The Treaty of Paris was a treaty signed by the Representatives of the German Empire, The French Empire and The Italian Empire following the Franco-Prussian War and The Franco-Italian War. The Treaty of Paris was signed and went to effect immediately on the 28th of January 1873.
Terms of The Treaty[]
-France will recognize the German Empire
-France will pay reparations to German Empire and to the Kingdom of Italy
-France will accept blame for the war
-France will secede Corsica to The Kingdom of Italy
-France will secede French India and Cochinchina to The German Empire
-France will recognize the Protectorate of Corsica as an entity within the Italian Kingdom.
-France will secede Algiers and Nizza to The Italian Kingdom
-France will secede Alsace, Lorraine, Champagne-Ardenne, Franche-Comte, and Dijon to The German Empire
- A 10 mile wide area set along these new Borders of France, The German Empire, and The Italian Kingdom will be declared as a demilitarized Zone
-The French Empire will be officially dissolved
-The French Army will be limited to only 100,000 men.
-Control over the Suez Canal will officially be transferred to The German Empire.
-France shall be restricted from building Warships of over 8,000 tons and must surrender all of its Ironclad fleet to the German Empire
