The Treaty of Nouveau Alençon was a treaty that pertained to the War of the Amazone, and established peace between the Brésilian and the Iberian parties in the War.

Terms[]

  1. The Kingdom of Iberia will cede the entire domain of the Dominion of Amazonia to the Empire of Brésil, which includes the fort in São Atto (OTL: São Luís). The Dominion of Amazonia will cease to exist and will be annexed into the federal domain of the Empire of Brésil. This includes the Iberian claims which cover the Amazonia River Valley.
  2. Iberian citizens located within the Dominion of Amazonia have until January 1st of 1807 to accept Brésilian citizenship or leave Brésilian territory. If they choose to stay and become citizens there former property rights are guaranteed.
  3. The Empire of Brésil will release all captured prisoners of war from the Capture of Bélem and all prisoners of the captured government of the Dominion of Amazonia.
  4. There will be a truce between the Empire of Brésil and the Kingdom of Iberia which lasts eighteen years until 1825.
