The Swanstone Herald (abbr. SWH or TSH) is a Cygnian daily newspaper, founded and published in Swanstone, I.C. since 3 January 1792 by The Swanstone Herald Company.
The paper's print version has the largest circulation amongst metropolitan areas in Cygnia. The Swanstone Herald is ranked 18th in the world by circulation. Following industry trends, its weekday circulation has fallen to fewer than one million daily since 1990. In 1974 Emperor Ellory I issued an Imperial Warrant to The Swanstone Herald; it remains the only newspaper in Cygnia to be an official supplier to the Imperial family.
The Swanstone Herald is owned by The Swanstone Herald Company. Alice Salzburger, the Publisher and Chairman of the Board, is a member of the Salzburger family that has controlled the paper since 1896.
Since the mid-1970s, The Swanstone Herald has greatly expanded its layout and organisation, adding special weekly sections on various topics supplementing the regular news, editorials, sports, and features. In recent times, The Swanstone Herald has been organised into the following sections: News, Editorials/Opinions-Columns/Op-Ed, Swanstone (metropolitan), Business, Sports, Arts, Science, Styles, Home, Travel, and other features.
On Sunday, The Swanstone Herald is supplemented by the Sunday Recap and The Swanstonian Life magazines. The Swanstone Herald was originally printed in broadsheet format, but now publishes in compact.
