France, officially the Kingdom of France, is a country whose territory consists of metropolitan France in Western Europe and several overseas regions and territories. The metropolitan area of France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. It is bordered by Holland and Germany to the northeast, Switzerland, Monaco, and Italy to the east, and Andorra and Spain to the south. France is a constitutional monarchy with its capital in Orleans, the country's second largest city and main cultural and commercial centre. Other major urban areas include Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Lille and Nice.

Francois Fillon has been the Prime Minister since the 2008 election, however has promised to stand down at the 2023 election.

King Jean IV of France has been king since January 2019 after the death of his father. The monarchy in France was abolished in 1804, with the execution of Louis XVII and his Spanish wife. In the 1832 uprising Louis Philippe I was restored to the throne and in 1908, Louis Philippe III introduced elections to the office of Prime Minister; an office that has gained more and more wait since.

France is apart of the New Entente with the UK, Prussia and Portugal.
