Dixie Alliance Aid

Is it okay if the Dixie Alliance sends troops via either arial or naval transport to assist Chumash in its upcoming war with Santa Cruz? --Yankovic270 21:20, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

Sure that sounds cool. Riley.Konner 16:34, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
It also sounds impossible. Sorry to but in but there is no way the Dixie Alliance could afford to be involved with what is going on in Chumash. Yank this is just like the 2009 Saguenay War (1983: Doomsday). There was no way Virginia could be involved in that war and nothing has changed so that Virginia or the Dixie Alliance as a whole can be involved in this war. Mitro 15:47, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Coalition of washington

What TL does Coalition of washington belong to? Mitro 17:30, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Red victory, I've actually just made that TL open for adoption. Riley.Konner 13:31, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Hi can I repurpose the "Republic of California" idea for the Today in Alternate History Web www.todayinah.co.uk site please? Thanks for your consideration Sincerely Steve

I ask of your permission to have the keys to WSJ.

Dear Mr. Konner, I have come to notice one of your previous works, known as White Star Jupiter, and have taken a particular interest in it, making the articles ship-shape, and expanding the continuity of it. Seeing as how few others have made such contributions, and that I feel like the unofficial caretaker of it right now, with your permission I would like to adopt officially, so that I may truly make this Althistory great. If there are no objections, I will take my assume my duty on the seventy-second hour after my posting of this statement. Jazon Naparleon 22:33, July 15, 2010 (UTC)Jazon Naparleon; ninja, zombie-slayer, shepard of men, patriot.

Well Riley, the time has passed and still you are in isolation. I thank you for the Chairmanship of White Star Jupiter, and I will do my best to made it grand, just as you would have it. I await your eventual return, at which time you may see how I have glorified your creation, and now, I bid you adieu, and the best of luck wherever (whenever) you are.

Jazon Naparleon 22:37, July 18, 2010 (UTC)Jazon Naparleon; Patriot, adventurer, Chairman.

Ok. and YOU ALONE have rights this timeline if I find something I dont like I will edit it, after an edit is made you will need my permission to change that perticualr edit I have made. Also I left you a post on the talk page for the planets. Riley.Konner 09:02, July 19, 2010 (UTC)
I apologize for my latent activity: I was thinking that when you returned from your vacation, you would reasume command of this TL. I have just been so consumed with Choose Your Own Alternate History, that I suppose it blocked out any other responsibilities of mine. But mortal men have their follies, and you cannot change that. At any rate, she's back on her feet, right as rain, and I'm sure you'll make an excellent caretaker. Of course if the continuity becomes too large, or you go on another leave of absence, just tell me and I'll keep it ship-shape! Finally, I'll probably drop by every now and again to work on it, mainly the whole Inner planets vs. Outer Planets war thing.
My regards, Jazon Naparleon 06:09, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

alternate nations game

Is alright of I use one of the rejected flags for the Chumash Republics for my Antlers article? --GOPZACK 18:22, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

Which one did you have in mind. Riley.Konner 17:54 September 14 2010 (UTC)
Option 3 --GOPZACK 15:44, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
Alright then I guess you can since I have no use for it. 16:00 September 15 2010 (UTC)
Thank you very much. --GOPZACK 19:44, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, it's gone. Max117D 15:47, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

Also I didn't see that rule, thanks for pointing it out for me. Max117D 15:48, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

Wait, trucks are more likely than cargo planes? Between California and West Virginia? That is at least what I got from your last message. These are two post-apocalyptic countries each on the other side of the continent. You a treating them as if they are normal healthy democracies without any major problems.

First, there are no connecting the two together (plus they would have to carry these arms across different nations and its unlikely dozens of governments will just let arms be sent through their jurisdiction).

Second, cargo planes cost a lot, especially when full of cargo. We aren't talking about the nearly limitless resources of the US, but of two third world countries. Likely they would have to land somewhere else, which is not going to happen.

Finally ports are important to a healthy economy. Take a look at some of the poorest countries in the world. Most of the portless countries are in that list. There is a reason for that: the easiest way to trade in the international market is by sea. Planes, trucks and trains have limited use internationally, they are used more domestically.

Here is an idea: why not have Chumash get there guns from the powerful and wealthy nations of Oceania and South America. They are closer and can easily reach Chumash by sea. Mitro 22:27, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps. . .

Before I agree to anything, there are a few things I need to know;

  • How will ancient Egyptians get to the Americas? They aren't exactly in a position of a cargo ship being blown off course and discovering a new continent.
  • On a scale of one to ten, one being "Tupac doesn't get shot" and ten being "total nuclear war" how much will this TL differ from OTL?
  • What about White Star Jupiter? With the only two people who really care about working on something else, what will become of it? (I was going to get back to it eventually)

At the moment I have more than enough to do with CYOAH and Steampunk World, but if you really need me, it's not going to be ASB, and you will see it through to the end, then I could probably squeeze this into my schedule.

Jazon Naparleon 01:21, January 12, 2011 (UTC)

Finally getting back to you. . .

Though you may have thought my lack of a response to mean I was not interested, I will now formally say, no thanks, Riley, I have enough on my hands as it is. I meant to get back to you sooner, but once I finished my deliberation, I was taken (against my will) on vacation, and was unable to reach the computer. By the time I rembered I had to speak to you (I have evil, mad, absent-minded professor syndrome) It was time for finals, and I was banned from the computer. But I am back now, and I apologize again for the length of time it took for me to get back. But we can still be friends.

Happy new year,

Jazon Naparleon 01:15, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

I understand completely.

Question I have adopted the tl West Florida (Red Victory) and after reading the actual TL I'm wondering if it is even a part of your TL because its not on the map nor mentioned Bobalugee1940 19:55, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

Christopher Lee (Napoleon's World)

Tumblr lj0fw2Pdv41qemxfbo1 500.jpg

What if Lee's act is centred arround vampires. Like how Gene Simmons isn't seen on stage with out his makeup, Lee isn't seen onstage not dressed as a vampire. Wouldn't this Hammer Horror publicity image look great as an album cover? And wouldn't it be interesting if he invented something that could be called "gothic rock"? Not goth as in "angsty wimp with bad makeup" but as in the atmosphere of the Dracula films he starred in. It would feature pipe organ music mixed with dark, sinister guitar. What do you think about that idea?

Yank 03:12, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

Wait a minute Yank... that is one of the best ideas I have heard any come up with ever! Riley.Konner 22:44, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Imperialist America (Map Game)

Here is the treaty between Great Britain and America I need you to sign this one and the one on the talk page and the one on the actual game please

Treaty of Washington (Between the United States and Great Britain)

1. All of Canada will be ceded to the United States except for Baffin Island

2. Great Britain will recognize Quebecois Independence and its annexation of Labrador

3. All of the Oregon Country will be ceded to the United States except for Vancouver Island

4. 5 million dollars will be given to Great Britain as compensation

5. All British citizens will be given all rigts they enjoyed previously under British rule and all British subjects will become American citizens and if they are adult white males, will be allowed to vote. (That is not racism or sexism, that is what would happen in 1817)

6. Slavery will be left to the people of the newly acquired territories

7. Great Britain and the United States will not go to war with eachother for 5 years at the least. (This term is only introduced due to the fact that Prussia is beaving very agressivly torwards France)

United States

Great Britain

Hey Riley

Its Prussia here warning about a possible invasion of Russia in 1830 by Austria, China and the USA

Oil in Bakersfield

Well, Bakersfield was nuked, for starters. I'm aware that the fields would largely be ok, but that needs to be remembered. And, given where they are located, it would not be the Chumash.

That being said, the oil and gas in the field you're meaning is pretty heavy, for the most part. The recovery of that type involves a ton of energy, none of which would be functional.

Neither state has the ability to do anything about it.

Ventura would be the one to worry about, not Santa Cruz.

So, I must decline - it's just not possible.

Lordganon 05:50, July 29, 2011 (UTC)

I believe that I've written San Joaquin in the direction where that is the likely result. Though, any such alliance would be directed against Ventura. Santa Cruz can't really get at them at all, so.... Suppose that would still help, removing one of two threats to Chumash. A good concept.

But, fair warning: I don't know if you've seen the American Spring stuff or not - if not, you should - the King of San Joaquin will be doing some things soon that will be condemned in many corners. Shooting protestors, executing members of CRUSA, etc.

Lordganon 08:09, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

More of a southwest than west thing - then northwest is pro-usa, for sure. But good to hear, I suppose.

SJ will not be letting them protest. Soon as it starts, the army will intervene - it will make the Tiananmen Massacre look pleasant. The members in prison will then get publicly executed, and the leaders of the protest will be left out on a deserted island in the lake to die... next summer.

But yes, action against Ventura..... a formal alliance would be the first step. Aim for the fall for that, maybe anncounced in October on the King of San Joaquin's birthday? And then maybe military operations in the Spring or Summer of next year against Ventura?

Lordganon 23:19, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

You'll note that you never responded to me about dates, etc. I'll work on the whole matter tonight, then. Have to do background, etc. as well as the newsposts.

Those "hills" you refer to are actually called mountains, technically, and are on my topographic maps raised 1800-4500m above sea level. What they look like going through doesn't change that, lol.

Santa Cruz is not a threat to Visalia, at this time. Large Radiated Zones, the California Republic, and small Mountain roads make sure that they go south, not east. Not that they will not aid the Chumash after Ventura - they will - just that they are not a threat at this time.

As for military operations, Visalia would move down interstate 5, taking the passes by force, skirting the LA Wastes - I assume Ventura has some control of the passes, at least in the south - while the Chumash do the same on 1/101. Between them, Ventura gets crushed. The CR also defeats the Venturan Fleet - my research has shown that they would have a former USCG cutter or three in their possession. Visalia will also have a couple planes to assist. Found out there's a B17 on display in Tulare, and maybe a Grumman AF Guardian too. How's a little bombing sound? lol

As I said, Spring or Summer for the start of operations. I'll take care of that end of things.

By the way, have a look at your Mozambique article talk page.

Lordganon 18:30, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

It's up. Added the info to Chumash as well. Lordganon 23:27, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

Imperialist America

If your allying with China, the United States will never attack the British, If I break that promise, ban me from the game, but if china is your ally and since China is my ally, YOUR MY ALLY, I will remove troops from the British/ Argentine-American border, so you can send those troops to fight in Europe. I swear as long as your allied with China, I will not attack, besides, Im bust on several fronts and cannot afford another war with Britain, as one; I want friendly Anglo-American relations, tow; you would make one hell of an ally, and three; with you the UK at the side of the United States, you can invade Europe and open up a second front. If the war is lost, I will make sure you lose as little territory as possible. I will not attack, you have my word. DeanSims 14:11, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

Imperialist America (map Game)

I see Tibet is unclaimed. Over the next decade (game time) the UK, France and Nepal (my land) could enter and share it out. China could also have a bit some place on their border. Chumash-San Joaquin Alliance

Naw, no need to send Bradley's. Wouldn't be of enough use to justify the effort.

The Chumash Frigate would at worst have to fight a former coast guard vessel or two. The Constitution and Guerriere were at least both frigates, though one was indeed better armed and designed. There's no question atl about the victor of a battle with the frigate and the cutters.

No need to name it.

I'd prefer to see that WCRB post before you make it, but it sounds fine.

Thought you may also like to know, I found out that B Company (Maintenance) of the 340th Forward Support Battalion is located in Atascadero, which should fall under Chumash control. May be useful.

As for Mozambique, I just wanted to make sure you knew Caer was sniffing around.

Hello! Due to your 6 month+ absence, and as per the Editorial Guidelines of 1983: Doomsday, I am hereby filing a request to adopt your Santa Cruz  page. I am more than willing to allow you to keep them, should you chose to do so, but I assure you that they would be in good hands under me, considering my extensive edit count and experience with my own TLs and other community TLs (as well as some 83DD experience).
