Alternative History
Flag of the United Kingdom

The Union Flag, also known as the Union Jack, is the historical flag of the United Kingdom and the British Empire. The current design dates from the Union of Great Britain and Ireland in 1801.

Many countries in the post-Doomsday world use the Union Flag within their national flags as a symbol of their heritage and historic links to Britain or its colonies.

It retains an official or semi-official status in some Commonwealth Realms, for in example in Canada where it is known as the Royal Union Flag. In some states, especially those that were British overseas territories before 1983, the Union Flag remains in common use alongside or even instead of a local flag.
