Well as you joined MDM as Mainz, i would like to inform you of the current situation in the holy roman empire and the mainz-lotharri relations.
The HRE Until Feinsan Regnier was mostly ruled and directed by the Lotharingian king, the decline coming from a long standing rivalry with the Kings of Bohemia. Whom were able to make Feinsan Regnier abdicate after Feinsan chose to support pope Mark while most of the holy roman empire and the world recognised Benedict XI. Which made it so there was a short interim period after which a new emperor was ellected.
With King Godfried of regnier seeking to have diplomatic relations and diplomacy above violence, he choice to begin improve relations with German states such as Hesse, Mainz and the Hanse. The Holy roman empire stabalising under the new Bohemian emperor since, as no major internal war has happend in the holy roman empire.

Welcome to Merveilles du Monde! I'm the Papal States player. Since you joined the game as the Archbishop of Mainz, I'll tell you about some Institutions of the Church that exist in MdM.
Army of Mercy: a sort of relief force under the control of the Church. See there: https://althistory.fandom.com/wiki/Army_of_Mercy_(Merveilles_du_Monde_Map_Game)
Association of Missionaries and Preachers (AMP): This institution trains lay people to become official preachers of the Church. They are recognised by special medals with the seal of the Holy See that they use. It's present in most of the Catholic nations that also have the Inquisition.
Institute for Works of Charity: It's responsible to use papal beneficies and donations to do works of charity. It's present in several nations and the headquarter is in Rome.
Pontifical Roman Press: the official printing press of the Church. Translations of the Bible in vernacular are only allowed if they have the seal of this press. Due to plausibility, these Bibles curently can only be used by members of the AMP and clerics.
Supreme Sacred Congregation of the Roman and Universal Inquisition: It's the Inquisition. Burning people at the stake is discouraged by a papal bull of Pope Sixtus V. Since then, heretics are condemned to life imprisonement or forced labour. In case of forced labour, they break stones in mines, these stones are used to build churches and houses for the poor.
Ecclesial Tribunal: It's a tribunal of the Holy See that investigate and judge clerics that have done some type of abuse, for example simony. If guilty, these priests are excommunicated and imprisoned for the rest of their lives.
Cardinal-Secretary: Performs all the political and diplomatic functions of the Holy See and the Papal States. The cardinal is chosen to this position if he is the second most voted in the last Conclave. If there isn't a second most voted, the pope choose a random cardinal. The current Secretary is Cardinal Francesco Della Rovere.

Hello, I am the player for Bohemia in MDM. I would like to urge you to please vote for me in the upcoming imperial election. I should note I do not have greedy ambitions; I don't wish to expand or conquer lands for myself, I simply want to create interesting stories and history by having some strange emperors. The previous emperor died, but not of my doing but rather at the hands of a different player, and I have decided that Henry III of Bohemia should run to succeed him. I have decided to streamline the offices and titles of the HRE, which I listed here: https://althistory.fandom.com/wiki/Holy_Roman_Empire_(Merveilles_du_Monde_Map_Game)
I really like the lore you created and I took note of the characters you mentioned so far. I want Archbishop Diether von Isenburg of Mainz to be one of the most senior members of the government, and Kaspar von Roggendorf as well. I will gladly give Mainz whatever land it desired, or help you obtain whatever goals you want. Like I said I personally don't want anything as Bohemia, I just hope that for a brief period of the game's history we can create a truly interesting story with great characters and funny deeds. I don't want to hold onto the imperial title forever, in fact I plan to have my emperor die very quickly so that someone else can succeed him (someone not of my dynasty). If that sounds appealing to you then please vote for Henry III!
Sounds good, when did you plan for him to die? I can potentially hold off a while. Also let me know what you were thinking for centralization, I would gladly like your input and would be happy to incorporate it. I plan to post my first law tonight on the HRE page, which will have a series of reforms in it. Javants03 (talk) 03:25, April 15, 2020 (UTC)
It sounds like we had similar plans, as most of that I've already done in the law I put up. I established a supreme financial office (although I called it "High Treasurer"), and I appointed Kaspar von Roggendorf to the position, so you can actually control him and play as that office. I am fine with creating a defacto capital but I was leaning toward different cities than Nuremburg, and I was thinking that we would have the branches of government spread out similar to South Africa (I was thinking Frankfurt would be the legislative capital, and probably become the de facto capital overall, while for the judicial capital I chose Worms for now, but I could change that). I created a central judicial system as well that is based on the Reichskammergericht as well.
The military reform sounds like a good idea, either write it out and send it to me or post it in your turn to propose it, and then I'll approve it. If you have any other suggestions as well you can send it to me or propose it. And since you technically control several cabinet positions, such as the head of the treasury, feel free to work on treasury-related matters, such as the creation of mints. New Imperial Law
I put up a new law for the HRE in 1492 here:
Imperial Civil War
In my newest turn I roleplayed out the war, as I didn't want to actually destroy Mainz (or anyone for that matter) or have to deal with algorithms and the like. If you want to add more to the story let me know. The summary is the heresy was defeated in Thuringia like you wanted, but the inquisition attempted to take over fully and depose the Thin White Duke. I had the Inquisition eventually defeated by the Emperor, and no harm will come to Mainz/the Archbishop. The Thin White Duke was cleared of being a heretic, as the only reason he was declared one in the first place was actually a moderator's error, and the mod later changed the mod response undoing that. However, the TWD is also not in the current government at all, which I think you'd prefer. I had to kill the person you originally had as Grand Marshall, but if you want to create any new characters let me know and I'll add them, so that you can continue to do your positive work in the government. Also, let me know what plans you had for the empire or for religion. I much prefer to roleplay with the other players as much as possible. It's more difficult since you don't have discord, but normally the other German players and I act out interactions and sometimes even have DnD-style sessions to resolve issues. Thanks, Nathanadrian (talk) 21:00, April 30, 2020 (UTC)
Yesterday I was banned from the game so unfortunately I will not able to work with you on Jungism or religion at this time. Likewise it looks like many players may be quitting over this development, so you might find the HRE fairly empty. But I hope that you are willing to preserve my legacy and not have Jungism completely destroyed in our absense.
Furthermore the Jungists have not all refused to attend the council, it's just that I am unable to post as them so I couldn't have any join. I would also like to point out that a council and a synod are synonyms; you support the ecumenical councils but reject the synods, but those are the same thing essentially.
And I would like to say it's been fun playing with you and I appreciated the lore Mainz wrote, I hope we can work together in the future some day. Thanks, Nathanadrian (talk) 20:53, May 13, 2020 (UTC)
Please Join Chat
I just saw your message and I haven't read it yet, but going off what Nathan1123 has told me, I think you should join chat and talk to us real quick. Mainz isn't being destroyed nor are you losing everything (or really anything), as I am not allowing that. I can explain better in chat. We are also going to host a Diet there.
Also to be clear I am not actually angry at you, what you did was fine and actually quite good. My character was just angry at your character. But you could always make someone else become the Archchancellor. Javants03 (talk) 23:29, May 14, 2020 (UTC)
About the reformation
Hello!Sorry for the delay in giving an answer, I'm busy due to in real life problems. Your idea is good, but I don't know if the protestants would accept or even if the mods would allow it. The mods wanted the reformation to happen. At this point the only thing that we can do is start the Counter reformation like happened OTL. --VitLou (talk) 23:20, May 18, 2020 (UTC)
