Ukraine (Ukrainian: Україна, romanized: Ukrayina) is a sovereign state located in Eastern Europe. The nation is bordered by Russia in the northeast; Crimea in the south; Moldova and Romania in the southwest; and Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia in the northwest. Kyiv is the capital and largest city.
