Haha, if only my old dirt farming grandpa could hear that. Yeah your forgiven, relax dude. Mitro 21:14, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
Your First Mission As Grammar Nazi's Assistant
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find every last page on CYOAH that has a red link in, compile them into one list, and get them to me by noon, in your standard time zone. Also on that list, give me which time zone you are in, I am on the West Coast of the United States, therefore I am -8 Greenwitch time.
This message will (not) self destruct in five seconds.

Hey EE, I plan on adding more to the Technology (Advancement) page and I wanted to have your opinion on something first. Would there be a multi-national organization to oversee the arrival and departure of ships from the Earth's atmosphere? And if there would be, do you have any ideas for it that I should use when writing about it on the technology page?
Alternatively though, I don't need to write about it yet, and if you want to think about it more first, I understand.
Your Science Advisor, Red VS Blue 18:50, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
OOh, I like that idea. Do you mind if I get on that now? I can easily incorporate what everyone else has written on other pages. Though I think I'd need more history before I can put much detail. Red VS Blue 19:14, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
Neutrality of France
Well it was only created on July 25. You might want to try contacting the author first. He might not be willing to abandon his work just yet. Mitro 17:08, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
- He has a talk page, you can click to it on the history page of the article. But here is the link anyway: User talk:Delta Maximus. Mitro 17:16, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for your efforts with helping Jaz compile a list of rule breaking links in CYOAH, and a greatly appreciate your efforts. However, I think that the majority of the links that have been compiled can be altered, but I personally think the Hitler Dies: 1971 (CYOAH) is really pushing it, for Hitler would have died much, much earlier. I agree that some will have to be deleted, unfortunatly, as I think a lot of them are creative, if not outlandish.
Yes, some of them will go, but I would like it that the other ones be altered.
And PS: do you think it would be at all possible to change the successor of Hitler in the majority of these from always being Himmler? Every time you look at the aftermath of Hitler dying, and Himmler almost always take over. I believe that falls under the rule of "Keep it different, keep it interesting," so if some of those could be changed? Their was plenty other Nazi Officials that would have tried to take over the party, so if you look, you will find someone else to fit the bill.

I really like what you are doing with The Neutrality of France. You are taking that timeline places that I never could have. Good luck and keep up the great work!

I see that you used the Mittleafrika link I gave you, good luck! Please tell me what you thing of my Russian Timeline. VENEZUELA 17:56, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
All TLs that are nominated for featured status get 2 weeks to be passed or defeated. If nothing happens in 2 weeks they are automatically defeated. Since said nomination was created before this rule was created, its time started the day the rule took affect, thus the nomination still has until the 12th I believe before it is automatically defeated. That being said if you do not think it should be featured you could always vote against it, which would give it 3 objectors and thus would be defeated.
By the way, you seem to have shown some interest in the upkeep of this wiki. Any thoughts of being a Constable in the TSPTF? Mitro 16:58, August 6, 2010 (UTC)
Is back!!!!! ProfessorMcG 03:59, August 8, 2010 (UTC)
Hey EE, I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a look at my major TL, French Trafalgar, British Waterloo, as I'm just trying to see how the story is going along, and if it is somewhat plausible. Yeah, you can consider it me trying to figure out if its any good or not.
IF you don't have time, don't worry about it; if you do, I would really like some of your feedback! Tbguy1992 04:41, August 12, 2010 (UTC)
PS: Thanks for all the edits on CYOAH!
OK, do you have any idea how to fix it? I knew that it wasn't great, but I had no idea how to change the portal page. Tbguy1992 16:06, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
OK, but I won't be changing it until I get more of the TL done, so it might not be for a few weeks or even months before I could change it to the present situation (2010).
Have you read the rest of the TL, and do you have any ideas for it? Tbguy1992 17:24, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
reply to comment on WW1 (early WW1)
Is that name change to your liking? It now is shorter and goes with the same pattern as the rest of the articles in this history. --VonGlusenburg 17:17, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
My New Timeline
Indeed I am! It's a pretty exciting time. But you say that like one of us is leaving haha =P What about you? So what are you working on now? I haven't seen much going on with advancement unfortunately :( Red VS Blue 22:31, August 15, 2010 (UTC)
XD Oh okay haha Well I definitely hope that you succeed, cause I can't be much of a science advisor if there's no one or nothing to advise on =P It's going to be hard work though to keep everyone's interest, such is the burden of the timeline owner. With diligence it shouldn't be too hard to manage though :)
Oh yes, and to answer your question: Aetas ab Brian is one of my favorite timelines almost for exactly that reason, to fully understand it requires more than just reading, it also needs thinking. That and I love the narration style especially of the main page.
The PODs are basically 1st: An Egyptian historian from our 1950's is send back in time to 40 BC Ptolomaic Kingdom (Egypt) and then a 2030 Italian scientist is sent back to 30 BC Rome. Carico is that scientist. Brian is a reference to Monty Python's Life of Brian and in this he either is Brian from the movie, or most likely he is Jesus. I'm almost certain on that, but I don't know for sure, which is just part of the fun! haha
Anyway, its great talking to you. I guarantee you don't talk as weird as you think =P Red VS Blue 13:34, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
I looked at the History (Advancement) page and there's something I noticed haha The Europeans actually all knew that the Earth was round. The Greeks discovered it and basically everyone in Europe knew about it by the Middle Ages. I hope that helps, or doesn't disrupt things at least. Red VS Blue 15:22, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
Oh no, quite the opposite in fact. It was the Church and their Scholastic philosophers and scientists who were the main ones to support and spread the idea. It was an integral part of the "Aristotelian World View" which the Church loved so much. The only heretical idea related to this is the idea that the Earth isn't the center of the Universe. The Church and most scientists at the time were extremely opposed to anyone who tried to say that the Earth wasn't round. Red VS Blue 15:31, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
Oh no, as high a percentage of people then knew that it was round as do now. The story of Columbus going against everyone's belief and deciding himself that the Earth is round is completely false. Think about how easy it is to verify this. Watch a ship leave the shore on a clear day and you'll see its base disappear before its mast, rather than the entire ship simply shrinking away at once. Clearly this means its going "down" over something, ergo the Earth is round. A few other experiments could verify this as well (the Earth casts a round shadow over the Moon, which doesn't change size). People back then were probably smarter than people nowadays, so it's not like they wouldn't figure all that out as well lol Red VS Blue 20:16, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
haha I see you've asked your questions on the Aetas timeline yourself. Carico was the Italian engineer btw, the one from the future. Red VS Blue 17:08, August 17, 2010 (UTC)
No Napoleon's Elba
Dear EE, I understand that you previously owned the No Napoleon's Elba article, but now it is mine and I don't appreciate you adding categories on to my pages, I see it as my job to add the categories, and I hope you will respect my wishes. Ownerzmcown 17:14, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
Hey EE, there's just one day left for the nomination of Choose your own alternate history as a featured timeline and so I was wondering if you were still opposed to it being featured. Its been improved even more since its nomination and looks really professional I'd say. If the past two weeks have shown anything its that it has very high potential. So I ask, would you be willing to change your vote in support of it? It'd be pretty embarrassing for me if my efforts in nominating it were all for nothing =P haha Red VS Blue 15:32, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
No Native America
I read on your user page that the TL is open for adoption. May I adopt it? Fedelede 01:51, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
So... can I? Fedelede 21:22, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you! Fedelede 22:22, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
Hello, I am a new user to this site, and recently inquired about potential collaborators on the main page discussion thing. I was then pointed to the experts page, which led me to you. Looking at your page, you look like you have plenty of projects on your hand, so I understand completely if you cannot respond to this or help. My timeline is about an alternate America, and is very centered on the development of this alternate America. But, I would like to flesh out the rest of the world. One thing I was wondering about is how the UPCA and Gran Colombia would grow with explicit American backing, politically and militarily. One thing of note is that Mexico is a Republic, due to the lack of a Peninsular War. I am completely unsure if Gran Colombia and the UPCA were viable states in the long, or how they would put their collective resources together. Would they keep America at an arms distance, and not get too entangled lest they be annexed? Or would they look forward to some sort of annexation? I am more inclined to keep them independent, but I'd like to see your input on the issue. Also, how do you think Mexico would develop without the influx of American immigration in the 20s and 30s (Canada opened up to American settlement leads to alternate immigration).
Wow, that was quite a rant. Sorry about that. Get back to me if you can. Thanks! Randomideaguy 23:57, October 3, 2010 (UTC)
A message of great importance
Ah, EE, you've been behind me one hundred percent, no matter how hair-brained my schemes (I tell you, if the chinese hadn't protected themselves in that layer of smog, my Moon-laser would worked like a charm!)
Now EE, I come to you in need of your enlistment to my cause; to rebel from the Wikia Higher-uppers, and end the evil that the new skin has brought about! Let me fill you in a bit more;
I. . .I. . .
Who would do this? Who would make an Althistory like this? Worsening what was already the worst tragedy in American history? Curse my vivid imagination; I can see myself there, amongst the dead and the dying. . .
'Tis truly a horrifying sight.
For a time, I have been silent.
But I can hold my feelings no longer! It may just be the new skin, or it may be a sudden influx of stupid people, but the way I see our AH wiki. . .OUR wiki, which belonged to the people, has been sucked up, into some sort alien spaceship, never to be seen again! And now we have THIS, this monstrosity! Sic Semper Tyrannis! I knew we couldn't trust them! For too long we ate out of their hands, lulled into a false sense of security! And now they rip the rug out from under us! We have given them Leeway, and we have put up with the many things gone wrong since the new skin was instated, but I say neigh!
I say we give those rabscallions one week to meet our demands, or we will move off, off to the AWA!
Who is with me? A call to arms I say! Who shall join me in this rebellion? In this taking up arms against our oppressors! Agains all the evil of all the lands! *takes in big breath, begins shouting* WE SHALL STORM INTO THE HALLS OF WIKIA, AND DEEMAND OUR FREEDOM! WE WILL NO LONGER EAT CAKE, BUT REJOICE WITH PIE! WE SHALL SHOW THEM WHAT FOR! WE! SHALL! BE! FREE!
Some of you may be against me, some of you will be saying
"Jazon! This is too far, too much! We cannot abandon Wikia after they have broken our legs" And I would say
"Go on! Stay here and fight with your loyalist brothers! I am not here to stop you! I am here to free the others!" Some will say
"Jazon, a week is too short a time, surely we can be more patient!" And I would say
"Go and join your loyalist friends! If you are not with me, you are against me! One week I say, and not a second more!"
Even if I have to do it myself, if I have to I will have a navy of rowboats! An army of bicycles! An air force of one hot air balloon being pulled by a pestered Pachyderm!
So I say again! Those devils in Wikia will not stand a week from now! Who will join my cause? Or must I go Benidect Arnold upon them?
That is all. Retrieved from "http://althistory.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:9/11/2001_was_MUCH_worse" I need you EE. The Wiki needs you.Get back to me as soon as you can.Jazon Naparleon 04:23, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
