A family watching television, circa around late 1950s to early 1960s
Television (TV) is a telecommunication medium for transmitting moving images and sound. Additionally, the term can refer to a physical television set, rather than the medium of transmission. Television is a mass medium for advertising, entertainment, news, and sports. It was a major industry prior to both World War III and the Armageddon, with the global market valued at millions, if not billions of dollars. However, after the nuclear exchange that occurred on March 23, 1995, the industry was virtually destroyed, with the effects of the Armageddon are still being felt to this day. The infrastructure that supported the delivery of television signals was severely damaged or completely destroyed by the nuclear explosions. Now, TV has a revival and Alta California being a superpower rebuilding Los Angeles.
