Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna were gone too soon.

In an alternate timeline, on January 26, 2020, I could see Gianna convincing Kobe Bryant not to fly on the helicopter due to bad weather to the point where Kobe realizes how bad it really can be to frequently get around in helicopters. So he decides to be more like a lot of people by using road vehicles and trains to get around. A year later, I could see Kobe encouraging everyone regardless of race to get the COVID-19 vaccine after getting both of his shots.
