Sorry for the late response, completely slipped my mind. Yes, I think Polynesians could naturally wind up in Antarctica, although it would be in extremely small numbers. I'm interested to see what you come up with as far as their interactions with the Antarcticans is like. KingSweden 01:30, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

That's really something, good work. I absolutely love it. It's work like that that's made Great White South featured.

Speaking of which, I actually more or less personally authored another featured TL - Napoleon's World. If you ever have a minute, take a look and let me know what you'd think, I always feel like I'm not getting a lot of input on it, which is wierd considering that it's been on the featured list for about two months now.

Thanks! KingSweden 05:31, June 16, 2010 (UTC)

I realize Dick van Dyke winning the Presidency at the ripe young age at 39 is a little extreme - but hey, they always say history is stranger than fiction, right? I figured I'd have some fun with the TL since the POD is so far back in the past.

As for your other note, a funny story actually - I made it to around 1896 or 1900 or so on a page dedicated to the history of the US, then my Internet screwed up and it all vanished when I tried to save it. Back to the drawing board I guess. And I'm still researching Napoleonic France, but there are plenty of pages about specific monents in French history (Iron Revolution (Napoleon's World) is a great one) that is a little bit more like what you're talking about.

Thanks for the input,

KingSweden 19:31, June 16, 2010 (UTC)

Napoleon's World is an ever-evolving work in progress. A few weeks ago I decided to have the US President swap down, just for kicks. I have wanted to flesh out early French history for a while though, I'm just not very comfortable with that period yet - and I don't want to invent new people when I have to account for real-life heroes of the Empire (finding out about Ney, Massena, Soult and all those people threw a wrench in an article I'd already written, unfortunately). Let me know whatever other thoughts you have, I'm always looking for input or even fresh ideas.

Hi Mr. Sheen, I'm just writing to congratulate you for your template, and I was going to ask why don't you add the flags to the Africa template and add the countries that does not appear like Kabylie for more of them see the World Country Profile, and remember add the ones in South Africa. Also Orania and Griqualand are going to join South Africa the same day of Zululand, so please add them in the template. sorry if i'm bothering you. Please Answer me. VENEZUELA 22:36, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, Sheen. I don't want to piss you off, but I took out the un-made nations from your template. I did this because I don't want people's ideas for the region to go to waste when they find out that it was taken place by a dozen un made articles. Also, what are we going to do about the GSWA and Walvis? Arstarpool 00:36, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

I personally don't mind whether the articles stay in the template or not. As Venezuela said, they have been mentioned on the South Africa article; but you're right, they haven't even been proposed yet, let alone made into canon. For now, I think we should leave them out; but since they are mentioned in the South Africa article, they probably will eventually get made.
As for GSWA and Walvis, I've had a few more ideas (I'll make some maps and put them on the GSWA talk page). Until we come to a final decision, let's leave both as canon for now. - Mister Sheen 15:37, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
For Walvis, I had an idea. The area would exist independently during the South African Civil War mentioned in GSWA, and the article would exist simply to document it, similar to the Republic Of Iowa

Please do! Everyone is welcome to join in!...Smallpox 21:49, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering if you would want to help more out on CYOAH: we could always use editors of your creative caliber to help out, and the ones that you created in the beginning have sparked a major flurry of activity that virtually completed several TL's. If you are busy with other TL's I understand, and I, if you need help with them, I will happily do as much as I can.

Also, If you have time, would you mind checking out my primary TL, French Trafalgar, British Waterloo? I would like to get as many people to give me some feedback and comments so I can improve it.

Thanks! Tbguy1992 00:45, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, you know that, if you want to, or have an idea, you can add to it: just because someone said their were so many choices, doesn't mean they are the only choices. Tbguy1992 01:25, August 20, 2010 (UTC) Sorry, but I have only given two other people the right to create new POD's for CYOAH, for now. And, I would really want to get more pages done before another POD is started. What I had meant is on already created articles that have two or three choices, that new divergences could be added from them. Although, if CYOAH gets bigger (I hope!), you'll be the first person I think of for adding to the club of Controllers for CYOAH, along with Azecreth & Jazon Naparleon. However, I don't want the bureaucracy get to big to fast, so it may be a while.
And, on a side note, do you have any ideas for the late 19th century world in FTBW? I have a rough idea of what will be going on, but do you have any ideas that may prove to be better than mine? Tbguy1992 02:45, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

Lil' Wayne and 1983:DD

Don't let Arstar's blog entry cause you to walk away from 1983:DD. That was his blog entry, and his opinion. I think I understand why that would cause you to not want anything to do with the timeline, and let me say that the editors on 1983:DD - even Arstar - take it seriously. --BrianD 01:44, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for looking over my TL! It makes me feel better knowing that some people believe that I'm doing a good job: real great morale booster!

As for the War in Siam: I think it would be plausible, especially in the 1880-1890's, mostly because A) I have only reached that part, and have no idea (most likely it would have been a factor leading to the next World War that I'm starting to lead up to in my TL), and maybe it is France who is trying to gain a foot hold, as after the previous war, France had to give up it's Indian holdings to Great Britain, so they would want to expand their empire as well. And due to the belligerency of the Emperor of the Empire, it could be another event that nearly results in the Second Global War (the first was in the 1860's), but diplomacy prevails. This would be simmilar to OTL's Berlin Conference I'm guessing.

Any other ideas? Tbguy1992 15:20, September 13, 2010 (UTC)

List of Presidents (W-E)

Thanks for the posting of the presidents. I have been meaning to at least get that time line up to the present in outline form. I am not so sure that Bill Clinton would have fallen in place as easily as you have him following Dan Quayle, but sense I've done nothing past George H.W. Bush taking office in 1981, I guess that will do. The turmoil in Africa due to a Communist Europe might mean that Obama, Sr., would not have traveled to Hawaii to sire Obama, Jr., so the 2008 election is still up for grabs. I'll do a little research and get back to the time line later today (it's Sunday morning here). SouthWriter 04:55, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I suppose "Quiet Cal" needs something to do after losing the election, right? Imagine a political "Great Gatsby" that Coolidge wrote in the late 1920's, perhaps in protest to the Al Smith/Joe Robinson administration? Not every Alternate Destiny needs a real-world parallel. My favorite ones are the ones that don't at all.

Also! Noticed you're an American and intrigued by politics. The 2010 midterm elections are coming up and Bruce Springsteen and the Democrats might be totally screwed. How's your skill with politics/elections pages?

You might like some of the features I've done on elections so far (the 1988 Presidential one is the most complete).

KingSweden 01:59, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

That would be helpful! That's not a period I'm super familiar with. Basically, all you need to know for historical context is that the Pacific War starts as Hughes is leaving office, Coolidge is upended for ______ reason and thus loses the "unlosable" 1924 election to the Catholic Al Smith, who promptly drives the country into a steep recession called the "Smith Slump" and the Pacific War goes poorly. He's assassinated in 1927 and Joe Robinson takes over. While the war goes better under Robinson, he bungles a plot called "the Ides of March" in which several top Japanese military leaders and even the Shogun are killed, and he loses to Hoover in 1928.

Hoover is a two-termer during the economic boom of the 1930's, and is succeeded by his second VP, Alfred "Alf" Landon in 1936 (FDR loses the '32 and '36 elections). By 1940, the economic tides are turning and Joseph Kennedy Sr. wins a narrow race over Landon. Other than that, it's a pretty undeveloped era in American politics as far as the details go.

And yeah, perfect! I love your Coolidge idea. Good thinking.

KingSweden 18:57, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

This must be my lucky week. The day after Yank writes his best Alternate Destiny yet, I get a true gem like the Coolidge bio. Bravo. Love the "Marrekech" one the best - that's a Napoleonic reference, I'm assuming? Good work!

KingSweden 19:43, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

Oooh I like that. Lemme know what your ideas for the Colonial Wars are, I'm intrigued to hear them. I believe I have Morocco as a part of Spain on the world map, but Spain and France have always been attached at the hip ever since the 1820's. Your "Friendly Isles" idea also gave me a brainwave: it could have been part of the inspiration for Jack Kennedy's iconic 1962 film Oahu!

KingSweden 23:34, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

Wars and Whatnot

For the French Civil War, a page has been started, but not for the other two - I'm still thinking about the Pacific War at this time. The Colonial Wars are yours to expand upon as you wish, however. The timeframe for them is roughly between 1907 (French invasion of Singapore) and the early 1920's with the European stock market crash. The French were fighting in Indonesia (lost), Hindustan, many parts of Africa and possibly even in the Mideast. Like I said, that's yours to do what you wish with, you're a good writer.

Sure! As long as Coolidge stays Hughes VP and the National Party presidential candidate in 1924, you do whatever you like, I'm always intrigued to see what people come up with.

KingSweden 23:26, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

I think you more or less have the right idea there. Britain was dissolved and kneecapped in 1815 (I'm going to makea Treaty of London page today or tomorrow, actually) and France was an internal Empire, not an overseas one like the British in OTL (what I mean by that is that Napoleon and his successors were more focused on their European Empire than any overseas holdings). But yes, the fighting was over the control of colonies, the establishment of new ones and putting down rebellions in already established ones. Hindustan (check map, big red blob in Pakistan) would probably have been expanded drastically during this time.

Whatever works, I was just letting you know the alignment of Morocco. France would probably have come to Spain's aid, realistically, due to the proximity to Algeria. And I think I might actually make a page about Oahu itself, due to its significance.

KingSweden 18:49, October 29, 2010 (UTC)

Napoleon's World

Hello there! Sorry it took so long to get back to you, school is swamping me :P

Anyhow, I made a Pacific War page, but if you're still interested, I'd like to see what you can come up with. I think the basic flow is war declared in 1924, shit hits the fan for the US in 1925 (including an invasion in California, Oregon and maybe even Washington and Pacifica) and then the Americans drive the Japanese back and the battle for Hawaii occurs in 1926, and continues westwards across the ocean in '26, '27 and '28 to a point of stalemate. This is where "Ides of March" comes into play, but I want to do that page myself.

This obviously leaves the Alaskan/Aleutian front, Siberian front, Indochinese front, Indian front and Indonesian/Australian front completely open. I honestly have no idea what to do there. It's like inventing World War II from scratch (the Pacific War is essentially an earlier, extended and more horrific version of the Pacific theater of WW2).

Also, the only Colonial Wars I've really thought of are the invasion of Singapore in 1907, but nothing written there, and I know they'll be fighting in India at some point... I know I touched on it in my Mysore page. I'm taking a class in Indian history currently, it's really fascinating stuff, so I can provide ideas if you want. I'm personally focusing on the Cold War right now.

KingSweden 21:42, November 19, 2010 (UTC)

Well I think I have the airplane getting invented in 1890's in this TL due to butterfly effect or whatever - yes, yes, I know that the technological margins are a little off (the atom bomb gets its first test in 1958-59 f.ex.), but I agree that the boats would be much less advanced.

Well I think this is partially outlined on the Pacific War (Napoleon's World) page, but its the Allied Powers vs. the Asian Powers. The Allies are led by America and Oceania (Australia + New Zealand and part of Indonesia), and include Colombia, Chile, Alaska and Siberia, as well as a loose alliance of post-Colonial Wars Indian states and such.

The Asian Powers are led by Japan, who have a limited economic influence over China and Korea. This results in major land battles in Siberia and Alaska's Asian territories between the Siberian-Alaskan forces and the Chinese. In other words, the Chinese are the land power, the Japanese are the naval power. And yes, it is a huge bloodbath - what advantage the Americans and Oceanians have in technology is evened out by the sheer numbers employed by China and Japan, which are technologically inferior.

I'll see about the Colonial Wars pages, I think there'd be stuff going on in Africa at least... the French are closely aligned with the Malian Empire, if that helps?

Re: Award

Wow, well I'm not sure my article deserves that award, but maybe I'm just being modest. It's an honor, thank you.

And don't worry, take your time. I've almost exclusively been barraging the TL with sports articles lately anyways (it's college football season, it's what's on my mind haha)

KingSweden 23:58, December 9, 2010 (UTC)

Also, I'm having trouble figuring out how to make categories/subcategories and so forth, and the Napoleon's World category is getting rather bloated. I'm trying to figure out how to streamline the TL better with a category for things like Media or whatnot.

KingSweden 17:25, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

Well like I said, thank you, it's an honor.

And I meant creating new categories as a subcategory of the larger TL. I have a few (Wars, Elections, Nations, Sports, etc.) but I want to learn how to create new ones. Category creation is the one trick on here that has always eluded me. That and those @#!&$ templates! Gah

I liked the infobox you put together for Oahu! Looked great. I'll need to do those for other films. Speaking of which, here's something I hope you enjoy:

Batman vs. Superman

I still need to write the plot, but just try to imagine what a movie what that would be like! And yes, I know half of the actors are fictional.

Don't forget to check out the Jake McCoy series (Indiana Jones knockoff with Pierce Brosnan), Die Hard (with Richard Gere!) or Martin Jones (an adventure series in the English Anarchy). Rat Pack

I've started working on the influence of criminal Rat Pack on Las Vegas in Napoleon's World, but since it was your idea, I figured I'd hold off until I got some more input on the idea from you. My idea was this: the Italian Dino Cocetti (Dean Martin's real name) and Frank Sinatra start muscling out Midwest and East Coast crime families from Vegas in the 1950's and 1960's and forge an alliance with the Jewish power brokers in the city a la Joseph Gottlieb (Joey Bishop's real name) and with business interests such as English expatriate Peter Lawford, who has connections to the Kennedy's (as in real life, both with Lawford marrying Pat Kennedy and with the Kennedys having mob connections). I'm not quite sure what to do with Sammy Davis Jr quite yet.

As a result, the Cocetti family becomes the dominant force in Vegas, take out or sell out their competitors (they'd likely have immunity from the FBI thanks to government connections they can thus use to their advantage) and Vegas would still have organized crime elements all the way into the 1990's. Cocetti's sons Craig, Paul or Ricci could eventually cripple the family through infighting amongst themselves and cause a schism with Sinatra's offspring, perhaps? I'm intrigued to hear your thoughts.

KingSweden 23:06, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Maybe Sinatra could be a capregime from one of the Five Families who forges an alliance between one of the families and Crocetti's gang in Las Vegas and helps the Crocettis outmuscle competition out of the city? I like the Sammy Davis Jr. idea, and maybe he could use his mob influence to get other black and Jewish performers acts during the 1950's, helping expediate the civil rights process (which begins earlier in ATL, is more peaceful/less dramatic or overt and takes longer to fully realize). As a criminal with Mafia connections, Davis, Jr. might actually have been reviled by more mainstream civil rights leaders such as Louis Armstrong and later Martin King and Bill Cosby who felt that he was giving their cause a bad name.

I was thinking Lawford's family could have immigrated to America following the Socialist Revolution in the early 1920's, or immigrated to Oceania. Either way, Lawford winds up in the US with an Ivy League education, is close to the Kennedys and is a wealthy businessman. His business in Vegas warms him up with the Crocettis (probably through Gottlieb, who at least has a semi-legitimate front) and he then ties the 1964 Joe Kennedy, Jr. campaign to the mob (kind of the like the alleged OTL connection between Jack Kennedy and Chicago's Sam Giancana in 1960)...?

KingSweden 16:23, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

I wasn't necessarily advocating Davis being a "civil rights champion" in his own right, just that the mainstreamers rejected him as an artist and idol for young blacks to look up to due to his criminal connections. I imagined Davis being an entertainer focused on his own Mafia-funded career more than anything. With the segregation in ATL less overt and entrenched, I don't think a Malcolm X-type figure would have needed that kind of message.

KingSweden 18:23, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

David Cameron (Napoleon's World)

So I was watching Love Actually with my girlfriend last night and had a brainwave - what if we switched David Cameron (ATL Prime Minister, just like in OTL) with Hugh Grant, and made Cameron the awkward, dawdling Englishman that Grant seems to always play on film? Just an idea...

KingSweden 07:46, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

Sort of... David Cameron as a romantic comedy actor who plays awkward, dawdling and ineffectual romantic leads in a variety of films, and Hugh Grant is the current Prime Minister of England, who is also awkward, dawdling and ineffectual as a speaker but a surprisingly capable politician. It fits with the "accidental" nature that has Cameron become PM as the TL stands right now. Grant could even be occasionally referred to as "Cameronesque" if you follow.

Membership badge of the TSPTF

Congratulations, you are now a Constable in the TSPTF. This allows you to showcase the TSPTF membership badge on your user page. Furthermore it gives you the rollback power on this wiki. In the History page of an article you will notice a new option called "rollback". This is an anti-vandalism tool. It allows you to quickly undo edits in case someone has made more than one edit to a page. By clicking rollback it will immediately revert the article to a time before the offending editor edited the page. This is your most important duty. By agreeing to be a constable, you are promising to do your best to patrol for vandals and trolls.

When you get the chance, please go to the TSPTF page, and sign up for some responsibilities. In reality, none of us have the time to devote to all of the duties that are expected of an administrator of the wiki. You are expected, however, to sign up for at least three responsibilities listed in that section. These are duties that you are agreeing to carry out to the best of your ability every time you are on this wiki. The Friendly Isles

I wrote an article about the novel The Friendly Isles, with a full plot. Since it was your idea, if there are any improvements you could make or any things you would suggest changed, feel free, but I kept the core principles based on your description of Coolidge as well as the overall tone of Oahu.

The article can be found here: The Friendly Isles (Napoleon's World). I hope you approve!

Of course! Go for it.

Re: People's Republic of Aleksandria

Funny you should mention it. As a matter of fact, I have already worked out the history, politics, international relations, and even a flag for the nation. But I have been too busy to upload any of it. I would also like to note that the states of Ognia are out of date, especially after making standard a new detailed map of Antarctica. The only difference is that Alexandria will encompass that entire region of Antarctica. The only difference in the map will be that I'kranar will no longer be an island, and include the inland state of "Bolanvar" (which I have already removed from the list). Sorry to be a buzz kill, but thank you for reminding me about it. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 15:15, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

It's funny you mentioned it, a Soviet-aligned communist state is exactly what I had in mind. Two minds think alike ^_^ --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 18:55, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

Chile-Santiago in GWS

Hi MisterSheen! I can ask if you already decided if there will be some war or not between Chile and Santiago in Great White South? :) Regards --Katholico 19:05, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

Well, in the timeline, you wrote almost one year ago about the possibility of a war due to the Coup d'état of 1973 in Chile. So, i just want to know what you think now about this idea? jeje :P Regards! --Katholico 23:49, June 21, 2011 (UTC)
I think that only there might be a war if the Government of Santiago was willing to intervene firmly (by the force) in favour of the remnants of the Government of Allende. --Katholico 03:21, June 22, 2011 (UTC)
Understand. I don't think that Santiago have the sufficient popular support in Chile (in special for a military intervention), except by the extreme sectors opposite to Coup. And how as you said, there are important military differences between the two countries. And the population of Santiago is much smaller compared with Chile, right? If this is case, a war is unprobable. Regards! --Katholico 00:25, June 23, 2011 (UTC)
After think, I have two ideas, or options about the possibility of a war or another thing .
1) A War: Support from Santiago government during the Allende Government to left-wing armed groups in Chile It allows him to these groups to resist to the Coup d'état of 1973 and reorganized later to try in 1974 to overthrow to the dictatorship with support of Santiago which military forces invade by surprise the south of Chile (Chiloe, Valdivia), while the revolutionaries advance to attack to the capital. However, ultimately the support of the population proves be little (the foreign intervention move to the majority of the people to defend his country) and the military men manage to expel to them forces of Santiago and to crush to the guerrillas.
2) A incident: The government of Santiago just supports an attempt of uprising against the dictatorship, sending weapons and supplies (and previously, helping exiled rebels to enter to Chile), but this support is discovered and denounced internationally.

Basically these are. What thinks? make sense someone? ^^U Regards! --Katholico 02:09, June 30, 2011 (UTC)

Well, if you are agree i will prefer the option of armed conflict, principally due to the consequences that i think it would bring, for Chile for example. jeje Regards! --Katholico 15:29, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
I think that Chilean-Santiagan War. Others names could be South Pacific War, Chile War, Socialist Uprising of 1974 (in Chile, focus in the rebels), Spring War (if the conflict took place for example on August). What thinks? :)--Katholico 16:30, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
Then, South Pacific War could be the better option for the article. For the names in each country, i agree :) Regards! --Katholico 02:11, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
You will begin the article about the South Pacific War, right? For names of the chilean military and units you tell me when you need. Regards! --Katholico 01:42, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

Oh ok :) Well, i think that probably the conflict will take place in some moment of 1974 for give time to both side to prepare. Thanks and Regards! --Katholico 16:05, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks very much MisterSheen :) I will start to expand the article. Regards! --Katholico 00:03, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

Hi! I think that i wrote basically the principal events of the war, but maybe i need help with the aftermath (and names for Santiagan officers). Could help me please in this? :) Regards! --Katholico 04:32, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

OK! Thanks! :) --Katholico 00:20, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

Hi, how are yo! I think that basically, the article about the South Pacific War is complete with only the exception to the number of forces and casualties. What thinks you?, and esides, I would like if you help with the names of the Santiagan vessels deployed in the conflict, please? Thanks! :D --Katholico 21:34, September 22, 2011 (UTC)
That's ok! About the casualties, i thinking this in base to the numbers that we have put:
  • Chilean side: 3,000 deads, 5,000 injures
  • Santiagan side: 1,500 deads, 3,000 injures.
  • Rebels: 2,000 deads, 2,500 injures.
  • Civils: 1,000 deads, 4,000 injures.
There are some suggestions for names for ships: President E. Sanchez, President José Guerrero, General Chavarría, what thinks? Much or few casualties? Regards! --Katholico 21:12, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, this pictures i found for to use it in an timeline in the spanish wikia. I will search one image for the naval combat. The chilean navy, according my research, have aprox. 9 ships at beggining of 1974. Yeah, maybe are too much the casualties... mmm, a third of this numbers would be better? Regards! --Katholico 00:42, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
Yep, looks better. Maybe, just, the civilian casualties could reach to 600 deads and 1,500 injures. And for the lost of ships, i think that the chilean could lost 1 or 2 during all the conflict (one for plane attack). The principal naval combat and where i think should produce the major casualties in the fleets, would be in the Chacao Channel. What thinks? Regards and thanks! --Katholico 18:10, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. :) Well, i already wrote about the naval operations in the article, only in general terms of course. I mentioned that result of the Battle in Chacao Channel was key for that the Santiago government decide to end the war. I don't know if we should create articles for each important battle to recount the events with details. Regards! --Katholico 02:40, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, sounds good. And i will make a template for the war similar to this Template:NSW. Regards and thanks! --Katholico 19:15, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
OK, i start the first article, la Occupation of Chiloe. :) Regards! --Katholico 20:48, September 27, 2011 (UTC)
Santiago, Chile, burning

What images thinks is better for the Battle of Santiago article? Regards! --Katholico 19:34, October 6, 2011 (UTC)

Finally i put the two images... I had forgotten that the template allow put more images xD jejeje Regards! --Katholico 03:40, October 8, 2011 (UTC)

Atlantic Islands Map Game

Hey, Mister Sheen, I noticed you were taking an interest in the Atlantic Islands timeline and I was wondering if you'd like to participate in the Atlantic Islands map game. You can sign up as a colonial power and colonize some of the islands. It'll be used for contributors to come up with the colonization efforts for the timeline. ChrisL123 19:45, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

Re: 1915 Map

If you don't mind me asking... why? --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 16:02, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

I'm gonna finally get around to start working on some of those Napoleon's World novels I've always wanted to do. I was wondering if you had any suggestions what time period/events would make for the most interesting setting?

I had a few ideas, but I wanted to hear from you first.

Mind if I help out with the War of K'atharan Succession? (Specifically, info about some of the natives)

Oh my gosh... I just saw your message from a few weeks ago

I apologize for not responding.. I really didnt see it unitl now...

Anyways I've only made a few changes to it and you are very welcome into the timeline :) Alexanders 19:32, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

I want to start working on the Huron page for Napoleon's World. As an Ontarian, any suggestions/ideas for how the history of this region would have gone post-War of 1812?

KingSweden 00:49, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Hmm well actually... is there anywhere in Minnesota you think a major battle in the Indian Wars or Alaskan War would have occurred, in particular during Zuhkov's invasion of the West?

Russian Antarctica Map (1917?)

Hey, Mister Sheen, I noticed you requested Nuke make a map for your Russian Civil War a while ago but it never was made. I had some free time on my hands today so I decided to make it for you. You don't have to use it if you don't want to, however. And if you need a map for the later dates of the war I could try to change any borders on it. Enjoy! ChrisL123 00:10, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, that's alright. Just two questions before I do anything.
  1. Do you want all the borders as large as Russian Antarctica?
  2. New Swabia was apart of the British Empire at the time from what I read somewhere, but is it apart of Eduarda or anything, or should I have their borders separate?
Just let me know and I should be done either tomorrow or Wednesday. ChrisL123 13:58, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Hey again. I tried to increase the width of non-Russian Antarctic nations but I'm afraid I can't do it without it looking unprofessional and messy. I can, however, draw up a map where the non-Russian territories have the thinner borders. Sorry about that. But of course if you do want the thicker borders you could always ask Nuke again. ChrisL123 00:08, August 24, 2011 (UTC)

Alright, I'm making progress, and I apologize for taking longer than expected. I think I'll be finished with the map by Sunday. And, if you still need them, I'd be happy to make the other two maps from the war. ChrisL123 21:57, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

File:So sorry.png

I am really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really x 102000 sorry for not getting back to you. Here is a blank map of 1915-ish Antarctica. New Swabia had more territory, New Devon and New Vestfold have not formed yet, and so on. I am also sorry for Chris, I hope I haven't ruined your optimism. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 01:16, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Whoops! I completely forgot. I made an updated version. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 04:26, August 28, 2011 (UTC)

Re:Too late?

To be honest, I, and I'm sure others, do think it would be intruding to participate in GWS as an outsider. It was built by a small crew of people and to be someone not apart of the team, in my eyes, would be intruding.

My biggest problem with the timeline is that in 2 years it's already been pretty much completed, except for the colonial history that's been changed (I'm actually doing the Dutch colonialism of Antarctica but it's on hold for now). IMO, the timeline is just too complete to adopt a nation or to add something new, you know, which is why I suggested the map game, to let the outsiders in on a little piece of it, just for fun.

But I'm glad to know my original assumption that outsiders are intruding was wrong, and that the timeline is more open than I originally assumed. Thanks. ChrisL123 03:26, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

Also, another one of these pesky sports picks I do from time to time for NW... Check out 2011 MLB Season (Napoleon's World) and let me know which two teams (one from AL, one from NL) you'd like to see face off in the World Series, and which one you think should win.

GWS corrections

If you don't mind me saying...

  • I believe I have already mentioned to you that Alexandria includes that entire archipelago, not just what makes up OTL Alexander I Island. When the region is occupied by the Americans, they call the protectorate "Palmeria." But the name would not be used by the Russians, and the name was quickly dropped after the establishment of a pro-Soviet socialist government. If you don't mind me saying, I already have a timeline for that part of Antarctica, and I would like to work on what happens there and what doesn't.
  • Again, I have my own history for the region, please don't add Denmark a colony.
  • Japan is nowhere near Antarctica (in comparison with the Mandate Japan gets in the Pacific after WWI). Please leave Japan out of Antarctica.
  • With a greater Russian presence in the region, Peter I Island would remain Russian. The Norwegians may have had some activity on the island, but it would remain Russian.

Excuse my tone, but this had to be said before it goes any further. I know that the Japan and Denmark idea are just thoughts, but I personally don't like them, so please don't take it the wrong way. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 04:38, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

Occupation of Chiloe

Hi MisterSheen, how are you? I think that i had finish the article of Occupation of Chiloé, but maybe he need spelling correction and something else. What is your opinion? Regards! --Katholico 04:18, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks :) Well for this battle, i was thinking that Chile used six from their ships, considering that took place in the end in the conflict:

  • O'Higgins (Cruiser)
  • Almirante Latorre (Cruiser)
  • Almirante Riveros (destroyer)
  • Almirante Williams (destroyer)
  • Luis Virgilio Uribe (destroyer escort)
  • 2 "torpedo boats": Guacolda and Fresia (maybe)

My idea for the chilean navy is that when the war began and during some time later probably, all the ships were attacked or sabotaged by the rebels; none was destroyed, but some them suffered much damage (the Capitán Prat, Flag ship of Navy, for example) and due to this only in the the last months of the conflict more chilean ships participate from the battles. What you think? I hope this help. Regards! --Katholico 16:28, January 23, 2012 (UTC)

Well, effectively, yes, after recovering from the sabotages the chilean ships are sent to fight.... and because that, i wrote that only after that defeat the Santiago government asked for peace. But the battle also includes airplanes, which caused more damage to the Chilean ships... in fact, i'm thinking to write that the Almirante Latorre was sunked during the battle by the santiagan planes. What thinks? Regards! --Katholico 17:53, January 23, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Sheen (mind if I call you Sheen?), I was thinking that we should kickstart the 4 Policemen TL. Although I play quite a few map games, I am always able to edit TLs.

I think you can now change the Soviet PoD as we have the points we need from LG on the TL's talkpage.
