Greetings. Recently, you have uploaded a file on this site that is a duplication of another. Please keep in mind that many of the files found across Wikimedia have also been uploaded to this site — all under the same names and types. These files can easily be found by searching for the file's name in the search bar. If you are using the "visual" mode for editing and uploading, please be advised that you will be required to use underscores (
_) instead of spaces when searching for a file (e.g., "Flag_of_Canada.svg" and not "Flag of Canada.svg"). In the event that the file you require is not already uploaded to this site, it would be very appreciated that you upload the standard file used on Wikimedia as a courtesy to current and future users.
The following uploads have have been removed from this site, and have been replaced with the following correct files:
Please try not to let this happen again. Do not re-upload this file or remove this message from your talk page. Be advised that while this message is simply a warning, continuing to upload duplications will result in the temporary suspension of your account. Thank you for your cooperation. -- NuclearVacuum 22:46, November 9, 2015 (UTC)
Categorizing and Uploading Files
You just uploaded a flag of Crete and did two mistakes in the process.
The first is that you added your timeline's category to it. This is not allowed as this flag is from OTL and (therefore) belongs to everybody. The only times you add your timeline's category in any files is if said file has been created/altered in such a manner that makes it unique for a specific timeline.
The second thing is that you uploaded the incorrect flag (despite linking to the correct one). When uploading flags from Wikimedia in the future, please upload the exact file and not a cropped or otherwise altered version. In this case, you uploaded a cropped version (smaller than the original) and under a different file type (PNG instead of SVG).
PM4 as India
What source do you have that the Bahamanids have 20 million people? They seem to rule in the part of India with the lowest population density.
According to Wikipedia, India's population was a steady 100 million before 1600, and I extrapolated from that number. It may well be less than what I said. I'll use a smaller number in the next war algo. The Guardian of Forever (talk) 00:42, August 2, 2016 (UTC)
Can I play Jaffna
Can I play as a lesser prince in Sri Lanka as Jaffna or is it all directly under your control?
Err, yes and no. Is Sri Lanka part of the Bahmanid Sultanate? Yes. Is the Bahmanid Sultanate somewhat decentralized? Yes. At best, however, you might have a position similar to a governor. There are far better nations out there, even in the Subcontinent. I wouldn't recommend it, and I'm not sure if the mods would even approve. So, most likely, no. Sorry for the rambling. The Guardian of Forever (talk) 14:50, August 3, 2016 (UTC)
Staging the Revolt [PMIV]
Hello, great Bahmanid sultan. I believe that a victory could happen if, although I probably only have a few dozen thousand people in my state (and like a couple thousand troops at the current year), I could say I have about 25 warships as well. If a revolt could trigger on the Malay peninsula, perhaps whatever "nationalism" exists in this year would increase in the vassals. If one or two vassals revolt, the Majapahit would have to divide their troops. I could attempt to get Ming China on our side, as they seem quite powerful; of course, though, they certainly are not Muslim. I'll start spreading independence propaganda and persist in the claims it is a jihad, which should gain me some support. I would say we should look into Majapahit vassals and foreign nations tht have a grudge on the Majapahit. The more revolts breaking out, the better; the government on Java would be overwhelmed. All in all, I'd say a rebellion would be ready before 1830; apologies to make this the waiting game, but I would be greatful for your support.
Seems fair enough. Also, do you have contact with the Ottomans or Persians? There could be a small chance they would support our jihad, but I would be too far away to contact them in this time period.
Yeah, I meant before 1430 (I probably typed 1830 out of habit from Emancipation); also, we could get more non-Muslim states on our side by offering territory on the Malay peninsula; I could see some kind of secret "Partition of Malaya" meeting.
Who else do you think would be intrested in the Malay Peninsula? No one else is close. The Guardian of Forever (talk) 21:42, August 6, 2016 (UTC)
I think you could put your support under a secret diplomcy message. I would say that in 1421, secret meetings on the Partition of Malaya can begin. Also, since the Majapahit have been alerted of the plot, waiting until around 1425 would be ideal, so that the controversy blows over and our forces will be ready. We shall request the help of our Muslim allies and the anti-Maja nations. It would be a great victory to get the Ming on our side, so this is imperative to the plot.
Do you ever use the Althistory Chat? I need to speak with you.
I haven't before, but I'll talk. (not today though, tomorrow would be nice. The Guardian of Forever (talk) 23:10, August 20, 2016 (UTC)
Conquest of Sindh is implausible. Delhi wouldn't allow it. The only reason you got away with it is because I didn't notice it.

I don't understand how my corrections change your formatting.
So how can I fix it?
What to do with Tibet
Hello, Guardian. Today I'd like to discuss my newfound enemy that lies just across the Himalayas: the Buddhist nation of Tibet. Our overlapping claims and clashes over vassals have led to rising tensions, and they refuse to comply with my warning to stop hindering Indian expansion north. In addition to their horrid treatment of Muslims in West Nepal, being a Buddhist nation means they are prone to being influenced by the Gunterists.
As it appears, my war exhaustion lies at -9. My maximum army size is 800,000, and I would expect Bahmani to be around the same (not so sure about Bengal); Tibet's maximum army size is probably a few hundred or a few thousand. LM has taken my side against Tibet. If Bahmani also intervenes, Tibet would undoubtedly be crushed. What does your war exhaustion lie at? Of course, we need to leave some of our army to defend India itself from the Majapahit; we don't want them taking advantage of our incursion. If Ace sees this conversation, it's quite likely Majapahit is giong to end up supporting Tibet, so we should keep building up our navy and army, spreading the Eastern Myth, and defend Burma, Bengal, and Lanka.
I think that maybe our war exhaustion should rest at 0 before attacking, but if Tibet vassalizes any more states, I want to strike. Any thoughts?
I was thinking: should I elevate Hindus to an equal status as Muslims? It would help pacify any resenting Hindus, but Muslims might start questioning whether the Sultanate is "really committed to Islam" or not. (Also, I suggested my Gunterist policy on my talk page)
On the former, I highly doubt it. I've never heard of anything along those lines happening in the pre-modern era and considering that I've had the 'separate court system' thing for decades w/o any problem, you should be fine. I responded on Gunturists on your talk. The Guardian of Forever (talk) 03:04, September 17, 2016 (UTC)
Oi, Ace is starting to kill Muslims and gave the right to sink Indian ships. I personally see this as an act of war. I switched to army, since I don't have mod approval and in my eyes wouldn't be considered as "canon," so we're good on that. I am seriously craving to attack the evil Majapahit and their oppressive policies. Ace is trying to play his cards wisely; he knows that a pan-Indian (Bahmanid, Delhian, Bengali) attack would crush him and his ideological ambitions. But killing Muslims and sinking Indian civilian ships was a rash move. Then again, perhaps he is trying to aggravate us and then push us back. But I think it is time to end the tyranny of Ace and his Gunterism once and for all.
I agree on the act of war. The only reason I'm waiting is to try and get the Maldives on our side. The only thing is: I don't believe we're capable of dismantling Majapahit. Our navies are far stronger than before, but I believe Ace's home fleet's now somewhere in the vicinity of 500 ships, and the only Majapahit territory we can attack is Malaya. Also, I want him to declare war first, so we can see his troop movements and match them. I think I'll send an ultimatum. The Guardian of Forever (talk) 17:53, September 18, 2016 (UTC)
@LM Looking at the algo, we've taken Malaya. We need to up our military production and send troops into Sumatra.
@Guardian I've made a partition map on my talk page, along with my claims to the former Maja Empire. We still have some territory east of Celebes we don't know what to do with yet.
Looks like Ace is moving into Sri Lanka. Build as many ships and army as you can, build cannons, and crush the invaders.
@Guardian, the terms of the compromise seem fine to me.
Great Eastern War
The war is not over. Don't claim it to be as such. Anything else related to this and you get a strike. You want to discuss it, come on chat.
The hell, I'm just using the things that I can find- or is it the map, because that needs to be updated, its just there for now--Orwell
Seriously? Your upset at that, I havent, updated that in months, plus, dont a lot of articles use the same images, so get over it when if you see the same image of diving stukas saying "German stukas dive on Soviet forces" or "confederate dive bomver strafe US troops"- Orwell
On the new 1480 map, it shows Ava and Arakan as parts of Burma. Is this correct? Didn't the Pegu accors list Ava as a Bengali vassal and Arakan an autonomous province, not parts of Burma? Just checking to make sure the map is right, thanks.
Sri Lanka and Swahili
I'm going away
I'm tired of correcting errors.
PMIV - Burma
The mods are clearly trying to kick us out of Burma. While we had limited success in Ava, Pegu all of a sudden wanting independence shows that this is happening. I would say double-down on your hold on Sri Lanka and the Maldives; their revolts would be more easily crushed since they are too close to India. If any revolts occur on the Indian subcontinent, I'll be sure to send some help your way.
Sound like a plan. Then I can finally get the Gunterists out of Ladakh. Would annexing the Andaman and Nicobar Islands count as taking Maja territory?
Working with Europeans would be smart, but they also worry me. Who's to say the English won't work with the Maja to colonize India? That the Burgundians won't colonize Indonesia for themselves? And I find Christianity especially worrisome, especially when it comes to ultra-Christian nations like Iberia and Bulgaria.
In one of the first map games I played, which started in the late 1800s, I was playing as an independent Hawaii. After conqueriing Tahiti as a first step in unifying Polynesia, I soon found myself having to play my cards carefully to not get overrun by a Franco-Dutch alliance. That is a scenario I don't want to be in again.
Europeans colonized India and Indonesia for one primary reason: the spice trade. It seems logical to leave Indonesia open to take the Europeans' minds off of India. Then again, this would allow the colonial powers to gain a foothold in southern Asia. Perhaps after weaking the Maja after a long series of wars, they finally capitulate, and we establish a Muslim "Sultanate of Java" (Java, and the chain of islands from Bali to Timor) and release Brunei (Borneo, and maybe Celebes). Of course, this plan could extend into the 1600s, when it is already too late.
So here is what I think is the best course of action: fight fire with fire. If we annex the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and colonize them, the Europeans can't get to them. Settling the Chagos sets a similar premise. The Europeans wouldn't be able to set up a base anywhere closer to India than the Seychelles and Australia. This could delay them significantly.
The delay in western exploration can present new opportunities in technology so that we could quite possibly reach a level even with Europe. It may seem far-fetched, but if we focus on education (i.e. the University of Agra) and science, we could do it.
Here is my theory on why the mods are throwing revolt after revolt at us. 1: to balance out power in the subcontinent. 2: To open up opportunities for Europeans to colonize India. 3: To reach a situation more similar to OTL, with more independent nations.
I'm going to keep an eye out for any more revolts, because I fear that Nepal and Bhutan might be next.
Re:India and Burgundy in PMIV
I have no intentions on trying something like what the British accomplished OTL. The most I'm hoping for is permission to establish trading forts. I look forward to further cooperation.

Orissa Road - PMIVHello, Guardian. I saw your proposal for a road through Orissa to connect our Sultanates, so I immediately sketched up a map. It will connect administratively and strategically important cities in the Orissa area. So here is my proposal.
- The "Orissa Road" begins in Rajahmundry, the administrative center of Andhra.
- It then moves north into Puri, probably Delhi's most important city outside of the core Delhavi areas (Delhi City, Agra, Jaipur); also Delhi's base of all maritime operations from navies to trade to exploration.
- Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are hardly out of the way, and are two other major cities in Orissa; the road goes directly north from Puri to here.
- Perhaps the longest stretch of road goes to Saptagram, one of Bengal's most important ports and strategically located upstream from the Bay, making it harder for colonial powers or the Maja to attack. The road terminates here.
Any other cities the Orissa Road should hit? How does my design look? How should each country divvy up the work? Thanks.
Yes, you can switch to naval. Not sure what you're requesting for that second one.
02:07, November 6, 2016 (UTC)
You have to speak to Feud about that.
02:11, November 6, 2016 (UTC)
Grrr, here are da mods with their next "big plan to dismantle India." Get ready to defend against the Khans of central Asia, they appear to have rather successful ambitions in India.
Re:Northern Epirus Flag
Um... what are you talking about?
I don't believe I've deleted your Greek flag (it's still here), nor do I intend to do so anytime soon. I'm well aware of the difference between your flag and OTL's flag.
Are you referring to my recent upload of OTL's flag? I only did this as a courtesy for those who may wish to use it in the future.
- Like I mentioned, I haven't changed anything of yours (in relations to this flag). I have no idea how OTL's flag got placed there (really weird).
I'm aware of the status of the Nicobars as a neutral zone. However, I was thinking about Burgundy becoming some sort of neutral administer, in which Burgundy would own the islands, the safety of Indian and Majapahit merchant vessels would be my responsibility, and the presence of warships in the neutral zone would be met with prejudice. What I'm interested in is spices, you have spices, and Majapahit has spices and war is bad for the spice trade. Let me know what you think.
Ok, I have decided. I will go with Astrakhan. Thank you very much for your informations and support!
Can I add myself to sign up in PMIV now?
I think we should just take down whoever dares step into Indian territory. Though I think we should contest the mods on them raiding northern Delhi; unless they've got some flippin' pegasi in their army to destroy India on the command of the mods above who think we're too OP, they can't cross the Himalayas. Perhaps if Tseteng decides to come on the battlefield we can try to kill him there.
Gah, Rimp's gonna turn on us now, and now he might give the Khans Gurkani tech to save the Astrakhans. Looks like this is the mods' final bid to take down India. -_-
Would you and your allies be willing to split the Andamans and Nicobars, with the Andaman Islands going to Bengal, with myself getting the Nicobars? I am that guy (talk) 21:12, November 15, 2016 (UTC)
Truthfully, I'd really like at least the Nicobars, simply as a way to facilitate trade coming from Burgundy and making distributing it easier. It'd also let me have a midpoint of my own control for extending into Indonesia. I am that guy (talk) 00:33, November 17, 2016 (UTC)
I'm Losing my Patience
I'm losing my patience with the mods and this game. The whole stupid Khans thing makes no sense. Just know that this isn't directed at you, I just need to get this off of my chest.
I have a message for the mods. This game is about ALTERNATE HISTORY, not balancing out power in a subcontinent so that the game "seems more fair." You know what happens to "OP empires?" They survive. They dominate. That is how history works. Magic Khans are not created by butterflies that will magically make ridiculous alliances to make successful countries collapse.
I guess this would be the equivalent of a "ragequit."
Quite frankly, I tried my best to sort this out but Orange wouldntget on chat to speak with me and now you have the Horde at your gates.
@Guardian Thank you for getting me to check the game, you made my day. ^_^
@Rimp Sorry I couldn't get on chat, I didn't have any time after sending you that message.
If you or Orange could possibly meet me on chat, I would appreciate it.
Honestly, the way I see it, PM4 is failing because players are leaving due to personal reasons or alternatively, their issues with Mod Events. For example, the Map Game does not have any active players for the following nations
To put that into regional perspective, here is how it goes
- North & South America: 1 Player
- The player is for the Mayapan League
- Africa: 2 Players
- These being Buha and Swahili, and I mean no offense but they are quite frankly irrelevant.
- Middle East: 3 Players
- These being me and the Ottomans, with the latter (Ottomans) in an eternal status quo position because he cannot expand anywhere. Same is the case with Oman which in truth has no actual potential
- South Asia: 3 Players
- You, Orange and Marlborough and what Tsetseg has been doing is quite obvious
- East Asia (Remaining Asia): 1 Player
- In all of remaining Asia, there is only a single player, that being Korea
- Western & Northern Europe: 1 Player
- In literally all of Western & Northern Europe, there is only a single active player, that being Person for England
- HRE & Italy: 7 Players
- As shown, this area has the largest concentration of players and this has practically desrroyed the regional distribution. Why? Because people have chosen to pick small, irrelevant nations over those that matter
- Eastern Europe & Balkans: 1 Player
- Once more, in a region as vast as Eastern Europe and the Balkans, there us only a single player
- Australia: 1 Player
- That being Nathan
In total, the Map Game has currently 20 active players. although on average, only 14-15 players post. As I just mentioned, the players are distributed in the worst way possible as it essentially destroys the Game. I mean , the following nations from the 20 player list are practically useless.. and no offense to them
So yeah, I'll be quitting PM4 because to be perfectly honest with you, I can't really bare with all the issues that relate to player distribution or how Hordes suddenly pop up and invade nations. Just a heads up to you Indian players so you know in advance that I won't be posting and can no longer help out with the Tsetseg issue.im not bibleboyd sock im his room mate ISAM97 (talk) 18:20, December 6, 2016 (UTC)
