The Confederacy of Texas was a sovereign nation in North Columbia. The republic was founded by English- speaking white settlers who were attracted to Texas from the United States, and who revolted against the Mexican authorities in order to establish an independent state. The republic's borders were established by the Texas Declaration of Independence in 1836, and covered a large part of OTL Texas.
