ASB
No. It is not "calling it BS." If that were the case, it would have been said outright.
It is not plausible. At all.
I admit, I had it slightly confused with another, similar timeline in my post on your blog - but only because it has the same problems.
Categories are our responsibility to add. End of story.
Lordganon 05:59, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
Wow. Talk about overreacting. You'll note that I said it wasn't plausible, not that it was a bad read. Lordganon 08:23, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
ASB question
Hello there. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I believe my timeline has become an ASB (at least according to this websites' definition on ASB). I don't know why the category wasn't added, but I have corrected it. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 15:08, July 26, 2012 (UTC)
Hey, some of the images you're uploading already exist. Just look up some existing presiednts list or something. Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 22:55, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
While I have no power to enforce this, I am kindly going to ask you to stop uploading these images of Presidents. The majority of the images are alreayd on this wiki and you are creating duplicates, which is not only annoying, but also screws up coding sometimes.
Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 01:36, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
At this point I am going to tell you one last time to stop before I get some admin or something on the case to delete those unneeded duplicates.

Spelling and Grammar
Always nice to see someone fixing errors around here.
One problem, however - some of these are you taking words, spelled correctly, that are British users are writing, and changing the spelling to US spelling.
They are not errors - so please do not change them in the future.
Thanks.

Iwa, please quite adding those tags to articles with the word "Timeline" in them. That tag is only for portal pages of timelines, not the articles you keep adding it to. Lordganon (talk) 08:13, October 25, 2012 (UTC)

I would appreciate of you not edit my pages unless it is for spell check. --RandomWriterGuy (talk) 21:31, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
I checked, and there was a box that I did not remember putting there. RandomWriterGuy (talk) 04:04, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
Oh, thanks. Is there a country or area that hasn't been covered by Doomsday already that I could do? Let me know.
As sincerely as my conscience will allow (pretty damn sincere),

New Pages
Chris, next time you see a new page, please do be just a tad bit more careful when editing it. Your addition of the mere category "Treaties" undid all the writing I had done since the creation of the page "Treaty of Newfoundland." I admit, this too is a lesson I learned, but I do think you should be aware of this too. :)

Targets
Linz isn't one, even remotely. Austria was neutral. Vienna getting hit is merely a tactic to hinder the Austrian government. Nothing more, nothing less - and if you look at the articles, you'd see that.
The PRC 21st Group Army is one of two formations, at the present time, responsible for defending the northwestern PRC. Militarily, it's insignificant. And its headquarters isn't there, either - the command center for that region of China is Lanzhou - a target. There is no reason whatsoever to add Baoji - and we do not know if it was there in 1983, either.
Anshan doesn't have any real reason to be hit, either. Have a look into why the Soviets nuked China.
Lordganon (talk) 10:40, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
Not only do you overstate Fort Rucker, but those elements weren't moved there until after the PoD.
No munitions facilities were nuked anywhere. They aren't a primary target, and at best you can call them a secondary one - not that I'd even go that far. And had you looked around at all, you'd have noticed that Rock Island wasn't a target, and that's something explicitly stated more than once - same with Pine Bluff. The mere idea that those weren't hit, but the others were makes absolutely no sense. Hence, they were not.
Fort Irwin is far more than that - it's called the National Training Center for a reason. An armored regiment is stationed there, and there's always troops there on training missions. It's destruction eliminates, for all purposes, a division or troops, in addition to crippling training.
"Lanzhou Military Region" - the headquarters location should be obvious just by glancing at the name. Google the thing. Baoji is not, nor has itever been, the regional headquarters.
Globalsecurity.org is vastly overrated.
Lordganon (talk) 07:37, March 18, 2013 (UTC)
You obviously didn't even try to Google it, then - the first entry agrees with me. As does the page on Globalsecurity.org that is the third entry in such a Google search.
What the unit is equipped with is irrelevant. And you mistake the range for the size of the base - the base itself is a pretty compact target, imo.
Lordganon (talk) 10:46, March 18, 2013 (UTC)
Like I said, their Army Groups are actually pretty insignificant - they are at most a few divisions strong, and often less. The one you've referred to, for instance, has two actual divisions and a brigade attached to it (the artillery and air defence is actually spread among the others, and is far weaker in the first place). Pretty much any army garrison in the USA or USSR would have had more units attached.
The one munitions facility is only a storage site - as is, really, most of their munition sites, for ammo or chemical weapons. They don't gain anything by hitting it. And Rock Island has never really produced much ammo - it's responsibility is the delivery systems for the ammo, and not all that much of that. Like the others, the priority is storage of these things. There is absolutely no reason to think that it would be a target in our exchange. You do far more damage to the ability to build such devices or ammo by hitting civilian cities.
Iwa, none of that was at Fort Rucker until 1984.

Please upload the correct files and names
Greetings. For the past few weeks, you have been doing a lot of uploading. Much of these are from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. However, the versions you are uploading are not the same files used from Wikipedia. For some reason, you have been uploading files which have "-1" in the file name (which no file from Wikipedia should have), and you have not been uploading the correct file types for many of them (such as the SVG files).
For the future, please keep these in mind:
- Be sure that you are uploading the correct file types (SVG, JPG) that the file from Wikipedia is using.
- Be sure that you are uploading files from Wikipedia in the correct file names (no "-1" and no "220px-", etc.).
- Don't forget to add the licensing when uploading files (such as "from Wikipedia").
- And do not keep adding your uploads to you timeline's category. That category is for articles and files strictly for your timeline, which many of your recent uploads are not solely for.
Please keep these in mind for the future. You can contact me if you have any questions. Thank you. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 16:45, April 11, 2013 (UTC)
- I understand. I have noticed this for a while, but I didn't want to intrude unless this became a continuous issue. All you really need to understand is that when uploading a file from Wikipedia, you just have to upload the "full resolution" file and not the preview. When you upload the full resolution to your desktop, the correct file name from Wikipedia is already on there. So when you upload it here, the file name should be the same. If it has "-1-" or "200px" in the title, that is not the correct version. I look forward to answering any questions you may have. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 18:32, April 11, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for adding the licensing on your upload of Mercury. However, you still have the "-1-" at the end of the file name. It should be titled "Mercury Globe-MESSENGER mosaic centered at 0degN-0degE.jpg" not "Mercury Globe-MESSENGER mosaic centered at 0degN-0degE-1-.jpg" --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 23:37, April 11, 2013 (UTC)
- Remember I told you that categories for you timeline are only for articles and files solely for your timeline. Please do not be adding your timeline category to every file you upload. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 00:15, April 12, 2013 (UTC)
Just to let you know, when you uploaded File:Venus-real.jpg, you didn't upload the correct file. The file resolution you uploaded was 250x250, when the actual file on Wikipedia is 471×471. Please upload the correct file. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 15:14, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

Space Race
are you gonna update the Space Race didn't End page? Homesun (talk) 03:41, January 8, 2016 (UTC)
I would like to adopt the article -Scotland (1983: Doomsday).
I would like to adopt the Scotland (1983: Doomsday) page to create an economic policy (I'm sure they will have at least some farms, some basic food processing factories and a few fishing vessels) and to add to both the general political, national policing and local organisational aspects of it.
EoGuy99 did the last edit (a spelling and grammar check) 05:46, June 5, 2019.
The creator's ( Smoggy80) last edits was at: 19:10, February 18, 2013.
The official T.L. guide says "So, if an editor has been missing for three months, another editor can adopt his articles. We ask that the adopting editor make an attempt to contact the missing editor by leaving a message on his or her talk page. If the missing editor does not respond in one week, the adopting editor can safely become the new caretaker of the article in question." [1].
I have asked EoGuy99 and Smoggy80 and if they either agree or don't say anything in 2 weeks I will assume temporary authority over it and add some more detail to it. User:Todetode :. ~ Under the Hood, Connect to Basic information? ~ Todetode (talk). 22:09, July 10, 2020 (UTC)
