Hey, guys. I've been contemplating a new timeline in which Columbus's ship gets blown off course and his crew ends up in OTL Newfoundland, but I have one major concern. I have a feeling the Spanish wouldn't keep the colony because there wouldn't be as much gold as there is in South America, and they would probably abandon the colony.
Is this true? If I had created the timeline would it be considered implausible? Any help would be appreciated. 17:47, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
