The United Kingdom was once the owner of the largest overseas empire the world has ever seen. Using its powerful navy, the UK was able to project its power to every continent. It used this power to help the CSA gain independence from the US. However, by the end of WWII, Britain had granted independence to most of her colonies. Britain remains a close ally to both the USA and CSA as well as a substantial world power.
