Protest at The Council of Ministers Two Days after The Overthrow of Boyko Borissov
Protests in Minsk on The 16th of August 2020, One Day before The Overthrow of Alexander Lukashenko
The 2020-2021 Protests in Belarus and Bulgaria were a series of demonstrations that were held in Belarus and Bulgaria, mainly in the capitals of Minsk and Sofia, as well as cities with a large Belarusian and Bulgarian diaspora, such as Brussels, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Washington D.C., and London.
In Belarus, the protests broke out as a result of the disputed victory of Alexander Lukashenko in the 2020 presidential election, but, these protests were brutally suppressed. In Bulgaria, protests broke out because of corruption, and the protesters demanded the full resignation of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and his government. The thing about these protests is that they were only protests.
But, what if the protests in Belarus and Bulgaria were violent, lead to an all-out revolution in both countries? This is what this alternate timeline, The 2020 Revolutions, is going to explore.
