The 1997 United Kingdom Leagues Cup, also known informally as the UKFA Cup, was the inaugural United Kingdom Leagues Cup played during the 1997-98 season.
The competition is notable for being the first time in which three teams from outside the English football league system. Celtic lost to Leeds United, with Bierhoff scoring against his former team Celtic. Rangers lost to Wimbledon, while St Johnstone were eliminated by Middlesbrough.
