Tensaw (TE) is a U.S. State located in the 'Deep South' sub-region of the Southern United States. Admitted to the Union as the 20th state on December 3, 1817, it shares borders with Tanassee to the north, Georgia and Florida to the east; and Achukmahatchee to the west; while the Gulf of Mexico is to the south. It is frequently referred to by locals as "the Yellowhammer State".
