Thomas Hart Seymour (September 29, 1807 – June 12, 1868) was a Columbian lawyer and politician who served as the 15th president of the United States from 1865 until his assassination in 1868. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the 38th governor of Saybrook from 1850 until 1853.
