The Tuareg Confederation is a landlocked country in northern Africa. It borders Berberia to the northwest, Carthage to the northeast, Cyrenaica and Kanem to the east, Sokoto to the southeast, Ghana to the southwest, and the Wolof Confederation to the west. It is a member of the League of Nations. Its capital is Timbuktu. Its surface area of 2,320,431 square kilometers makes it the fourth-largest country in Africa and the 14th-largest in the world, while its 23.4 million inhabitants make it the 17th-most populous country in Africa and the 64th-most populous in the world.
