United States gubernatorial elections were held on November 6th, 2018, in 36 states and three territories. These elections were part of the 2018 United States elections, held concurrently with elections to the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Many of the states that held gubernatorial elections in 2018 have term limits which make some multi-term Governors ineligible for re-election. Three Democratic Governors were term-limited, while seven incumbent Democratic Governors were eligible for re-election. Among Republican governors, twelve were term-limited, while nine could seek re-election. One of the two independent Governors - Kenneth Mapp of the U.S. Virgin Islands - sought and won re-election. The other independent, Bill Walker of Alaska, suspended his campaign in September.
