The United States of the Pacific is the Official Successor to the United States of America.
History
The Majority of Congress was evacuated to the Greenbrier Bunker, operating under Project Greek Island. They attempted to deliver an address, despite the failing television and radio networks across America. Most of the members of the House and Senate perished in the Greenbrier, though some are known to have left to make new lives for themselves. For Example, Edmund Muskie, Former Senator of Maine, abandoned the Greenbrier and became an important politician in Muskingum.
John F. Kennedy in early 1963 ordered an executive evacuation to Hawaii, upon the NECPA ships. Where in Hawaii they erected a provisional government, with hopes to re-take the american homeland. It soon became apparent that this hope was futile, as mainland america was too irradiated and too much of a quagmire for any hope of Unity.
Navy units and Army units stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Also quickly set course for the Hawaiian Islands very nearly meeting an end in the destroyed Panama Canal. But, they eventually in late 1964 finally made it to the Hawaiian Islands, significantly boosting the military power the American Provisional Government or (APG) had at its disposal to use as peacekeepers and defense forces.
In early 1964 nearing the end of his term John F. Kennedy delivered his famous speech about the need for American unity and a new era in which he proposed the reclamation of Alaska and the founding of the United States of the Pacific which would consist of Alaska, Hawaii, and the populated American overseas territories. John F. Kennedy’s proposal was quickly favored by both the civilian population, the military brass, and what was left of congress. Thus by 1965 Alaska had been reclaimed by USP forces
