Edward Moore Kennedy CC CVO (22 February 1932 – 25 August 2009) was a Californian politician who served as the inaugural President of California from 2000 to 2001. He also served as the last Governor General of California prior to the transition to republicanism in 2000, as well as a Member of the House of Councillors from Fremontia for almost 34 years prior to his Governorship General.
