World War II Ideas
To me, it goes a touch far - while given those things happening, Poland would survive much longer, this seems to take the concept even further than I suspect is plausible. Things such as no German Civil War after the assassination, and the like - all just too good to be true. Good read, though. Lordganon 05:50, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
Perhaps the biggest thing is with the Soviets. This pretty well assumes that the entire country was full of idiots, which obviously is not the case. The author also seems to consider the West to be rather.... slow, too. Reads kind of like a Poland "wank" to me, to be honest.
Overall, it really is operating on a ton of assumptions. The PoD - one or two of them, all of them together seems unrealistic - alone would be a good thing to take, and then to run from there.
Lordganon 08:32, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
I meant "slow" as in stupid, or the like.
No, I'm not mistaken. I am well aware of all of those things.
"Inexperienced." The very concept means that after a fair amount of fighting, they would gain experience. Yet, that author ignores that notion entirely. And, as I said, assumes the entire army was full of idiots. The purges did not get all the bright ones - and they would have taken some sort of command eventually. But there's no indication of that ever occurring.
The author has the West still standing by, even with Poland holding out. I am well aware that they did nothing otl, but here they have 6-12 months, minimum, of extra time. They would have had even their own citizens telling them to do something by that point.
I'm well aware of the Japanese thing. That's why I didn't say one outright. Though, it won't make much difference at all.
I'm also aware of the anti-tank rocket part being based in all of that. However, it only works in the atl because the Poles manage to keep it hidden from everyone. On the scale, both as described and in the amount needed to actually make an impact, that is impossible. I realize that it may be possible that the things are discounted, but it also assumes that the German military - and, indeed, most militaries - is full of idiots.

Yeah, I think I can help a bit, Yank. You know I'm always willing to help. Lordganon 17:45, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
And, how do you want the Franks to lose the battle? Not actually going to the picked battlefield at the time chosen, be it earlier or later, fighting it somewhere else, or Clovis not being able to convince one of the sub-kings to come to battle? (Ragnachar is the one I'd use, because I can place him at the battle for sure) Lordganon 01:26, August 12, 2011 (UTC)
Wasn't thinking of killing him anyways - all that would manage is to make the Franks unify much, much, later. The defeat would make it so that he's too weak to go west, so he has to go east after the sub-kings and other tribes instead.
Will simply have them show up a few days late, then. Early is helpful, but... not too much. Later, and catch them as they are leaving..... a rout. May actually help the Franks in the long run, since at least a few sub-kings would die, but weaken them overall, no question. Going to have Ragnachar die too, unless you object ^^
Lordganon 01:56, August 12, 2011 (UTC)
One of the sub-kings killed by Clovis a few years after the battle here. Fought at the battle, and lived, he later turned traitor on Clovis, and was a pagan among Christians. There's an article on wikipedia about him. Didn't do much of anything historically, either, except die. Lordganon 03:50, August 12, 2011 (UTC)
Hey, Yank, being a collaborative member with Tbguy1992, I was wondering if I may adopt your timeline, Riel's Canada? Just let me know on my talk page whenever you read this, and if there's any discrepancies between the two of you we can discuss it on the talk page. ChrisL123 19:45, August 15, 2011 (UTC)
Hi, Yank. Just a short note about an idea I had. I know that you don't like the idea of the new United States rising to power, but maybe your politicians in Virginia (and maybe even in Lincoln) might add a twist into the whole American Spring debate by filing charges against George Bush and the defunct APA. In turn, the CRUSA (lead by JFK, Jr.) could file counter charges against Campbell. Both charges could be based on 'war-crimes' and treasonous actions in the wake of the nuclear attacks.
It's just an idea, and it would spice up the theme of the rising influence of the new USA. I'd have the government stay out of the Virginian claims, but perhaps file claims against the Lincoln government (not sure there, but the 'take over' by the mayor of the city leaves some room for debate). Let me know what you think. I'll write the JFK part and you can have fun with the other. SouthWriter 17:11, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
I really like the Eastwood idea. He could have been Van Helsing in several films (sort of like Dirty Harry) and directed horror films later, and won an Oscar for it (instead of winning an Oscar for Unforgiven, specifically).
As for Chaney... isn't it easier for him to just never have gotten lung cancer in the first place...?
KingSweden 23:54, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
I made a page on your ODESSA-like idea (called ORPLEX for "Organisation pour les Loyalists Exiles") and I'll get to work on the Van Helsing stuff pronto.
KingSweden 00:33, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
Haha! Nice. That's probably a good idea, make the Van Helsing movies a spinoff series. A note on those regulations - I think I was aiming for them to only be regulations in California, since the Governor of California (Redford) was able to deregulate in 1972.
What you could also do is have that original (probably '67 or '68) Dracula movie be produced in Mexico, like you were talking about, sort of like a Spaghetti western...? Then have an American studio hop on the gravy train in '72 by making a spinoff series of Van Helsing with American actors but the recognizable Eastwood as the lead. The 1968 (or whenever) Mexican Dracula could have been a smash success in America that launched his career?
KingSweden 01:20, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah that sounds pretty good. Umm well I don't know who from the late 1960's would make a good Dracula. Christopher Lee probably wouldn't want to "commercialize" with a role like that.
KingSweden 02:23, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not super partial, whoever you think is best. I'll defer my judgment to you.

World War II Timeline Ideas
Given the situation in both Japan and the USA, an alliance being formed at opening is pretty-well impossible. Even ignoring that, the butterflies would be..... massive.
However, you could manage the alliance another way. The Japanese High Command was faced with a choice in 1941: attacking north, or south. What they chose is pretty obvious. But, if you can get the Soviets into the Axis camp 100% somehow, American pressures may change and then direct their intentions somewhat differently than in otl. There's a couple times, with delayed/canceled operations when that could have happened otl.
With that context, Japan aligning with the Brits and Americans in some form would make sense. Of course, American involvement would likely be slightly delayed, but..... probably not by much, to be honest.
Vichy France Survives:
Pretty much impossible. They were too aligned with the Nazis. Spain was neutral, though barely, so they survived - Vichy, was not. From day one, I'm afraid, despite how the Americans though of them.
Ignoring that, the Nazis would have seized them anyways. Even if not when they did otl, at the very least at D-day they would have. Past that, the locals would have killed it on their own. Nor would the Allies have let it survive - the French were part of that, after all.
Lordganon 19:47, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
Well, I wouldn't overstate the Japanese, there. The Soviet forces there were, and without a war in the west, would likely remain, their best. Numbers, supplies, etc. means that Japanese troops will win eventually, but.... may be a touch surprising.
Vlad~ would eventually be overrun, true, but it'd take a siege. You're right about the islands, mind.
Manchuria surviving is unlikely, unless the Japanese prop it up, and even then..... Had no real popular support, I'm afraid. Reunion with China probably would remain unlikely, but.... idk. Rock and hard place, really. As for the rest, the RoC probably wouldn't do it. Plus, Japan would have to at least make efforts to remove themselves from China, too. Question of troops, and supplies, and American backing.
Definite that they would get stamped out. But definitely not fleeing to Taiwan. Question of where they are based, etc. Got me as to where they could flee, but their bases with near Mongolia. Given the war and that fact, I doubt that anyone would flee ala Taiwan otl.

Hey, Yank. Seeing how plausibly you play on Principia Moderni, I was wondering if you wanted to moderate a game I made set in 200 AD (We need a classical map game). It is called Cras ut Superstes. It's got a new system of stability that I was hoping to try out. I can't wait to see it played.

War of the Hanthawaddy Succession
Okay I am not fully sure who is going to win the war, but who ever does will have the throne of Hanthawaddy. I'm not making any promises, and I will go solely by the algorithm. So sometime next year (1650), preferably during the summer, because the emperor will be in Pegu rather than hard-to-attack Viharapura, with Jayadeva's forces. Binnya Rada will retaliate with his massive mercenary-army. Although I suggest you go through the algorithm and make sure you have every possible advantage, as I think Hanthawaddy has a slight advantage, taking a guess. Also, I dunno what to do if you win hugely, because you can't really take Pegu, and if you do Hanthawaddy will be a weird pseudo-Indian state. Personally I'm ready to reject the Warerus to Tibet but I want the war to be a good one. Detectivekenny (Info; Talk) 01:27, September 7, 2011 (UTC)
We'll see. It doesn't really matter to me. Whatever the algorithm says. I'm wanting to shed off excess territory anyway as a model for other players, and if it means losing Pegu, it's no problem. I can always gain it back if I wanted to. Detectivekenny (Info; Talk) 04:49, September 7, 2011 (UTC)
Her survival is unlikely - I think that there is one, and only one person, who was alive in 1917 that was a member of the Russian royals or nobility still lving as of the early 1990s. Her living until 1991, let alone the present, is pretty well impossible. Add to that the fact that its nearly impossible for her or another member of the royal family to get away.
She would have been a carrier of hemophilia - most of the female descendants of Queen Victoria have been. It is dormant in females, but it's almost impossible for it not to be there overall.
A line going through a cousin, or one of the Czar's siblings would be more likely. If they are resident in Alaska, and hold power there, they can easily gain it back - well, one of their children, but I digress - and given things would be much more likely to flee with the colony existing too.
Lordganon 05:31, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
Err.... I guess you haven't really looked at much about the region, have you?
Transylvania, in fact, controls far more territory than it occupies. I realize now that the article itself is not very clear on that matter - I hope that the small edit I did just now helps in that regard - and expanding the article and giving it a real history is something on my list of things to do. It is something greatly elaborated on elsewhere, I assure you.
Transylvania, in fact, is in control over all of Moldavia, Romania, and parts of the former Ukraine. Basically, all the claimed areas on the map outside of the Serbian claims. Various degrees of contamination to the soils to the east - the same storms that contaminated much of the Crimea and parts of the Northern Caucasus are the cause - prevent extensive settlement or the like, and the area is dotted with military posts. A WWF project in the area, to investigate further, is going to start on October 7th.
As such, your proposal is..... impossible. Note, too, that most of this is not my work.
Lordganon 04:35, September 13, 2011 (UTC)
I repeat: This is laid out in other articles. And, too, the word "claims" does not mean that they have no power there. The article has long said, as well, that they had forces in the area. Nor does it say "uncontrolled" anywhere. The otl part is a miss on my part when I last updated the infobox to match what the article already said.
If you had read any other articles in the area, you'd have known about it, Yank. There is, if memory serves, around a dozen that say this. Note, again, that the majority of this is not my work, originally.
That proposal is impossible. Simple.

I don't think we can actually meet for the rest of the school year due to my schedule, as I'm not going to skip class to go. Sorry. Tbguy1992 22:05, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
Help with FTBW?
Out of curiosity, I was wondering if you would be able to help me flesh out French Trafalgar, British Waterloo a bit. Now that I do have time (though not able to meet you, unfortunately), I should be able to throw together a lot more of the story and such. If you can, please message me back!

Principia Moderni (Possible Vietmanese Expansion Offer)
Dear Vietanm. We have been watching the rapid Russian expansion and are incredibily concerned. We send an offer to join arms in the period between 1673 to 1682 where we will reveal ourselves. We are a current ally of yours as well. Vietnam has the chance to gain huge advantages in land. We are also approaching the nations of China (who may require aid if Hanthawaddy gets involved) and Joseon who will seize quite a piece of land from Russia too. You may gain a sizeable chunk of Russia too as a colony. In Europe we have approached Naples, Sweden and Venice to help if Hungary, France or Anglo-Germany appear in this conflict. Respond on your own talk page if you are interested. I will check it every day.
Moravia (1983: Doomsday)
Not a bad idea, overall.
But, you do have a problem: That's either got to move northwards, or shrink. Bohemia needs to shrink back down too.
The Alpines have since the 1980s controlled a security zone virtually around their entire borders, of at least 50 km. Czechoslovakia is included. There's no way a nation right against their borders is possible.
And, I'm sure that there's more than three strikes.
Lordganon 03:46, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
Well, looking at the map, it's going to have to shrink a bit, I think, as it moves. Not 100% sure, but I figure it will be likely.
About 2/3rds of the territory for Bohemia will likely work out.
I'll see what I can cook up for you. Should have something later this afternoon.
First contact for Moravia, btw, would likely come through Poland.
Lordganon 13:37, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
No, you won't be. That article is Oer's. Not only that, but you are heavily violating the adoption policy by doing that. Lordganon 14:33, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
Doesn't matter whether or not you think you need to finish it, or when it was updated last. The fact still remains. Unless you get permission, you will do nothing to it. Lordganon 14:56, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
As promised, here's a map. Blue is Bohemia - about double the original map size, and 2/3rds of yours or so - and Green is Moravia. I've also added more strikes. Was a really large number of them in the north o.o
A Silesian state is probably out, I'm afraid.
Looking at things, the original Bohemia size would actually work the best, but I did do it bigger as requested.
Added strikes: Milovice, Mlada Boleslav, Vysoke Myto, Bruntal, Ostrava, Liberec, Pisek, Pribram, Hradec Kralove, and some damage from a hit on Trencin in Slovakia, a couple clicks from the border. A couple of these are major cities, but the rest are all large bases.
Blansko is still inside the Moravian state. However, the city of Olomouc is too, and would be a better capital (funny - not a hit in 1983, but a massive target today, that one) It is also a historical capital of the Province of Moravia, and the location of the Catholic diocese - and late, archdiocese - for Moravia since the 11th Century. The rest of the cities you have listed on Moravia are not in this one.
Lordganon 08:36, October 8, 2011 (UTC)
Rest assured, I've already taken care of that. There are that many bases from that era in the Czech Republic. Basically, almost their entire military was in this area, and the same goes for an entire Soviet Army. Lordganon 02:25, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, their army for the most part would have been based on remnants. But, the Slovaks would stay - think about it: they have nowhere to go for about a decade. By that point, they are established with families. Why would they leave? Some might, but almost all of them wouldn't.
There's really no way to tell overall with their lists. By the time they get revealed, we'll all be dead or too old to notice. As always, we have to make our own guesses. Really though, given the size of the lists, all would have been on them at some point. It's just a question of how far down, you know? Add to that the nukes on the opponent's nuclear bases, EMP, military forces, and targeting/arming issues, there's no telling how many of them got off and made it to hit. For all we know, the first five hundred targets could have been hit, and then another group a couple hundred down the list of that side going too. Never know.
Lordganon 03:52, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
I'll look into it tonight. Lordganon 04:22, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
All right, here goes....
"The military of the Moravian Republic primarily consists of the remnants of Czechoslovakian and Soviet forces in the former Czech half of the Czechoslovakian state, in addition to those recruited into its ranks since that time. In part, these remnants are from the Soviet 48th Motor Rifle Division headquartered at Vysoké Mýto, and Soviet 31st Tank Division headquartered at Bruntál, both of which were hit by nuclear weapons. The majority, however, come from the Czechoslovak 22nd Airborne Infantry Regiment based at Prostějov, which was lucky enough to escape nuclear destruction, though many still died from the chaos and the fallout.
Primarily, they are an infantry force, armed with surviving weaponry from the 22nd Regiment, and other weapons manufactured or imported since. A few surviving tanks and personnel carriers from the Soviet Divisions are in use as well. No intact planes, however, are in their possession, all having been heavily damaged at Doomsday.
They are currently looking at repairing the planes to some degree, and upgrade their equipment somewhat, if they can afford it."
How's that sound?
Lordganon 07:24, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
Re: Star Trek
I like your ideas for Christopher Pike and Chekov, and somewhat with Kirk, but I'd suggest a slightly different twist - make Kirk a protege of Pike's on the Enterprise who is brash and arrogant and who eventually goes rogue against his mentor and father-figure, setting him up as a spiteful, dangerous opponent throughout the series (and in the sequel to the 2009 film, in which Trekkies would excitedly see how they weave in Kirk "turning" against Pike, and could have been a movie focusing more on the nuances of Kirk, who could be a complex character). I have Shatner as James Bond during the 1960's, so a diff actor would probably be preferred.

Your allies ask for Aid!
Sweden has invaded your ally Anglo-Germany, and another ally of yours, Russia, has leaped in to defend them. Meanwhile, the ally of Vietnam Naples has decided to help fight off this hostile expansion in Europe. Venice once again interferes in affairs that it should not, as it declares war upon the powers seeking to liberate the Baltic from the oppressive Swedes. Will Vietnam (and its vassal Nippon) come to the aid of its allies, Russia and Naples? Naples begs for aid! LurkerLordB 22:49, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
I took a look at Chris Lee's Wikipedia entry, and it looks like the first Dracula movie came out in 1958, at which time John Carradine (1906-1988) would have been in his early fifties. Since the last one didn't come out until the early 1970's (at which time there would have been considerable advances in prosthetics and makeup), I think that the problem essentially solves itself.

…That's not gonna work, it would just make it worse. I purposely set up the rebellion so you would have to put it down the normal way, with fighting, or just let the Malays rule themselves. This isn't about tolerance or anything really, it just is inevitable when you have a deep dividing cultural line, and Vietnamese people ruling over Muslims, that they would rebel. In general there is a trend in "marginal areas" that they usually switch hands very often, so thus you controlling Malaysia for an excessively long time would be implausible.
Keep in mind another important part of running your country is maintaining unity. You really have not spend much time on this, and your country has no unifying characteristics, except an emperor who just happens to be of Vietnamese descent. Something to think about.

He joined PM because he kept seeing me staring at the PM map, planning a strategy (map games do that to you). He was really excited, but he just didn't understand how complicated it was. Re: Star Trek
I created a page roughly adhering to your suggestions. Who would you propose to play Pike in the 2009 reboot? (I have Tom Brady as Kirk and Adrien Brody as Spock). I was thinking at the end of the reboot, Kirk stages a mutiny and maroons Pike, Chekov and Spock on a planet somewhere, and Pike screams "Kirk!" as the Endeavour flies away to set up a cliffhanger for the sequel.
KingSweden 23:20, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
I like that. I also like Chris Pine, so I approve on both counts.
KingSweden 01:06, December 14, 2011 (UTC)
I also made the Picard analogue in Next Generation much younger, as that was how the role had initially been intended in OTL until Patrick Stewart impressed them. And he's not French in this version, for obvious reasons.

Hey! If you haven't noticed, I've sent a trade agreement offer to you in Principia Moderni quite a few turns ago.
Re: Lincoln and Doctor Who
I like the idea for Doctor Who, but that would probably happen towards the end of the Anarchy (late 1954 and 1955) once most of England is secured by the Americans and the ERA.
As for the Lincolns, wasn't the death of his younger brothers the impetus for Edward Lincoln to become interested in medicine? I'd say pick which of the two younger Lincoln sons you would prefer to have survive and then kill off the other so that Eddie Lincoln remains inspired to become a doctor. The Grigsby idea is good.
KingSweden 00:17, December 18, 2011 (UTC)
So if its 1964, then it would serve as a good distraction from the English Reconstruction (which also sucked)
KingSweden 02:30, December 18, 2011 (UTC)
Hi, Yank. Thanks, I will try to use real people - maybe even kinfolk - to fill in the history of the area. There may be some refugees from Tallahassee and the Panama City Area, but overall it will be folks from the towns around the edge of the forest (minus the corner of it that was damaged by the blast over the capitol (silly to bomb such a small city, but hey, that's what has been written). I put in a map, and I'll work on a synopsis later. Thanks again for putting it out there, I know its been mentioned in discussion before.
I think, though, I will change it from "president" to "governor" since it is hardly plausible that the community there would think of themselves as independent of the rest of Florida or even America. This also follows from the official name of the nation-state -- the State of Apalachicola. I will officially adopt in on the main talk page. SouthWriter 19:43, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
Hi again, Yank. I noticed you added some new towns to the list for this state. Problem is, they don't exist and I don't see why the survivors would start them. It looks like you have refugees from Athens, Libertyville (Alabama/Neonotia), and the creation of "New" Hooverville" which is somewhat ambiguous since no town named Hooverville actually exists (it's the name for a shantytown based on homeless people in the Hoover administration in OTL). Since I have adopted the article, I am going to remove fictional towns and go with those in existece at Doomsday. Thanks for the reminder to work on the project, though. Courland, Latgalia, and the New Livonian Order
Okay, as you might have already noticed, I've proposed an article on a group styling themselves after the Livonian Order which is active to the east of Courland. Given that you wrote the Courland article and are in the process of working on another survivour nation in OTL Latvia, I thought that it would be a good idea to ask for your input on the matter so as to avoid stepping on any toes.Tessitore 23:10, December 22, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. On one had, neo-feudalism is one of those things that are generally bad, and the NLO are very much a force for good, if a bit odd. Not to mention that the idea of a neo-feudal society that close to the relatively 'modern' Courland seems a bit strange.
On the other, they are pretty much running the area they're in (and doing a pretty good job of it at that). What about a situation where who's 'officially' in charge and who's really in charge are two different things, i.e. Latgalia has a leadership seperate from the NLO which was/is somewhat ineffectual when it comes to actually getting stuff done, leading to the NLO taking up the slack. Tessitore 00:49, December 23, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, having had a look at what little there is of the Latgalia article and looking up where Rezekne is on the map, it looks like the Livonians and Latgalia can co-exist without any problems, since Latgalia seems to be in mostly in the Latgale region while the NLO operates in the Vidzeme region which is to north-west of where Latgalia seems to be. So it'd be Courland in the west, Latgalia in the east, and the NLO trying to keep things together in the otherwise uncontrolled area between the two (I wonder if any of them is Ravis *grin*).Tessitore 23:15, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
Eh, I was just joking about the Hetalia thing, although there is a group on deviantArt that's focused on Hetalia/1983: Doomsday fanfiction (yes, 1983: Doomsday has reached the stage where people are writing fanfic about it).Tessitore 00:07, December 28, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, getting back on topic. I've got up to the Livonians sending an envoy to Courland, so I thought I'd better inquire as to how Courland would react to a group of guys bearing the insignia of the Livonian Order showing up at the border and asking to speak to someone in charge.Tessitore 23:53, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

Couldn't help but notice your... trouble?
Here's one for you ^^
Lordganon 23:43, December 25, 2011 (UTC)
- Independence date: Ironically... this is pretty much in sync with what I originally thought about (in which French revolutionaries go into exile in America). But as for the independence date, I was thinking much earlier (more like 1809 or something). But I guess 1812 is pretty good.
- Leader title: Hm.. never heard that, but I am not an expert on the French Revolution (even my history class in High School skipped that chapter [not kidding]). Depends greatly on how far the French Revolution went, and whether Canada (and Louisiana if you also implied to them) want to follow the American system or the "failed" French system.
- English nationalism: I highly dough there would be any Quebec-styled movement within Canada for the English. When the English took over New France, the French colonists had nowhere to go within America, which helps greatly to why there is such a large French culture still in OTL Canada and Louisiana. In the case for here, the English people who settled in the [then] Province of Quebec (most of which were loyalists from the Thirteen Colonies) had a greater option to leave Quebec, since the British still controlled a large part of the continent. Along with potential anti-English sentiment in Canada following independence, I dough there would be a major English population that would form. While I don't dough there would be an English population, it would be limited (more comparable to the Cajuns in Louisiana).
- Borealia: I have already settled on the name Borealia for the remaining portions of OTL Canada. I like the name because it "balances" Australia (Borealia=North Land, Australia=South Land). Borealia in that case (and any case) would not be a good name for a province of this nation or Canada.
Unfortunately, an earlier Gold Rush really isn't that possible - it's a question of population, overall. Nor would it help the Russians, really, either, considering where most of the Gold was found - in the Yukon. But the Klondike Rush will get them some hard cash, all the same.
A bloodier Civil War would probably have little effect.
Probably the best PoD I can think of would be a simple one. Otl, Secretary of State Seward had to persuade President Johnson to call the Senate back for a special Session the next day, to deal with the Purchase, when it had become obvious that they would not get to it on their own before it adjourned. Simply put, just have him be unable to do so. With all of the impeachment trash going on at the time, it's very likely that the Senate and House are far too busy to do much of anything about Alaska, and the matter drops entirely.
It would only be some of the dynasty. The Emperor, for example, and his immediate family would no doubt still get locked up. But the ancestors of the current claimants, among others, would no doubt have gotten there.
It would likely end up being a sort of British client state, I'd imagine, but would gain a ton of support from the Allies.
Lordganon 03:32, December 31, 2011 (UTC)
One of the biggest reasons otl why no Czar was crowned after the fall of the USSR is that no one could decide on who the claimant actually was. Here, there'd be an obvious answer. Odds would be pretty reasonable, I'd imagine, of a restoration.
It'd likely be more British-influenced - it would start in an era far before the Americans started to have real influence internationally.
The word "Duma" has been used to refer to such bodies in Russia since the era of the Grand Princes of Moscow (1283-1547). Any such body would be called that, no question.

FTBW and Riel's Canada
Heya Yank, it has been a while since we last chatted, but I hope this message finds you well.
Anyway, I'm currently starting to get back into the AH groove, and I have been starting to get more work done on FTBW right now. So, I'm sure your busy with other things right now, but I'm wondering if you would like to give me hand with some things with it? I'm starting to work on Media and Entertainment. However, they will need a lot of work, and I think someone with new ideas will be able to help out adding in some fresher stuff than I can come up with, especially with some Alternate Destinies.
Also, I do have free time this Tuesday (January 3rd), if you happen to be coming into the city. I wouldn't mind chatting with you in the near future, especially about Reil's Canada, since we have almost done nothing with it since we first talked about it.
- I understand. Thank you for getting back to me, and I will try to shift my schedule around so I can meet yours. Lieut. Tbguy1992: Profile; Talk 01:25, January 4, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Yank I'm going through the proposal list and I see a few of abandoned proposals that are there belong to you, such as Moravia, Wabash Union, etc. Do you have plans to finish these? Some of them show promise while others are on the verge of being marked obsolete. Just wanted to know. Arstar 04:15, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
I'm not talking about me adopting them, as I've retired from making new articles but If you want me to I will finish off what you've started. Some of your articles, such as the Wabash Union are likely to be marked obsolete and I really wouldn't know how to salvage that but I'll try with the other ones. Arstar 06:08, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
I honestly don't know. I'm running low on ideas for Hanthawaddy, so for now I just want to let Burma ripen. Invade if you want, but Hanthawaddy is too politically weak to help. Madoc the Indian
That is precisely what I am planning. Itsaygahi has suffered instability before, and there should at least be some form of French Revolution analogue somewhere in the world. Itsaygahi will fall to the radicals, then suffer a three way civil war between the Levellers, Classists and Racialists. Madoc will fall during that civil war, and a republic established. A republic which will attempt to bring more of the Americas under its control. Its failure will lead to another revolution, which will finally establish a democracy which will pootle along quietly in Itsaygahi for the next two hundred years. Mumby 13:04, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

After thinking about it for a good deal of time, I have decided to engage in some heavy-handed administration and deleted your blog post User blog:Yankovic270/Our Very Own "Doctor Jeckyl and Mister Hyde". Regardless of the validity of your concerns, creating a page specifically to attack an individual user was wildly innapropriate and as damaging to the community spirit as the behaviors you complained about. Furthermore, the idea of blog posts dedicated to complaints about individual users set an absolutely dismal precedent. I do not want to see an Althistory Wiki where users take snipes at one another via their blogs. (This was already happening as part of the Comments section was devolving into discussion of your own behavior.)
I'm open to discussing this, and I dislike the idea of censorship; but like I said, I gave this lots of thought before acting. Benkarnell 04:49, February 7, 2012 (UTC)

I believe there would be a power struggle and that could make things interesting. There might be a democratic takeover, there might be a communist constitution written or it might end up like Taiwan or Jiansu. Its all up to Yank. As well as this, if things go well and the new government is friendly to other survivor nations, there might be a new era of peace and co-operation. Just my thoughts. :D Imperium Guy 22:34, February 8, 2012 (UTC)
Well, I don't want to sound nitpicky, but both Yank and I did the article together, so it would have been nice if I were asked as well, but never mind that. I believe the simple idea of it being communist and crazy North Korea-esque is what gives the country something interesting. The whole peaceful cooperation thing has been sort of done to death. Furthermore, there hasn't been any wars in the vicinity, other than their hostility towards the USSR. If anything, they are trying to find as many other governments to fight against Siberia, so, in essence, there is an era of peace and prosperity.--Vladivostok 23:22, February 8, 2012 (UTC)

Joint Katangain/ Zambian Military Operation in Angola.
I have an idea for a new section in my Zambia proposal, but it involves Katanga, so I feel that I need your permission before I post it. Anyway, I have noticed that two of the remaining Soviet Kingdoms of Angola are close to the borders of both Katanga and Zambia. Since the Soviet Kingdoms of Angola are petty warlordships, I believe they would try raiding their neighbors on rare occasions. I believe that one day Katanga and Zambia would get tired of the occasional minor raids. So Zambia and Katanga would launch a joint military operation in order to secure their borders from future raidingGoldwind1 (talk) 03:31, December 31, 2012 (UTC) 01:58, March 23, 2012 (UTC)

1. Assuming a more or less identical chain of effects (the Three Mile reactor was slightly smaller, but not by much), a 20 mile zone around the plants gets evacuated. Worse, it takes longer than at Chernobyl, because there is no "Three Mile" incident to make it urgent to do so, so more die. This zone, even if some minor variance is taken into account from the difference in reactor size, includes the state capital of Harrisburg, along with several other cities, screwing the state government. At least in Chernobyl, it was mostly swampland - not the case here. And, still worse, unlike at Chernobyl where the effects largely went into sparsely inhabited (relatively) sites, the effects here.... well, the more northern of the major cities on the Atlantic or nearby are going to get it. New York, Boston, Montreal, etc. Expect a massive reduction in nuclear usage.
2. Would be, at most, more of them than otl. I'd expect a more stable Uganda, and a slightly less populous Israel, but little more than that.
3. The timeline you seem to be referring to covers it fairly well, in a lot of ways. The exceptions being the random Chinese stupidity - you should be able to see that for yourself - the speed of effects in the USSR with regards to change, how the "NATO" treaty means exactly nothing, apparently, and how little the massive Chinese advantage in manpower comes into play.
4. Communists come to power in Germany, and otl fascists flee. Events, in a lot of ways, likely play out as in otl. Expect the Soviet-German alliance to last slightly longer, as Hitler has one less plank to use as a reason for war. But, the end result there is the same. Italy joins the Allies, and war probably breaks out sooner.
Lordganon 19:30, March 28, 2012 (UTC)
Highly unlikely. Winds go in the opposite direction, and Washington is quite a ways away. To put that into perspective, Kiev is about the same distance, and direction, more or less, from Chernobyl and was not effected by it in any manner of that nature.
As I said, the best you can manage there is a larger minority of the votes at the Zionist movement meetings to go there.
Best, maybe - because most are trash. China could be beaten by all of them without random, ASB, stupidity. Quality, v.s. Quantity.
Spain likely wouldn't join. Austria, need to be taken, at best, like otl. And, as I said, there are many reasons for the Germans and Soviets to still go after each other - and they likely would, sooner rather than later.
Expect a monarchist movement to emerge in the colonies, if the Crown is not restored.
The Clebourne Memorial, quite frankly, is always overinflated in history. That timeline really isn't plausible, and is another Confederate wank, quite frankly.
Lordganon 01:44, March 30, 2012 (UTC)
Yank, you really need to archive this page, lol. Getting far too long.
Fact of the matter is, Republican Spain wasn't communist, despite what sources will often give off as an impression. And, should it go such a way, you'd have intervention. Add to that the fact that the western powers were far, far, far, far more afraid of communists than fascists otl - hence their slowness to react to the Nazis. Would not roll over so politely, there. As for Austria.... it wasn't a puppet state, not even close. At best, something akin to otl would need to be done there, and likely more - wasn't many left-wing politicians, etc. there then.
Well, I suspect it would take a while. Bet on a few decades, for the atmosphere back home to rub the colonists the wrong way. But yes, a Kingdom of Virginia. I expect, however, that the Bay area colonies - Mass, etc. - would be less likely to do it, barring a ton of royalist refugees. You're correct about the mother country being too busy to do much. As for butterflies..... Well, they aren't likely to get past the Miss~ since they will be weaker. Expect Mexico and whoever has Canada to split the otl American West.
Lordganon 07:39, March 30, 2012 (UTC)
You really aren't going to find another "main" member - not that Spain would have qualified there, anyways, lol. Replace with Romania, and maybe Hungary.
Unlikely that they would have Bermuda. Royalists held a small navy.
At a guess, a kingdom, after French lunacy in France leads to revolts like otl.
The Dutch actually didn't really mind the Swedes. Bet on them staying put. Heck, these guys will probably join forces, to some degree, with the Iroquois.
I suspect that the French would still move into the Miss~ valley. The otl Miss~ purchase would probably end up split between them and Mexico.
Mexico, depends on how things go down. The level of violence, and whether or not there is a revolt, will determine the outcome in that regard.
Agreed on Florida.
Correct with Alaska, and bet on the territory expanding a lot further east.
Lordganon 00:50, March 31, 2012 (UTC)
So long as you remember that, while it would likely last slightly longer, any German-Soviet alliance would still be temporary, and that the war would start earlier.
Agreed on Virginia.
New England, call it a more "sane" and less radical version of Iran.
The northern French state would more than likely either be called "New France" or "Quebec" - lean to the later.
Calling the Dutch Republic a "Republic," despite the name, is not really accurate. Basically, replace the nobles with the merchants, and that's what it was. Though it would be a similar setup.
Given Swedish attitudes, and distance, New Sweden would be something along the lines of otl Canada with regards to its government.
At a guess, I'd say that Louisiana starts out as a monarchy, but moves into being a republic. Call it the increased amount of influence from further south.
As I said, Mexico can go either way. If it's given independence in some form, it would be a monarchy - but if it's done in rebellion, it would be a republic. Neither of which would be under Agustín de Iturbide, unfortunately.
The usage of the word "President" really originates in the English Commonwealth. It's very unlikely that Florida would use it. Something like "Consul" would be more likely.
Communism probably would not emerge here, without the starting influences from in NA. Of course, civil war occurred was more or less going to happen anyways. But it's rather unlikely that the Czar needs to flee anywheres. Bet on, like in New Sweden, something akin to otl Canada in government.
Really, the only reason the Mormons got going on such a scale, is because they settled somewhere no one else wanted. Illinois doesn't fit that, and is too close to the colonies. Something could maybe exist much further inland, but I have to say that in a world where Puritans have more pull, it probably wouldn't emerge at all.
Lordganon 09:28, March 31, 2012 (UTC)
You've got it down pretty good, Yank. Much nicer to see a short page here, too.

Re: Holy Roman Empire
I take it you read my sandbox. Just to add, I am quite surprised to find out how many people actually read it.
As for the HRE, I am actually making it a centralized entity. From what I have read, the HRE was virtually no different from OTL German Confederation. So in affect, it seems too likely that Austria and Prussia (not to mention the possibility of an Italian unification) would eventually lead to its collapse/survival. But either way, I believe that "Holy" and "Roman" have to be dropped from the name. There is nothing "Holy" about the region without "Rome" (which is the other thing).
I would like to tell you that Kenia can actually attack Adal without bordering it and in the process actually expand enough to border it. As well as this, I would like Vietnam's support in the Bharati war against the Capilate-Persia. In return, we promise you our support in the war against Adal. World of the Dead
Haha that sounds A LOT like a Cracked.com article I read earlier today... you didn't happen to read that same article, did you? ;)
I did think that was a pretty sweet idea though, and I don't recall there being any AltDest for Romero already.
KingSweden 03:14, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
I think mini-quests would distract from the survival aspect of the game. I'd go with Romero Productions.
KingSweden 01:35, May 7, 2012 (UTC)
Or Living Dead Productions. "Studios" implies films solely. "Productions" or "Media" can be a multiplatform media company.
KingSweden 01:43, May 7, 2012 (UTC)
Single-player missions in pre-generated towns could make for terrific DLC while keeping the Sandbox function as the main focus of the game. While not traditional MMO, players could "swap" their survivor communities and download maps of towns created by other players that are updated to within 24 hours of download, to avoid realtime edits by original creator. This way, you can choose to share your map through uploading it without having to worry about other players screwing with your work on your personal file.

Federation of Liberia/Monrovia invasion
I'm thinking that the invasion could start on the 14th May with Monrovia moving across the border into Fuamah and Salala Districts and taking approx 10-12 days to take them, do you want to encounter any resistance? let me know and i'll add it in.
In the meantime Nimba/Lofa and the WAU will cross over into Suakoko and Zota Districts at the same time and take 8-10 days to take the area for the Federation.
Within 14-16 days the whole section of invaded territory should be under the control of either Federation/WAU troops or Monrovia troops.
is that all ok? --Smoggy80 16:24, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
I'll start adding it to the Federation page on the 14th, feel free to copy the sections relating to Monrovia onto the Monrovia page.--Smoggy80 11:37, May 11, 2012 (UTC)
Liberation of Taiwan
Sure, I haven't gained any physical rewards in the liberation of Taiwan, but it has united my people. They thirst for revenge, revenge for the humiliation that they had gotten, twice from China and Vietnam, and both from trying to take back lands that had been taken unfairly from them. An OTL example would be Hitler and the German people... if you catch my drift. PitaKang- (Talk|Contribs) 15:54, May 12, 2012 (UTC)
Ireland in Principia Moderni
Ireland and Scotland were joined together for so long, and the Gaelic languages of those nations are so close today, the extra contact would probably make them speak the same language today. (I assume the Celtic Gaelic language would have won out over the Germanic Scots language in Scotland due to this as well as the fact that it was the Keltic Union). Since Scotland is dominating the union, and no religious differences exist like in OTL, it makes since to me that once Ireland became independent, they would join up with Scotland as one nation again, because the only thing seperating them now is geography, not culture. I appreciate the gesture, but I was hoping to combine Dongfang (New Sweden and Mexico). If Datphia becomes a state of Dongfang, is that okay? Also, I think people would have taken notice of a large nation growing near two colonies. CrimsonAssassin 03:06, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
Enclave and I definitely had Pripyat in mind when we talked about the abandoned Harrisburg. Idk about Pripyat necessarily being "vibrant" in ATL modern day but it at least isn't like Harrisburg. And sure, I suppose Harrisburg could have inspired Silent Hill, although it probably has inspired all kinds of media (like Pripyat/Chernobyl in OTL).

Is Ireland under you jurisdiction, or is it fair games for Wales? Also, are political revolutions possible within your own nation, in the future I plan on having a Communist "Liberation" of Wales.Andr3w777 01:06, May 27, 2012 (UTC)
Wales requests an alliance or non-aggression pact with Vietnam and her allies. Also we would like any aid you can provide us if we were to enter a was with Denmark or France. Thank you Andr3w777 19:46, May 27, 2012 (UTC)
Britain was planning an invasion? I certainly hope this was while Wales was still NPC, because I was under the impression that we had a non aggression treaty, if not I'd like to sign one straight away. Andr3w777 21:07, May 27, 2012 (UTC)

My Depressing Times Map Game has begun!
You are in an Alliance with France Yes? If you are could you give my ally aid against Berlin? Andr3w777 23:34, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
I apologize, I have offered them instead an alliance called the Pan Celtic Union, which is nothing more than a treaty organization to protect Celtic-Welsh and Irish interests. Also Wales would like to know if Britain would like an alliance and to join the European Council. You mentioned in an earlier message that I could influence some part of Ireland, do you remember if it was South? I am wondering because my nation would love to expand WITHOUT WAR. Andr3w777 02:26, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
I had hoped to avoid this, but is it possible for Vietnam to send aid to Denmark? Berlin is attempting to get Russia into the mix and you know how that'll go. Also the communists in Wales are gaining some ground in Parliament, if they when this election then we will ratify a long term alliance with Vietnam. Andr3w777 12:16, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
Could you please send some aid to Berlin instead? Berlin fully supports the Vietnam government and would love to become allies. EzraNYC 12:18, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
Vietnam, May I ask that you aid France, Wales and Denmark against Berlin, otherwise the entirety of Europe will collapse. Also what is a client state? Andr3w777 00:12, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
You need not worry, Wales will soon become neutral, according to the war algorithm the war is over. RE: Josef Mengele (Napoleon's World)
Hi Yank, yep, it is. :) Seems me that i read before about your idea, but I thought that Mengele was to going to Paraguay, not Bolivia, because Bolivia does not exist in Napoleon's World O_o The country never is separated from Peruvian control, and the southern part was annexed by Chile. Yet, whatever the country, if Mengele gained he nationality and managed enter to the political circles, then yes, the idea would work perfectly. :) Regads! --Katholico 04:20, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
- I see. Both things (Eichmann's son and Rommel) are very interesting ideas. How would be the life of Adolf Eichmann in your plans? and when this son would be president? In the future or before? I ask this because King already wrote about some presidents in Argentina during the last 30 years.
- I also think in the possibility of other war in South America... despite thar there is only 5 nations in the continent in the TL. Maybe see the territorial changes in the world map help to decide. --Katholico 05:17, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
- I think that both are excelent ideas. The war maybe take place during the 1950's (two decades after the Pacific War and before the Brazilian War). According the map, Ecuador belongs to Colombia, so, Rommel should flee to this country where he will use his military leadership for win. Regards! --Katholico 05:49, June 28, 2012 (UTC)

Did we ever figure out what Idle does in this TL...? Not sure if I remember.
I do remember somebody suggesting he be PM but we had Lennon in his stead, which brings up something I was meaning to point out (a few years too late I'm afraid). In the British/English style of government, Lennon would probably have had to work his way up to the Leadership over a few years before becoming PM... this is why I had him not be Field Marshal during the Scottish Conflict, since he wouldn't have been a sitting MP for even one term before the 1999 English elections. HOWEVER, as a man with military experience, he would have been perfectly positioned as the anti-Tory to criticize the Cleese/Stuart governments' operations in Scotland and Cyrene, at least better than any other potential Labour leader.

Khmer in Principia Moderni
Didn't you say when we were talking about micronationalism and whatnot earlier that all Vietnam would lose would be the Thais, because the Khmer, Lao, and other people would already have been assimilated into the Vietnamese culture? It makes sense after being ruled over by Vietnam for so long that their cultures would be almost gone, semi-autonomy should satisfy any need of theirs for less Vietnamese influence. You shouldn't feel compelled to have the Khmer break away just because of what is going on in China. LurkerLordB (Talk) 21:59, July 7, 2012 (UTC)

Errr... yes, Yank, that more or less is botching it.
Most of the things mentioned in the edits are impossible, such as the TV, atl internet, airships, etc, being in the area. Heck, it claims that 10% of the population has this internet, which makes absolutely no sense.
They claim that towns are abandoned when they are a short distance from one city or the other.
It talks of rail links all the way to North Pennsylvania, and direct relations with Brazil.
It talks of cars being in common use among the wealthy.
It now says that almost all homes have working telephones and radios.
Boat traffic on the river is stated several times, yet this is not a navigable river at all, unless you're in a kayak.
It has them doubling the size at random, saying that they are suddenly more than halfway to Albany, which makes no sense. It also refers to sites as being included in the state that are even further out.
The edits interfere greatly with the New York Rangers article, and indicate that they are at random taking over that area.
They also change things to the exact opposite of what they had said before.
The edits made no sense at all, Yank, as a whole - maybe a quarter were at all reasonable - and sill do not - and that's why I've just undid them again. Have a closer look and you'll see how random they actually are. Was just some New Yorker - the IP traced to there - not making any sense at all.
Re: Republic of New Netherland
Finally, someone to talk NN to. 0.0
Well technically, the New England states ARE part of the US in this timeline. My best guess is that the author put all his efforts securing the continuation of New Netherland, that he didn't look at the butterflies of such an issue. The US even still has 50 states (with the inclusion of Plymouth, Lincoln, Franklin, and PR to fill the missing states). But I chalk this up to him being limited to library books he had to study in the 1980s and '90s, instead of the wondrous internet that you and I take for granted today.
But I am really glad you brought this up. I have been wanting to write a blog dedicated to his timeline, as well as giving my opinions on it. This would have included the fact that New England (yes) would probably be independent from the US, but due as much to the cultural differences than simply having a country dividing them (but made worse because of which). I have also been questioning the issue of slavery in this USA, since Pennsylvania would be the only free state (until you count any future states). However (not being an expert on the period), I wouldn't know where to start on the matter.
As for adopting and adapting this timeline for this wiki... I love it. I would truly hope that you would allow me to be part of this venture. I to have been considering this idea for years now (I even have been working on my own map of his NN). However, I would prefer to have the author (I forget his name) be aware of such a venture. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 20:54, July 16, 2012 (UTC)
Britain In PM
This is just a question I have in regards to Britain. I was wondering if I could be allowed to merge all the British nations into the UK like in OTL. I know Vietnam has significant influence, and you will not lose anything. By doing this, Wales will become an ally. We really wish to see the British people united and this seems to be the only way. We are willing to do whatever as long as it doesn't involve selling our souls or anything. I have no problem with 'Nam but I really wish to see the Isles re-united. It has been hundreds of years since they were last one. Just name a price and we'll be willing to pay (Within Reason) I am not trying to offend you or weaken your stance in Europe. I just have a great wish to reunite the UK. Please consider my proposal.Andr3w777 (talk) 02:23, July 17, 2012 (UTC)
- It's been more than 100 years, Andr3w, as Britain has never been united in this map game. If you did merge with Britain, Wales would fall under the influence of the Gaelic Irish-Scottish culture, since they dominate Britain. LurkerLordB (Talk) 02:33, July 17, 2012 (UTC)
Plans? What plans? I am willing to back off if you look at my offer on Britain. I did not know France was a part of your plan. Bond as an Australian/New Zealander?
A thought I had: do you think James Bond would be more interesting if he WASN'T American? He could have been Oceanian (which is where so many Brits fled anyways in OTL), and been played by George Lazenby, Sam Neill, Mel Gibson and now Hugh Jackman. I dunno who to put in the 1960s though, and I think giving James Brolin a turn as Bond in the 1980s could be interesting since he was actually hired for the part at one time.
Alaskan KGB or Churat (NW KGB equivalent)? I've never been a fan of the theory that they are all different Bonds (though I can see, based on when each actor's movies cut off, why people would come up with that).
I read (on Cracked, obviously) that originally the Wajchowski brothers (spelling?) were going to do a single sequel, THEN a prequel. So the sequel they were going to make got stretched out into the bizarre Reloaded and (from what I hear, never seen it) the awful Revolutions. Since it's your idea, I'll let you flesh that out, but it could be cool to combine your fantheory ideas with their idea to have the Matrix, a sequel then a prequel.
What about someone unrelated to Presley but born in 1935? Ronnie Hawkins, for example? Or maybe Bob Denver in a reallllllyyy alternate destiny.
In hindsight, I sort of regret giving the Kennedys so much diversity in this TL, as well as the Lincolns, so I'm a bit reluctant to do that to Elvis as well (though Jesse Presley could make for an interesting politician, considering his brother's 2000 campaign...)
I like the MJ idea. I lifted the computer aged Elvis off of someone else on this wiki, to be honest. I had to hunt for the aged John Lennon pics on Bing/Google when I did that.
If world war doesn't break out next turn I will merge with Britain. Just to be clear, (forgive me for being thick I'm a forienger) But I will be the one controlling Britain yes? I do not want to throw my sovereignty away. Of course we would remain an ally of Vietnam, and support them in most endevaours, but in any other way I am clear, ja?Andr3w777 (talk) 01:05, July 21, 2012 (UTC)

Hate to be nosy, but I have a Scotland-Ireland flag here:
Well, I have 3 flags ready. The Nipponese and Dutch merger is not very interesting, however! They don't really have much of a complex design.
Here is one with the normal Dutch flag and Nipponese circle:
Then there is one with the circle in Dutch Orange, so it is a bit more intersting:
Well, there is also a flag where the background colours are a little brighter:
I don't know what your issue is with me, but stooping as low as far as comparing me to Scan and Kun? That is a true insult, Yank. Apology accepted. I now realize that my wording was a bit harsh, so I apologize if you're offended.
However, I fear it is too late to do that now, and that Nippon and Bharat are using that as a scapegoat to start their Europe-Asia War. And their reasoning is basically a load of bull. Apparently they have it in their minds that I'm gonna annex Hanover. Also, what would be Hanover's motive? It's not ten, no sovereignty threatened, so what would it be? It has kept me from making the algorithm since last night. (Here in New York, that is.)
Meh, it's okay, you can take the issue off your mind.
And I calculated my stability as 135:
- Population: 9 digit (235,469,873)
- Years ruled: 80
- 80/10 equals 8
- 8^1.25/1.25^8 = 5.9.......................rounded up to 6
- 6 times 9 times 2.5 equals 135
Is this right?
Yep. One spark. That's all it takes. An excuse, really.
Also, if you don't want Wales to annex Britain, I strnogly advise you to sit out because the European numbers win, mostly due to my skillful propaganda. I convinced half of Europe and Africa to join our side. So, in other words, if you join the war, all of Britain goes to Wales and Alaska goes to Russia.
I really know you don't want that to happen.
I cna see why you'd think that, but as we all know, Imp has a record of tweaking algorithms, like giving leaders two and making the M a two, and MV and S ones. Look at some he's done in the past.
Also, you guys have lost any chance of winning because Crim decided that China and Dongfang will not be in the war. Also you guys will only win if Collie joins you fellows. If he doesn't, y'all are screwed really bad. It's not a small margin. It's a huge one.
- Excuse me, no I don't! I have made mistakes while making algorithyms, but that were all absent-minded ones and usually when I was in a rush. I do not tweak algorithyms, lol! :P Imp (Say Hi?!) 12:31, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
Inca in PMII
As you may or may not know I am remaking the PMII map. I am sorry to inform you that the Incan Empire is VASTLY oversized for this time. About half your territory should be black and the remaining half is split into several smaller kingdoms and nations. However most of these can be conquered by diplomacy and you may become that size by about the early 1500s as you still are the most powerful nation in South America in 1450, and controll the breadbasket region of Lake Titicaca.

Second Mexican Empire
If Juarez had been killed, someone else would have come to the forefront at some point and done the task. Between the majority not wanting the Emperor, and the American government, it's more or less going to happen.
No way to legitimize the man more than in otl - he adopted some Mexican ways, and even took the legitimate claimant to the throne, and the next in line after that, and adopted them, naming the better claim, Agustín, as his heir.
For the second to survive, you need to remove the Americans from the picture somewhat - and even that doesn't assure it, and is only a patch on the problem. The Mexicans, with US backing, will eventually do it irregardless.
Really wouldn't call California "independent." Was for all of a week, and the Mexicans could have put that one down easily. Nor would it have happened had war with the US not been imminent. Heck, by the time of the revolt, it had already been declared.
And war with Mexico was just a matter of when, not where, or how. Their interests coming into conflict was going to happen irregardless of Texas. In such a war, the southwest goes to the USA every time.
Even if California and Texas somehow managed that, the USA could still get both - they would still have a Pacific coastline.
Russia would not hold onto Alaska, most likely. Couldn't afford it.
Nor would Hawaii stay independent - it would end up like the other south Pacific nations, under British protection.
If the USA has only the Oregon territory, bet on the Brits getting both, however.
Not really possible with a different commander. The Dutch post was out-shot, outgunned, outnumbered, and had pretty bad defenses. Different commander would not do much to help any of those factors.
All the Dutch need to do to keep the colony is ask for it back in the war they lost it in. Really, in most ways, they won that one. Or they could ask for it back in the next one.
What would happen.... one of two things. Either it joins some sort of USA in some form, or is an independent city-state. Expect an easier American Revolution.
...That's not really very possible, Yank. Virtually all of that is very expensive, and far beyond the ability of the governor to accomplish or order. Would also bankrupt the Dutch West India Company if they tried. There's a reason why it didn't happen otl. Lordganon (talk) 08:44, August 8, 2012 (UTC)
The SDL would intervene if you want to totally conquer Algeria, but you could take some land from them as long as you left the main state intact. If you got over 33.33%, you wouldn't be able to make them a puppet state, but their government would still collapse, so a new state would rise nonetheless, and you would still get territory. So basically, war as normal, with your stated goals being to only take some land, and hope you hit them enough to destabilize them to collapse on their own. Then, of course, a civil disarray state could easily be stabilized by a kindly neighbor... LurkerLordB (Talk) 00:57, August 8, 2012 (UTC)
A Great worldEditar sección
hi, I don't know if you will be interested in this but i made a new map game, and i'm contacting people to see if they would find it interesting and join or just to promote it
Republic of New York
Hey Yank. I was wondering i you were interested in finishing the Republic of New York project we started a whileback. Its currently not listed in many articles as existing but it is canon. So what do you say? Arstar talk 03:55, August 8, 2012 (UTC)
Right you are.
Sorry about that.
I think you need to start breaking up Bharat, since you're silled at breaking up nations. The chief breakaway would be Afghanistan, with a large Muslim population. Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 01:03, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
Hi Yank. I was wondering if there was a slim chance you will ever finish the Wabash Union article. If you don't work on it in a week, I am obsoleting it. Sorry its just that its been sitting here a while. Arstar talk 22:47, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
Well technically you can't take the Ottomans since Dean has his name there. So I would recomend the Mamluks, however with the huge number of christian nations any large Muslim nation is at threat of getting owned. In regards to a tribe, you with gain a lot more land to expand into but at the cost of retarded technological and industrial growth. You will not get nukes and you will be essentially the equivalent of most 3rd world nations today by the end of the map game with little regional let alone global influence. My true opinion is you should challenge RWG for France as the noble house of Borboun or also enter the HRE as the Palatinate (elector) or maybe join as the Loki dynasty in India or the White Shhep Turks in Mesopotamia or join as the Jurchen in Manchuria if you what a tribe with any chance of becoming a superpower or you could risk the Mamluks and a probable crusade... Scandinator (talk) 23:52, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
If you are the Mamluks, then I suggest me & you form an alliance, as we'll be the main two Muslim nations/powers, and we'll have to face off all of Christendom. The Mamluk-Oman alliance will rule the world! VonGlusenburg (talk to Von!) 00:22, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
This one is with the Russian Yellow on the flag (good choice, I like it too!!) with a white gap in the middle as it would look too much like Vietnam's flag then. Here is another varient with all of the Russian colours on the flag:
Its just so that you have the choice to choose which one you prefer. If you still want all the background to be Yellow, just say so! Hope you like the flags!! :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 20:34, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
Neo-Feudal America Map Game
Sorry for the Delay
hey man sorry it took me a while to get back to you, I just moved cities, got a new job and have had some Internet trouble as of late (amongst other things). I like your ideas, deff recognize that Groundhog Day idea haha
Cool story actually, Bill Nye came to my elementary school back in the 90s for an assembly. Love that guy.
Anyways, yes, if he was an English version of Nye (I know he's Scottish, so maybe his parents fled the Civil War there, it'd fit with the year he was born.)
Yep your right about the coup stuff, but your algorithm formula is only for the time aspect, it should be 0.10^1.25/1.25^0.10 and then taking the answer for that and going multiplying it by 2.5 and then multiplying that by y. With y being the amount of digits in your population e.g. if its in the 10s of millions then y = 8 because there are 8 digits in 10,000,000.
So if we assume Algeria was a population in the 10s of millions, then the algorithm would be (0.10^1.25/1.25^0.10)*2.5*8. We then solve this, the quickest way to do so being to just copy & paste the formula into google search and then we get
((0.10^1.25) / (1.25^0.10)) * 2.5 * 8 = 1.09986401802
As for an NPC's stability, we just use a random number generator to get us a figure between 1-10 to use as the NPC's chance score. Also if you ever forget any thing like date of the last government change, just go looking through the past posts to find it. A helpful tip is to use the find function ( ctrl-f ) and use the country name to quickly sort through the past posts. Hope this helps --VonGlusenburg (talk to Von!) 10:01, August 23, 2012 (UTC)
Venice has no reason to declare its independence from Italy, they are totally homogenized. Corsica was the same way too, an ASB breakaway, but I let that happen. I clearly established when I had lots of northern Italy break away that those were the only areas of significant cultural difference (Waldensian, not Catholic). Anything else breaking away was implausible, you are lucky I decided not to start a fight and let the ASB Corsican breakaway occur. There is a line between having realistic micronationalism and having revolts for the sake of revolts, which I feel that you have crossed with many of your events, such as the break-up of the Chinese north American colony and the break-ups of Greece and Germany. For nationalism to occur there needs to be a distinct nation, people don't just randomly declare independence. LurkerLordB (Talk) 21:47, August 23, 2012 (UTC)
USAR (1983: Doomsday)
But the thing is that the Virgin Islands aren't independent, as the USAR is an country made up of not only the Virgin Islands, but of other Caribbean Islands and parts of Puerto Rico.
A better way to word the sentence would be "The Virginians simply call them the "Virgin Islands", as other nations refer to them as such, but to declare them the "United Republic of the Virgin Islands" implies that there is some movement among the VI for a separate nation from the USAR. And the USAR is not a full member on the ECF as they maintain their own military.
Not impossible that a separate Japanese Church gets established, but it's highly doubtful.
Those Japanese who had converted prior to the 1900s became mostly Catholic - most other converts were, in fact, after WWII.
The Catholic Church really doesn't lend to new churches forming - that's more of a Protestant thing.
Really, any such Church would be a Protestant offshoot, one of many - the effect would be little. It'd still have only a tiny amount of members.
Effects, overall, would be almost nothing.
Really, the only one that could cause that is a version of "superflu." Similar to the Spanish flu pandemic, or a more lethal version of the avian/swine flus.
The release of a biological weapon.... not really. In a widespread area? Sure. On anything like a global basis? No.
Yes, it really would be pretty ASB.
When the Black Death went through Europe, it did miss large areas entirely, largely due to the disease running its course, distance, terrain, and quarantines. However....
That being said, even with the large death rates from the "Death," almost no governments collapsed from it.
A disease on a scale to cause even more deaths would not leave anywhere unscathed. And most, if not all, authority would collapse.
Overall, there's no real way a disease could have that effect.
Now, could you have one that topples governments? Sure. But it's going to hit everywhere.
Axis vs Allies Revolutions
The game is starting, please post.
The England Question
Hey Yank, what is your plan for England? Since the London part is Catholic and geographically close, would it be acceptable if i absorbed it over time? Lurk says that it is plausible, but i don't want do something that might get in the way. Just a thought and thanks for your answer in advanceThese are not the droids you are looking for. 01:24, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
you've a valid point it is a mite late in game, ill leave them be, maybe givethem a mutual alliance treaty or somethingThese are not the droids you are looking for. 02:36, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
Hey man. Well I got flags:
Well, for Baishan and Ruthenia, I wasn't sure about which one of the options to give you:
So I gave you two. Choose wisely my friend (or just tell me if you want any other version). Why the differet colour of half sun? To symbolize its rising power! :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 19:35, September 2, 2012 (UTC)
Idk about a spinoff (Two-Face is a villain, after all, and back in the 90s they didn't exactly make the morally complex superhero films they do now), but you could roll with that, scrap the Penguin in the sequel and have Batman's status as vigilante threatened by the more compulsively violent Two-Face and make him (as well as Dent) question whether his role in society is actual justice. Maybe include Catwoman in Returns as the female lead.
Then you could switch out Two-Face for a different villain in Forever, while making Forever a bomb that led to the hiatus of the series until Batman vs. Superman.
New Country (1983: Doomsday)
I really have to doubt it would be possible, Yank. You're talking about dozens of little settlements, with only a few hundred people in them at most.
Really, about the only way something like that would happen is with outside influence - and they'd just be incorporated into the state that helped them, more likely.
Yank, one problem with any of that - only a single one of those communities isn't inside of either Blue Ridge or the Republic of the Inner Banks by this point. Has a few hundred people in it, and is nowhere near any of the others to begin with, or Virginia for that matter.
Was hoping to avoid having to tell you that one.
As for that last post....
It was Kentucky, operating slightly under the banner of your alliance, that did that in Tennessee. Not Virginia.
Nor are they, quite frankly, capable of it anyways.
Ahahah love it I despise Pitbull passionately.
Not sure if Billy Ray Cyrus suggestion was yours or not (anon post) but it sounds like one of your usual irony-inspired ideas, so I approve!
Skank may be a strong word but I like the idea.
Oh yeah fuck Ke$ha she's the worst. Yeah it prob would be better for both.
Good concept but I think it'd work better as a film than as a tv show.
Sorry about what happened in Axis vs Allies. :(
While Hungary may be it's own country, What if instead of reunification, we have a military alliance between Austria and Hungary? We could take on Czechoslovakia together!
Karafuto (PM II)
Sure, you can have Karafuto/Sakhalin. Gives me one less island to worry about (and I can focus on conquering Chishima (Kuril) Islands and Kamchatka and a bit of the Russian Far East some more easier).
Mind having an alliance later on, by the way? -Kogasa 2012年9月05日 09:41:02 (JST)
Your not going to be able to form a nation over 100% of the Jurchen area right away. There will be tribes and areas that attempt to undermine you. Also the area coloured in the map is the extent of the tribal lands. Your nation will appear within the tribal lands with a border on the next map. Please feel free to message me at any time with the proposed boundaries of your nation (no more than 60% of the tribal area) in 1455 and I promise that by 1460 the whole tribal area and a little more will be yours. Me and Italy's player have been thinking of how to take over Czechoslovakia.
And how about this, we could reunify Austria-Hungary if you return as Austria.
You could represent the Austrians, and I could represent the Hungarians, and we could take over Czechoslovakia, and restart the mighty Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Re:13 Fallen Stars
Prior to 1821, "Guatemala" referred to the entire region that includes the Central American states, minus Panama and including Chiapas. Much like how "Mexico" referred to a (comparatively) smaller region of modern day Mexico, Guatemala's meaning changed after independence. You can read more about it here. The primary reason Guatemala is smaller than the original captaincy is because the people agreed to become a union of equal provinces (United Provinces of Central America).
Yes, I would have called the Maryland-Pennsylvania union "Columbia," but this idea has been dead for a while now. The Pacific Northwest nation is now called Columbia (I started an article about it). "Cascadia" and "Oregon" are American names, while "Columbia" is the British name (i.e., British Columbia).

Kazakhs and Mongols
I had been planning for a Neo-Mongol Khanate to arise, your Kazakh accession resulted in me having to readjust my plans, actually for the better. I was planning for the Chatagai to prove a somewhat threat to the Kazakhs, killing the current Khan. His successor, in desperation, ask the new Oirats Khan for aid. The two defeat the Chatagai, become close friends, and then merge their Khanates into one, launching a massive Kazakh-Mongol invasion re-uniting all of the former Khanates briefly and causing a great deal of war. re: Rest of Manchuria
Greetings. Sorry for being late in the response, but I lost track of time. Thank you so much for the suggested names, and I am quite sure they can be incorporated (if they aren't already). For you see, I have been informed that Virginia would most likely be a unitary state of counties and cities (much like OTL Virginia, just on a larger scale). Thank you again. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 22:21, September 20, 2012 (UTC)
Protestant Reformation in Principia Moderni II
I will consult with LordGanon if an earlier reformation would be possible in this scenario. If he says it is, then I will probably have Scotland break away if the Pope keeps up his ridiculous support for heretics. LurkerLordB (Talk) 00:09, September 21, 2012 (UTC)

Virginia and US Virgin Islands
I don't know if you have been following the headache that has resulting for me forgetting to sign in while writing in an alternative suggestion for the "United Republic of Virgin Islands" but if you haven't I would like your opinion being the caretaker and all. Of both LG's accusations and the suggestion I posted. Thanks. Arstar talk 05:11, September 26, 2012 (UTC)
Funny Yank, how he posts that and ignores his own actions, lol.
He changed, at random and without permission, something in your article, again - what was, in effect, vandalizing it - and I called him on it.
Apparently, he doesn't like that, lol.
So you know.
Ryazan is so weak and feeble, I doubt they would be capable of resisting longer. I'll have the main Khanate absorb the Nogai and Sibir Khanates, and then the Crimean Khanate, which will allow them to attack Lithuania instead (Lithuania's player has been gone for so long, they won't be there for very long). I was planning for the fall of the Dual Khanate (which would begin in 1478) to occur with the two Khans fighting wars in other places. I'll consult with Saamwiil and CrimsonAssassin to see if they would be willing to have their nations briefly under attack before beating back the Kazakh-Mongols.
Re:Asia (13 Fallen Stars)
Greetings. Sorry to say, but I know little about how the remainder of the world will look like in this timeline (which is why I'm opening it up for discussion). So all I can say is patients. However, I can give you some of my opinions on Asia, not that they will end up being right.
- Was it you who brought up Matthew Perry in my Russian America timeline (or was it someone else)? Oh well. From what I am told, Perry (a New Englander to boot) was the man that "forced" Japan to westernize. With NE stuck in the Atlantic, or rather more powerful nations in the region, it is likely Japan would be different. How different, I can't say. For a benchmark, I am set on using the model I used in my Russian America timeline, in which Russia (which was closer and had contact with Japan) leads to the westernization of Japan. But my guess is how a Napoleon-less world would work for Japan in this situation. Might be interesting (maybe not for you, lol) would be a Russian Hokkaido (read it somewhere, but nothing set yet).
- I am not an expert on Tibet or the Dalai Llama, so I can't say. My guess and benchmark (however), would have Tibet become a protectorate of Great Britain. Again, just my benchmark.
- I have been considering how China would work here. But I am not an expert on China to know at the moment. As for Manchuria, my strong belief (and desire) is that Manchuria falls to Russia. Russia was bound to gain it OTL, but the Russo-Japanese war greatly weakened Russia in the region (leading to Manchukuo). This would not be the case if Japan is a (somewhat) ally of Russia. So, expect to see the Russian port of Dalny.
- According to what is canon, Forsma/Taiwan is under Dutch control. Whether this will be what ends up I can't say (not an expert).
Dude, it was nothing personal. I honestly wasn't even thinking about PMI when I posted that, I was just looking for some land grabs. Sorry if it hit you a bit hard, but I wasn't even thinking that you were the user for Manchuria. Again, sorry mate, but yeah. Well, I just figured I'd keep up with current events and have him die peacefully. No big.
The Finnish break up is fine, but being vassalized by the Saami is out of the question. The Saami merely forming a state was implausible to begin with, and it would barely be more than a loose tribal confederation. They wouldn't be able to conquer anything. The Finns couldn't take any of Sweden as well, the most they could do would be to break away. The only ones who could take any Swedish lands would be the Danes and the Norweigans.
Yank, you have to stop bearing these grudges from months ago. You went and raged at Pitakang because of the conflict with Korea in the last game several months ago could be vaguely related to one in this game, and now you are dragging up a conflict with Scandinator that was literally a season ago. LurkerLordB (Talk) 21:27, October 10, 2012 (UTC)
Yank, Finnish city states are fine but the Saami would never be able to rule over anything except their homelands. A few thousand hunter-gatherer-farmers can't take over a civilized nation. With the rest of Scandinavia, I posted that me, Agent and MoS have university entrance exams. He will likely return in the near future so if you could leave the Danish islands and Peninsula alone that would be great. Scandinator (talk) 02:42, October 12, 2012 (UTC)
I personally am okay with it existing, providing it be done PROPERLY. What the current Caliphate is, is a hydra, a beast that is not following the rules. The HRE, which is an empire with mulitple player and NPC nations in it, took almost 50 years to unify, yet the Caliphate grows up in just a few decades. The HRE is not allowed to use NPC nations that are not vassals in their algorithms, yet the Caliphate can and does. The HRE is not allowed to use every state of the Empire to attack someone, but yet the Caliphate can. It isn't rightAndr3w777 (talk) 20:51, October 16, 2012 (UTC)
Re: Van Helsing
Love the idea BUT isn't Van Helsing's first name Abraham?
Haha you've clearly given this some thought. Is the show intended to be for kids? I also had some ideas for the TV show/fourth movie that could be fairly realistic (the second run/fourth film not being received well and not necessarily done with the original creators' blessing/input).
The fourth movie could be a cash grab by a studio after the second run ends?
Weren't you aiming for the 1969 Dracula to be roughly analogous to the '58 version? Or was the '69 version supposed to be more along the lines of those early 70s exploitation films? (I had some ideas about the 70s Van Helsing movies, mostly derived from this class I took in college about filmmakers in the 1970s and their innovations, which dovetails perfectly with ATL deregulated Hollywood)
I'm a bit confused. Probably because I don't watch a whole ton of horror movies so I don't know as much about the Hammer Films as you do.
Edison is already involved in film in this TL, so I think that's pretty much established.
Here's my thought. 1969 Dracula could be the only one, becomes a sleeper hit which leads to a less-successful sequel BUT which leads to the very successful Van Helsing series. Since Dracula is public domain (I'm pretty sure), a different Dracula series could come out later. I'm really either way and since you're the horror buff it's best you do what you think works better. I've never seen any Dracula movies (1931, Hammer or that one that Francis Ford Coppola made in the 1990s).
Map Game Wiki
I've been thinking about this idea for a long time.
Basically, it would have four advantages:
A) Map Games would not be restricted to althistory.
B) The reputation of this wiki wouldn't be so downgraded by them a-holes on AH.com.
C) It would have the effect of less clutter on this wiki.
D) It could have rules specifically designed for Map Games, including rules about defunct ones, etc.
What do you think?
A suggestion as to rules:
A) there would be a hierarchy, similar to the one on this wiki (called the Grand Council of Cartography, or something like that.)
B) Only these members would be allowed to mod on map games. This makes awkward runaway implausogasm situations or biased mod problems less likely.
C) There would be stricter rules about edit wars and the like. This wiki primarily devotes itself to althistory, so there is practically no solid rules on map games. This wiki would have them.
D) To get into the mod group, you would have to be part of the initial group of users (probably all from althist, people like you, me, scraw, etc), or have used the wiki for at least 6 months. This would be the lowest level, with the same 3 levels thing. For those 6 months, you would have to prove that you are plausible, polite, respecting of the rules, etc.
E) There would be a centralized algorithm, with lots of variations for different scenarios. This eliminates the @#$% idiotic algorithms that you see in some of the worse map games on this wiki.
Haven't gotten much further than that, any suggestions would be welcome!

EHHHHH... man, I had thought about some new ideas for the timeline, but definitely Disney was not in my priorities xD jajajaja I mean, to be honest, the cultural aspect in a timeline is one thing that I generally don't take account much :/ I focus principally in the nations and politics. jeje However, I think that are good your ideas. I have a plan regarding the Timurids currently so please let me carry it out without you interfering please. The Dimurat kingdom will be restored (at a much larger size I add) once this plan is over and the Timurids discontinued. Greetings, Yank. In short, I kinda lost interest in the timeline around October, and felt like moving to something else. I will get back to it in a few months or so. Yes, I agree there's a lot of Coptic Christians running about in Egypt and Egypt doesn't want them (there are a lot of Coptic Muslims as well mind you) although a lot of them live in New Mecca, together with a lot of Syriac Christians and other dissenters of the Caliphate. But sure, a Coptic state in north Florida is also a pretty good idea. Fed (talk) 18:42, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
So Eastwood would be voicing the character in a one-off kind of thing? I thought he wasn't involved with the TV show.
There should probably be a page for Living Dead Media, if there isn't already.
Yank, not only is the current history canon, but it also holds up pretty well. These refugees helped the rebels, disrupting the communists, and damaging their territory, in addition to not liking the communists and actually fighting them.
Really, the Vietnamese rebels in the south seem to have controlled that area from day one. There isn't all that much of a record of refugees, either - something the formation of states a couple provinces inland helps confirm.
So, overall, I have to say that it doesn't work.
Hey, could I have some help with the National information page? I need to update all of the player's stats, using the rules from RT Revised, based on their actions for this turn. I also need to add Persia. Could you help? CourageousLife (talk) 22:52, January 1, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you but I have been off the grid for the last two weeks. If you are still interested please pass your nation ideas and suggestions on to me. Also do you have an area that you know especially well? If yes, then you may moderate new nations in that area. Scandinator (talk) 01:58, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
I say just have him combine his "nations" so he doesn't have so many. If he had less nations then there wouldn't be a problem. I'm not sure on the exact number but I think 10 would be more than enough. That's in that alliance, if he has 10 in that alliance and then another 10 in a rival alliance then I'd okay it. But if he did that then I'd give him a condition that those two alliances could never be allies.
Anyway if he refuses to combine his nations so he has less than 10 in that alliance of his, then do punitive mod event against him. Though I would accept a total non-negotiable total of 15. So 10-15 is the maximum I'd allow. VonGlusenburg (talk to Von!) 03:43, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
Re: Canadian Disney (13 Fallen Stars)
Hm. Never really thought about Disney. From what I have quickly read about Disney, his parents (let alone his ancestry) seemed to have been everywhere. While his father was Canadian, his mother would be Pennsylvanian (ATL of course). His dad lived in California and Kansas, and his parents got married in Florida. But given the openness of many Presidents me and LG have looked into, I don't see why Disney wouldn't be a Canadian here (stranger things have happened).
As for a Disneyland in Canada, nothing against that (considering I live an hour from Disney World XP). My bet would be Chicago or Toronto (as a location). However, I would also like to add that Disney may have also spent some time in New Netherland, particularly since Atlantic City would be this timeline's Hollywood (we will assimilate Disney XD). Also (because I have had the South on my mind all day), I have to imagine how Carolina would react to Song of the South. Sorry, I'm going off in a tangent. ^^; --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 04:24, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
I went to ask you this, as you are a mod, and i need an second opnion about this, as i've asked Lurker already but i don't think he'll answer:
As you might know Castille's player is inactive in all but name.he is still is up on the player list and has an color on the map. This is the first time that an situation like this happens.the last situation remotely like this (Great Mediterranean war) didn't had the player absent for so long. The question is whether i should treat Castille like a player nation, like he technically is, and he receives no bonus, or treat him as NPC, like he should have been declared by the time in which he spent absent, and he receives a bonus.--Collie Kaltenbrunner (talk) 06:52, January 16, 2013 (UTC)
Antillian Land Claims
So, negotiations. How about you post a map of what you claim, and after that, I'll post a map of what I claim, and then we can come to some kind of compromise. CourageousLife (talk) 20:21, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
The size of Manchuria's colonies (PM2)
The colony on OTL Vancouver island and the near-by coastline in Washington state is 882 pixels large. So its 44,100 sq km. The Manchurian colony in Mexico is 296 pixels or 14,800 sp km. Hope that helps. VonGlusenburg (talk to Von!) 23:58, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Hong Kong (13 Fallen Stars)
Forgive me for being straightforward, but weren't you the one who also suggested that China would not remain under colonial control by today? Also, I am quite happy to see others (aside from LG) read by sandbox. Thank you. ^_^
I too am confused about Asia, and have no idea what the original creator had in mind. However, I doubt a dominion would be established from any part of the Mainland. Any more chunk of land would be mostly populated by the Chinese, that making it a dominion on par with the mostly settlers colonies that make up the (now canon) United Commonwealth would be unthinkable and probably undesirable.
I included Hong Kong as a potential idea because of its smaller size, and importance to the British in the region. But it all depends on what happens in Asia here.
I have been considering how the many non-settler colonies of the British (India, Nigeria, etc.) would function in comparison with the United Commonwealth (which would mostly consist of settler colonies and non-white colonies with low populations [like the Caribbean]). I have been playing around with the idea that they would become independent but remain in a Commonwealth Realm (thinking of it like how contemporary Australia and Canada function with the UK). Depending on how China evolves here, I could maybe see Hong Kong being the hub of a British backed (Cantonese) state within this realm (just a thought).

Hello, Argentina here. I am wishing to inquire about a few things. 1. Would you be interested in attending the World Cup 1978 provided your country is clear of infection by 1978. 2. Definitely Birmingham, Al. since he's from Alabama.
I haven't done much with NW recently, want to try new things. I'm about to publish my first sci-fi novel as an ebook, I've been on the Future Wiki collaborating with someone there, and I want to get more into Cinco De Mayo. Speaking of which, have any ideas for Cinco De Mayo?
New Vegas (1983:DD)
Hi, Yank. Thank you for the interest in my ideas. So far, it looks like you may have to scale back the population. I like the fact that you speak of "sustenance" farming, since we cannot depend too much on the Hoover Dam.
I don't think it will crumble, though the two blasts over Vegas may have sent shock waves out that may have damaged the dam. Lake Meade might begin to back up and spread more and more into the surrounding mountains. I don't think it would actually overflow the dam. That brings us to the river itself. If it dried up, the valley below would be useless. The EMP would have wiped out the electronic controls, but the dam was built before those controls were totally electric. I'm pretty sure that there would be mechanical means for letting some of the water through. In fact, there may be a permanent channel that assures at least a natural flow without hindrance. That needs a little bit of research.
Finally, I see where Ganon writes it off as impossible. Persuing the article may be too much trouble. The small settlement would probably have to hook up with the government of Mexico to have any hope of succeeding. We will have to work with survivors fleeing south along the river, living on the land until they reach civilized settlements near the border. Cut off from the US, these survivors would naturally seek help from Mexico.
Thanks again for wanting to breathe life into the timeline. SouthWriter (talk) 19:29, April 7, 2013 (UTC)

Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your interest in adding moderator events. Having another person to think things out is really helpful. In the future don't do anything too big, especially without talking with me. Hopefully we can collaborate and make so cool stuff. I already have some ideas up my sleeve. Mscoree (talk) 00:43, April 23, 2013 (UTC)
These are some great ideas to start. I especially like four and five, which are quite unique. I can write these in a turn or two. As for the Korea one I've actually been thinking about this for a long time, mostly the other way around with North attacking South, but couldn't think of a logical explanation. The Poland one might be more difficult since the USSR is launching a massive campaign there to restore communist rule. I think we can develop the republic and see how the USSR deals with it. If you want to take the lead on Korea and Poland that would be awesome. Thanks for the suggestions. Here some things I have in the works:
- Secret USSR thing- Can't say here, but trust me, this one is going to be pretty awesome (I've been planning a huge event for a while now. If you have a gmail I can show you the Google doc where I planned some of it).
- Habsburg retakes Austria- already started this one. I plan to reintroduce the Holy Roman Empire
- A war in Central America- this can eventually lead to the the Federal Republic of Central America
- A Vietnam War-style conflict in Chile- Basically the United Republic backed by the United States versus the northern communists. Probably will either end like Vietnam or Korea did
- More micro nations, historic regions, and survivor communities rise up out of the American Midwest.
- Possible Anglo-Saxon Heptarchy in England
- Possible democratic China
I can add you to my other planning sheets as well so you can see my other ideas. Usually I write down notes on one page as I read the previous turn, then pull up another page and write out turns from the notes. Mscoree (talk) 02:28, April 23, 2013 (UTC)

Re:Asia (13 Fallen Stars) 2
Well from what LG and I have been discussing, China is far to populous to be divided up like Africa and India were. In all likelihood, China would be an independent nation here. Tibet would also gain independence, and Russia would carve out northern China as part of their empire, leaving China proper an independent nation.
Hong Kong would become a dominion of the UC, and would probably a little bigger than OTL not too much, more or less including 20 miles inland).
Japan would expand to include Taiwan and Korea, due in great part to Russia becoming a greater ally to Japan (it would be a Russian who opens up Japan to Europe). Japan would still be a monarchy, and an Asian power (with Russia being a greater ally in many regards). But that is all I have at the moment. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 19:28, April 30, 2013 (UTC)
- I would assume that the Russians would treat the Manchus about the same as they did the Poles and Turks they inherited from their imperial expansion. It also depends on how Russia would differ from OTL. No Napoleonic Wars would prevent the USSR and the many ethnic republics from being established (meaning Russian remains dominant in many regards), but would also mean that liberalism would not be seen negatively. My guess would be that they allow regional languages, but Russian remains the sole working language of the Empire. Also given that the Russians would most likely not "hyper-populate" the region (as did the Han Chinese OTL), my guess is that there are more Manchus there than OTL.
- Siam would still exist, and would still be a monarchy (much like OTL). Both the British and the French had many good reasons to keep them independent, especially since it acted as a buffer between Burma and Indochina.
- LG has suggested that China would either remain a monarchy (possibly under a new dynasty) or become a republic. I haven't decided yet, but I personally am moving towards a republic (unlike you and LG, I am a republican and enjoy a good republic XP).
- If what I am reading is correct, the Khmer Empire ended well before the POD (try three centuries before). Much like OTL, Cambodia would fall under French dominance, and would become part of a federation under French protection. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 20:27, April 30, 2013 (UTC)
While Siberia (especially Yakutia) are not very livable, Manchuria is. Also given that the region would be Russia's gateway to the Pacific (especially militarily), I would see Manchuria become much more populated with Russians. The only difference is that it would not be hyper-populated, and Manchus would thereby make up a larger population (but probably no more difference from the other non-Russians within their homelands).
To me, "Siam" and "Thailand" are synonymous. I am not clear on how the name changed, but I will change it if it is need.
I do support constitutional monarchies, and I have absolutely nothing against monarchies. But given that I was born in a republic, I would support making a republic over a monarchy.
Hong Kong would (more or less) be the same as OTL. Given that it is part of a single nation, it may be possible to see some non-Chinese move into the city (and the Chinese moving within the UC). I have never heard of Kowloon, so I am no help here.
If I am reading LG correctly, British India is divided into several dominions and crown colonies (see here). India proper would be treated as a settler colony, while the other regions would have special status within the UC (more or less dominions). Based on what I know, it looks like Ghandi would be a part of Baroda. He could be a PM there. He may have been an advocate towards Indian equality with London, but I am not an expert on Ghandi.
I now have to correct myself. I support republics, but I would never support an Islamic Republic (or a theocratic republic in any form). Also given that the UK is a de jure theocracy (with the Queen being the head of the Anglican church) is another reason I would prefer republics over monarchies. But anyway, back to the question. I would guess the monarchy would exist (as well as the name "Persia"). With monarchies remaining dominant around the world, I doubt a republic would be considered. It also depends on how radical Islam would develop here. My guess, it would still be a monarchy.
I am still fuzzy as to what happens in the Arabian peninsula. LG has told me that much of the British claims become integrated into the UC (as dominions and crown colonies). The Ottoman Empire still falls, but what happens to Iraq I can't say for sure. This will have to be discussed later on. But Saddam would likely not come to power (or any radical leader in the region). --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 21:29, April 30, 2013 (UTC)

RE:The Storm (NotLAH)
Storm is basically OTL Al-Qaeda. Because of the recent militant actions in the region the terrorist group rose up much earlier, unlike Al-Qaeda which wasn't founded until the late 1980's. Also like Al-Qaeda the US is probably going to indirectly fund them, but I'd imagine it will eventually end in a similar relationship as OTL. Mscoree (talk) 23:34, May 5, 2013 (UTC)

This is the size I plan to build the reservior. However, I was wondering whether if it would be implausible to build or would it be too small? I have looked into the population statistics of South Africa, and the area where I plan to build my reservior is very lightly populated.
On another note, I have my white population expanding almost exponentially (faster than my black population), who speak mostly Afrikaans. Therefore I was wondering whether I would be able to enter into a union with the Netherlands or make them a puppet or a close ally or something? It would give a chance for first the whites in the Netherlands to come to South Africa to live, and when the zombies were pushed back for a large exodus of whites back to the Netherlands. What is your opinion? :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 13:11, May 6, 2013 (UTC)

Why have you edited this page? This goes against timeline and (most likely) site rules (LG has even threatened to block those who do this). I have not given you any permission to add anything to this page, let alone to a topic which I purposely had hidden from that article. Why you would unhide and expand on it is beyond me, and I am truly upset at you for this. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 03:08, May 12, 2013 (UTC)
- I guess it depends on the admin, but I am not one who takes kindly to unasked work. I do appreciate your enthusiasm for the timeline, and I don't wish for you to leave because of this. Just understand that I wrote an editorial guideline for new users to understand, and that hidden stuff in an article is hidden for a specific reason. In this case, the original author of this timeline was brain dead and had no concept of reality here. I too have no idea where "Caroline" is, and so I removed it until I can get to it.
- As for you suggestions (which next time bring up in a talk page), I see absolutely no reason why the Aleutian islands should become their own province. If you got the idea from Russian America, the reason they gained it was because of a larger Aleut population and a movements towards Aleut nationalism (which is nowhere near the case here). Alaska would not change its borders here (aside from the Brits getting their [somewhat] preferred border in the panhandle), and would not relocate its capital from New Archangel. But in the end, I have no idea what the borders will look like. I would appreciate it if you leave it that way until I can get to it. I have lots of ideas for Borealia, and I plan to get to it some day. --NuclearVacuum (Talk) 04:03, May 12, 2013 (UTC)
I'm anti-Israeli because the Israelis continue to defy international law while claiming that they are the oppressed side. The Israelis bomb the Arab nations with impunity, illegally settle land that isn't theirs, use the Bible to defend their claims, but convinently ignore the part where God forsake them after killing his Son. Then, they have the nerve to try to press the United States to pass laws prohibiting Americans and Israelis from saying that they killed Jesus as their sole supporters are the right-wing Christian parties that Israel uses to drag America into every war and dispute they ever cause. They invaded several nations, but cry foul when the others do the same. They hide behind the United States whenever their plans fail, and attack others whenever they believe they can get away with it.
Israel has killed several thousands of Palestinians in their attempt to ignore UN resolutions, and whent he other Arab countries intervene to help them, the Israelis use their superior military capabilities to destroy them. Israel is under no threat as it is still the most powerful nation in the Middle East, yet uses its size as an excuse for why other nations shouldn't attack when while their freely bomb the mess out of everyone else. The Mossad kidnapped a man straight out of Italy to silence his attempts to tell the world that Israel had nuclear weapons, yet, the government states that the other nations have no right to have them.
I never said the Arab nations were saints, I just said the Israelis are the worst of the bunch. Rarely do you see Arab forces commited extra-judial killings in other nations, kidnapping foreigners to be tried in another nation regardless of international law, violate the soverignty of entire nations to bomb the capitals of other nations, or hide behind a larger power and attempt to get them to fight their battles for them. They handle their own problems and don't drag the youth of another into their messes because their a bunch of punks with a superiority complex. Half of the Israeli population thinks the world is against, and its true. They've violated several hundred UN laws, and have lied on many occasions about their intentions and problems. As for Munich, I don't recall any of the Arab nations getting together and plotting the whole thing out. Nor do I recall them sending out death squads to illegally murder the culprits.
And doesn't Israel's blockading Gaza and and attacking humanitarian vessels trying to get food to the starving Arabs there count as an atrocity? Or the murder of hundreds of Palestinians during the Second Infiada count as one? I don't read anywhere in the research I've made over the years where the Israelis have lost more life than the Palestinians. Time after time after time, the Palestinians have always lost more people whenever Israel shows up. So yes, the Arabs aren't without sin. The Israelis just take the cake when it comes to counting them. By the way, there is no Palestinian state because by the time Israel finally agrees to stop stealing Palestinian land, there won't be anything left to form a state with. Well none of my nations really have relations with Lithuania in PM2. I suppose if you trade and get an alliance with the Levant then okay sure. But I don't think the Caliphate, Federation or Maldives, etc. would really care enough to get involved in this war. Oh right, well I'd give it at least 15 years of building up your military and economy. I might have vassalised it (though probably not) but for certain the nation entered a Union with me in the 1730s. Yet Scraw stated that Sindustan joined Germany as a client state. Yet I told him that Sindustan is Orissa-inclined and would not join a nation which has just taken land from Orissa. He does not believe me.

PMII Mod event 1743
Rheatia, otherwise known as Switzerland undergoes a revolt against France. Nine of the Cantons lead by Bern demand freedom from French influence much to the displeasure of Geneva. They seek Bavarian and Italian protection.
do you agree with this mod event, i'm asking because France has taken a expansionist expansion of its right to its vassals and protectorates and full freedom of action within ther nations as far as their actions mean no harm to others, and a like other nations has granted freedom to other ethnicities in the empire almost eversince the start of the game (although as Burgundy), yet nations like wales and germany have not been so favorable towards them, and instead of they being the ones that have revolts often enough, they have become world empires, and france who tries to do so, its been either broken or shattered.
so knowing these, as well as the fact that every main nation of the French monarchic empire is a constitutional monarchy, do you think the mod event is still likely?

Can't you just choose another country? I've been planning unions for at least 11 years, and the mods already agreed to a Union of the Hellenic States ( see here: http://althistory.wikia.com/wiki/Principia_Moderni_II_(Map_Game)#1788 ) and I don't think it's fair on me to have that taken away from me regardless. You have the vast majority of the Arabian Peninsula to choose from, and besides, please tell me how I'm wielding too much power? It's ATL, small countries can gain possessions, or there's no point in playing, because it's pretty darn obvious what the results will be. And I've been slowly expanding over a period of what, 300 plus years? and that isn't anywhere near levels of other countries like Orissa. Airlinesguy (talk) 08:40, August 21, 2013 (UTC)

Plus, if you think it is a boon, I'll treat it like its on a 100 year lease, so you'll recieve a good payment for the land every year, as our good faith. How does that sound? :L Imp (Say Hi?!) 19:08, September 12, 2013 (UTC)

Hey Yank. If ya look at the dicussion on the latest PMII algo, you'll see the argument about former vassals and the penalty. Now, Von explained this to me before, but Viva is in Vivaland. So, uh, just wanted your opinion!

PMII: Urgent, Top Secret
Hey, so Russia has really just overextended itself by going to war with 3 NPCs all at once. As Persia, I can easily gain entrance into this war, which Russia is already barely winning, and then proceed to turn the tables on them and begin to annex their lands.
- Russia just lost Germania (huge ally)
- Chance for complete overthrowal (not that we'd use it, but we'd leave a Russian rump state for Lx)
- Reunite AP's Scandinavia
- Solidifies your stance vs a united Germany
- Minimal risk of intervention (everyone is too war weary)
- Russia is already almost losing in the Algo.
- Tiny chance of losing
Now, I wanted to give you a demo algo that you could look forward to, so here we go!

Re: Nation Switch (PMII)
I would advise you not to go against Russia. They still have buffer states and a lot of allies. Plus, the nation switch was meant to take place from 1831 to 1841. I'll have a chat with Viva on the issue. :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 12:25, September 21, 2013 (UTC)
Ahoy mate. Meet me on chat ASAP, and don't go to war with Russia. Dangerous move. Rex or no Rex, since Rex normally screws his allies over.
21:52, September 21, 2013 (UTC)
No one has asked about it, and I guess I forgot that the problem was fixed, lol. Why don't you go and propose graduation?
As for the other articles.... the reasons vary. Mostly, it is because they are ones that we already know exist in canon, but the article in its current form holds major issues with canon, and needs reworking. The authors have promised to fix these, and by and large are still around, so they still have reign to work on them. Few others are much the same reason, but the author refuses to fix the content to reflect canon because they refuse to accept the opinion of the community. Still, there is some I should contact/remind the author about.
Heck, for that matter, there's a few on there that you have and need work, lol. Guess you can call that a reminder ;)
Yunnan and Stuff (again sadly!)
Hey Yank! Nice to see you back in force on the wiki (referring to DD, lol).
Since you have a very major hand in China I was hoping whether you would be able to add to those articles once more. The last activity we had for most of them was over a year ago. Now I remember Oer and stuff talking about getting the PRC to the sea in late 2011. Itscoming up to two years in that front. Plus, I was wondering if Yunnan would be able to increase its proper control to most if not all of the former state by now. That dictator would like more power I would have guessed, lol.
Plus, it would be nice if you or Arstar could add stuff to the (Tiwanese) Republic of China about it consolidating territories or expanding its influence, you know. I would absolutely love an article about the Tiwanese-Nanchung War. You know, things like that. Plus, I'll be improving the Yunnan CoA is that is all right with you! :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 18:55, September 28, 2013 (UTC)
Lol Yank. I actually wanted to find out what your plans for the nation were. But, I too, have suggesstions for the nation. First of all, I think Mr Fu might have got bored of his territories. He would have looked to expand his control toward the north and northeast, influence and allicence that is. In his "home territories", he would have probably expanded the area of "proper" control to atleast most of Yunnan by now.
See, now these are the ideas I am talking about! What date are we talking with the death of Mr Fu. Already dead, or is his condition deteriorating as we speak? I am interested in how the democracy forms. Does the public get wind of what happened in Vietnam and think following in their footsteps would be the right way forward? Or are they more inspired by the way its neibhour Guanxi is run and choose instead to follow its form of democracy?
And the expansion, I see you agree too. The question is which way do we get it to expand and by how much? The government is pretty well organised and considering they are the most stable governments around, they must have begun expanding in the late 2000s if not earlier. I guess Yunnan is the powerhouse that no one really knows about, and as soon as it opens up, growth rates in the nation will be extraordinary. The new government would quickly want to open relations with Vietnam seeing as how they are the new economic power in the region and we could see the nation's economy grow.
This is good stuff Yank. North by Notheast - toward those two former cities which were nuked? It would mean that they can take control of many of the industries in the area which are undoubtedly there. Yunnan has industrial capabilites, I think its time it realised them, lol.
Fu dies in 2002. Good plan, 12 years to play around with. Short civil war with democratic victory, seems fine to me. We are counting on the fact that the army would have grown tired in having to keep the nation under such heavy authoritarianism I'm guessing. Yea, I think that would be the first moves to take place - that move was truely North Korea esque. I guess the might open up diplomatic relations with the Siberians?
I guess they would quickly move to establish extensive trading relations with Guanxi and Vietnam to make sure their industry has a large market to sell its products to. I would guess that they would seek relations where they could transport their goods to both the respective nations' ports to be able to export their goods to other nations, providing more cash to an economy that could use it.
Plus, it said on the page they supplied the Dragon State and Nanchung with weapons and stuff. What were their intentions? And I would think all the aid to those raider nations would be cut before you could say "what". Thoughts? :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 21:06, September 30, 2013 (UTC)
No, I meant as in we can write about the past 12 years in more detail. The civil war last uptil 2005 is completely fine with me, it means we get to have a good amount of years to state about the recontruction and boom and stuff in Yunnan lol. :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 15:47, October 1, 2013 (UTC)
What? Its your brainchild, it doesn't seem right I would do the editing. All I hoped to do was get the ball rolling. 2004 for the death of Mr Fu. As you are the creator, I should have been listening to you. Imp (Say Hi?!) 22:04, October 1, 2013 (UTC)
Lol, thank you! I hope so too. I think these were mainly my ideas for Yunnan. Just a last note, what type of democratic government do you think the nation will adopt? :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 22:29, October 1, 2013 (UTC)
Do what you know best as they say! Guanxi is actually ruled by a technocratic council. Thoses elected democratically after their IQ has been tested to see if they are fit for the job and their work background is looked into. Then the candidates stand up for election and get democratically chose. Bit complex, but it does mean a nation has clever people running it, lol. :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 06:52, October 2, 2013 (UTC)
I've never even heard of Skoda, so sure.

Would you be interested in assisting me in 'hanging on to Russia' for a while? If Lx is leaving, I don't want some random anon picking up his work. But if we move quickly and take Russia out before someone rejoins, we can split it however we wish or give it back to Lx when/if he returns. Just some imperialistic brain droppings. 21:34, October 5, 2013 (UTC)
Can you help me nt get invaded and therefore wiped off the planet from russia
Why are you continualy claiming Suur-suomi as part of scandinavia, form my understanding, 1. we established long ago that mods can't make mod events that detatch a nation from another person and add it to their nation and 2. Suur-Suomi, an independnat nation, has no pretense whatsoever to join, you said yourself that adding finland to scnadinavia was a mapmaking mistake, why do you continue to defend it as fact?-Lx (leave me a message) 01:14, October 15, 2013 (UTC)'
You know what they say: "When you assume you make a ass out of you and me". I had come back, and I appologize for ignoring your diplomatic overtures, I barely find times to edit as-is, forcing myself to find time so that this does not happen again. I had those territories in scandinavia for resons, so that people dont just cut off trade through the baltic if there is ice and whatnot, I dont think one player should have control of the cat's neck, so I got arround that by having a land route through sweeden. Well...not so much a problem now...but still a precausionary measure...that was the purpose for the norwegian State...and I like Finland...I think its awesome...Again, you fully admitted that you getting all of suur-suomi is based on your desires to distance me from you, not from plausibility, or from the position of a moderator that has to try to be impartial to personal desires and feelings and rule for the good of everyone, not just themselves. I liked Finland so much as to even name it in its native tongue and make it into Greater Finland, not just Finland, and other states. Once agian, there is no logical reason Suur-Suomi would even want to get annexed, even if the brittish parliment was blown up with the Queen, it would have zero reprecussions on the political scene of Canada. The only issue is finland not recognizing the tsar and keeping their governor as temporary ruler due to the fact that the tsar is no longer elected, but there is constitutional negotiations and convincing of people for that.-Lx (leave me a message) 15:08, October 15, 2013 (UTC)
Unforeseen Stuff (DD)
Hey Yank. Turns out there are things we forgot to talk about when concerning Yunnan. We are going to need a new flag for the nation. Now I think we cannot really change the colours, however for the flag maybe we should remove the 4 smaller stars and make the large star even larger to take up more room on the flag and symbolise the unity of the people. For the Coat of Arms, I think we should remove the communist elements and do the same concerning the stars, remove the smaller ones and make the large one take up more room.
Apologies for taking so long to respond - been one of those weeks.
Can probably give you something, but I'd really need more info than that. What part of the US are you looking at? Big place, after all.
As an fyi, don't worry about OM - he's wrong, overall.
I've had itYank, I need you to look at the maps of South Africa in PMII for the last 10 years (3 maps). As you can see, I can expand much faster than Collie, and yet he still seems to be getting more land than me. 8/10 posts have all been before 9:00 UTC with the other two mere 15 minutes after it.
This is what I got for the last 5 years of my expansion, a mere 945px. Collie's colony somehow has the ability to take land on my border and stop my colonial expansion. He is very obviously abusing his powers. Could you please help me do something about it? Imp (Say Hi?!) 17:15, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Now that you mention it, I was planning to have a massive civil war between the faceists and the socialists/monarchists in a couple of years. I was going to need to work out the specs but I was planning to united Orissa and Ethiopia after the end of the war - and lose Baidu and stuff. I was going to have a monarchist back up state form and in the end of the war a faceist exile state in southern Atlantia.
So basically, PU is the furthest we can go? Becuase we planned a lot of genocide and stuff to take place - US Civil War gone global is how I would state it. If you want - for now Orissa and Ethiopia wull not united into one nation - but would you kindly not intervene in the war please? It is just a request. I just want it to play out my way. It will give me the chance to unite quite a few states. :) Imp (Say Hi?!) 17:54, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Well, I do hope so.
Ok, so basically this war has been expensive in the fact that it cost a lot of men in the war. That is why the allies won the war. So these Faceists (Fascists) will find an audience advocating the superiority of the darker skinned and more importantly the mistreatment of whites (ie French) due to the huge war the people just fought. They will gain following in southern Atlantia, followed by northern Atlantia and South Aprika, and then Ethiopian main territories before the rest of the United Maharajya. This will take around three years. I just need a kick off point for this. Maybe the invasion of the Boers?
This will lead to a lot of bloodshed - a 5 year civil war and the defeat of the faceists who will run to their exile state. They might even get Bakyuren joining them (will have to ask Kogasa). This will lead to the monarchs returning to the nation and praising the socialists who will win the election. Through good management of the nation and slight manipulating when needed, they will keep in power through democratic ways, before eventually the state evolves into technocracy (I will need to look into how there too).
An evolved version of what Collie did in PMI. I will be Hungary and first of all will sort out the initial mess. Then we plan to stop the Ottomans from entering Europe and creating the mess we call today the Balkans. I think we may go after Poland-Lithuania then. I basically plan to create a greater Hungary and forcefully move all the annoying Slavs to my colonies along with Hungarias so my Hungary lasts into the modern day. Don't really plan on mucking up German affairs either - that would just be a pain in the neck. Although if you want an alliance - that may be on the cards depending on what the game starts off as. Hopefully my Hungary will have to fight less player vs player wars lol. :D Imp (Say Hi?!) 19:03, November 9, 2013 (UTC)

Beylorussia (Yellowstone: 1936)
I see you have made the page for Beylorussia for the Yellowstone timeline, I actually plan to have the nation of Beylorussia independent for a while after the Second Russian Civil War, but to soon join secede back into the successor of the USSR shortly after the civil war as an autonomous figure in the new nation, since it will be a large confederacy. I don't want to shoot down your idea for your Beylorussia page but for you to continue it after it has been implemented into the successor of the USSR. Re:New English Settlement of Columbia (13: Fallen Stars)
Funny you should bring it up, because LG suggested this idea to me a while back, and I pretty much have made it head canon. I wasn't aware that Portland's name was decided in a coin toss. I'll remember this, though either or could be a good name. -- NuclearVacuum 17:17, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
- I wouldn't doubt many French revolutionaries would've fled to Louisiana following the failure to "liberate" France, and they'd likely help feed the flames which lead to Louisiana's own revolution. The problem is that this doesn't happen until decades later (I believe the 1820s, but I don't remember off the top of my head), so many (such as Napoleon) would likely be mild figures by this time. But in the end, there appears to be many Cajuns who would fit the bill for leaders for Louisiana (one in particular was one of the the first Governors of Louisiana, who I have as the George Washington of the nation). -- NuclearVacuum 18:53, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
I feel pretty confident that Louisiana would be a safe haven for freed slaves. In fact, I foresee LA and Haiti being very close to each other (in fact, Haiti would likely be MUCH better off ATL). While I don't see Louisiana going as liberal as what France did (OTL), I do believe they'd be enough to include freedom for all (by this point, I doubt slavery would've been seen as an option viable). They'd probably be similar to where the northern states on this position (free and equal, but some tensions).
I do agree it would be a large nation (especially in comparison to its smaller neighbors), but the US survived in one piece. Since you mentioned size, I'm exploring the idea that with the Cajuns having no real need to populate the areas of the Dakotas and Minnesota like the US did (combined with being more liberal), I think the native Sioux people may remain dominant in the area and petition to become their own state within Louisiana (kinda like an Oklahoma, but more like if the Navajo Nation became a state). It would also act as a buffer between Louisiana and the more populous Borealia. -- NuclearVacuum 02:49, November 30, 2013 (UTC)
- Well if you remember your history, during the French and Indian Wars (and well before it), the French and Native Americans had good relations (which is why the majority of the natives sided with them over the land-wanting British). Can't see Louisiana being too different.
- While they could be avoided in Louisiana (for the most part), the Trail of Tears was inevitable to happen in Carolina and (to a lesser extent) the other "American Republics." Over time, however, ATL Oklahoma would become no different from OTL. -- NuclearVacuum 04:39, December 1, 2013 (UTC)

It's a dirty job - but someone's got to do it. :)
addressing the growing socialist movement I've decided to form my own politcal philosophy called Relativism
A branch of facism that revolves around the superiority of the Germanic people. Ties into the belief that the Germans are a chosen people by the Nordic Gods to bring Science and knowledge to the world and to promote the idea of the 8 realms.
The philsophy is highly technocratic and focuses on merit. It is also very capitalistic in nature and is a direct antithesis to that of Eqaulism, whom Relativists see as inferior. Relativism comes from the belief that all things are in flux, that everything, is relative. It is also a play on Einstein's relatiity theorem. Fitting for a science led nation.
The political structure of this will be a peoples court
it will be socialist in the fact that the people work collectively for the greater good, but capitalist in the extent of science and technology.
Focuses on activism. Exporting the philsophy to other nations, particularly advanced nations is a priority.
Any aid in developing this further is most welcome.
I plan on using this as a technocratic philsophy that focuses on science but melds Nordic influences. Seeing as your Scandinavia I was wondering if your interested in adopting it or helping me streamline it. Its unique and I think a good alternative to Eqaulism..Trust Me, I'm The Doctor (talk) 08:39, December 5, 2013 (UTC)

Yank, if you have a problem with how a nation is being made or run, just message the user about it rather than just calling the nation in derogatory terms. Its not respectful and even though Viva changed the article name and what it represented - becoming a freer and democratic nation - the way you went about it was not the right one. You are a good user Yank, but please keep this in mind for the next time. Thank you. Imp (Say Hi?!) 22:20, December 11, 2013 (UTC)

Ironically, you are half right. My original idea for Fortune Bay was to be an American base to secure oil resources in the area (though the signing of the Venus Treaty limited the full potential the area could've been). Now I see it as being a growing settlement with three main functions. The first to secure American interests in the north polar regions of Venus, secure the natural wealth of Ishtar Terra, and as a scientific base to study the north pole of Venus. The name Fortune Bay is simply a play on the name "Fortuna Tessera" (which is the scientific name for this part of Venus), so you can see why I envisioned it as a "Venusian Saudi Arabia" to some degree. -- NuclearVacuum 21:47, December 20, 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delayed response, but I'm currently getting over a cold and loosing track of time. But anyway, you've given me an idea involving Fortune Bay. Like I've said previously, its origins date to the late 1990s ('98 seems about right) as a resource station (oil, natural gas, etc.). Despite the region's opposition to the Venus Treaty (which virtually made the station pointless as an oil exporter), the amount of investment by wealthy Americans (and the like) began to resurrect the settlement as a kind of "Las Vegas" of Venus. It is a tourist destination, a way station for the North Polar region, a scientific base, and had become an oil exporter (though highly limited).
- I know it's asking a bit much, but I would be honored if you'd like to adopt the article and work out the details of the settlement (if you are interested, of course). -- NuclearVacuum 21:01, December 22, 2013 (UTC)

Well, there are two. One with the star above the crown, and the other with just the star in the corner.
Hi, Yank. Since Kannapolis is mentioned as having a surviving community, we must assume that it is a refuge city for survivors from nearby Charlotte. From what I can tell, so far, Dale Earnhardt, Sr., was at the race near Martinville, Virgina, on DD. As discussed elsewhere, if he was not travelling home via Winston-Salem (which was the nearest strike), then he survived. The travel home after the strikes would most likely have been very difficult, and meets a plausibility problem. Kannapolis is almost 100 miles from Martinsville.
This would leave Dale Earnhardt, Jr., surviving with his mother (if they had not traveled with Dale, Sr.) in Kannapolis in a town in turmoil. In 1983, the Earnhardts were the most notable family in town, so it is reasonable to build a survivor community around them and their friends.
Since the town is on the county line, remnants of both counties would make up the boundaries on whatever city-state that arises. Since Rowan County is further from the blasts over Charlotte, I'd say most of the population would be in that county. There do not seem to be any natural barriers to define a city-state centered on Kannapolis, so the town will have to be ruled by a strong council or individual with a resolve to survive "on its own" against all odds. I am not sure if this is plausible.
However, I do see an eastern boundary at Lake Fisher, with an artificial boundary formed on the east and south by Interstate 85. To the west there is Don T. Howell Reservoir, which I assume is formed by a hydro-electric dam on it's south end. This might be a source of power when and if it is restored. Nearby towns will doubtless be incorporated into any city-state centered in Kannapolis as well.
Look into the possibility of whatever power structure was in place in 1983. Consider the consequences of refugees from Charlotte and maybe from as far away as Winston-Salem. I welcome your response. SouthWriter (talk) 19:42, April 26, 2014 (UTC)
Hey, I'm sorry I have been taking a while on the notes, but I am up to my ears in off-wiki assignments and projects, so maybe you could brainstorm some. Anyways, I like that idea for a faction, but I believe we should go more "Fallout 3" with factions rather than the pervasiveness of the New Vegas factions, as the AIs would likely not tolerate biological humans, and want humans to play the major part in that region. Cahokia/Mississipia is expanding significantly and is pissing off other colonial powers. War is inevitable and they will likely lose, I'd like if you could get involved/force me to get involved/allow me to get involved to secur the rest of the penninsula, because I don't think I can declare war on my own. Kurt Cobain's Haircut (talk)
I see that you're vassalizing the Yamasee. After that is done I plan on vassalizing the South-penninsula tribes, and at that point I think I'll be able to handle vassalizations on my own. Also, I will invade the Eastern Penninsula tribes once you give the green light and preferably before the South-penninsula Tribes (probably after the incorporation of the Yamasee). Charter Colony PM III
Hello I was wondering if you would be kind of enough to grant me a charter to found a colony in OTL Puerto Rico. It would act similiar to your other colony but a little more independent like what happened historically with British and some French colonies, which were not funded by the state but by joint-stock compamies. So if you would like to sponsor a colony founded by a joint-stock company please contact and if you don't contact me still and explain just a bit why you don't. Thanks for reading this far.Grantzu (talk) 15:13, August 1, 2014 (UTC)
Royal Marriage Proposal
Hi, I'm contacting all the major nations in Europe in PM3 to tell you about some royal marriage proposals available this turn, for three different royal families. On my turn there are currently fifteen people who are looking for a spouse, simply reply to my turn as soon as you can to reserve a person. I will be looking over the proposals to try to avoid incest (although a little incest never killed nobody haha), and if you'd like to see family relations yourself, feel free to check out this page, where the family tree is located. If you would like further information or my recommendations for a particular person, message me back with your available children and their ages and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks, Mscoree (talk) 15:44, August 11, 2014 (UTC)
Recently I was working on the list of rulers for the nation of Prussia in PM3. I was wondering if you had information on some of the earlier rulers to help me fill in some of the blanks. Let me know if you recall any of the previous rulers and I will be sure to add them. Thanks, NonEuclidean ツ (Talk) 22:33, September 16, 2014 (UTC)
Chat, por favor? ~Rex
Hey, its Saturn120, the Controller of Japan in PMIII. I would like to inform you that you have been at war with Manhcuria and me for a few years, and i havent seen anything in your post about it. Im nit critizing your post, but i would at least like to have seen something mentioning the war. Saturn (Talk/Blog) 21:16, November 26, 2014 (UTC)
I think he declared war on you because you have the biggest city in China; Bejing. He also wanted to do it to avenge an over a conflict 100 years ago; when guns China invaded the Ming. Saturn (Talk/Blog) 00:56, November 27, 2014 (UTC)
Thing is, with the exception of 'China builds up Military and Economy', you don't post much. I considered this a sign that you are not active, moreover; if you really cared about your nation then you would have atleast contributed more.
The point is, I can't simply sit around being a weak nation while another guy conquers NPC's after NPC's since he has no competetion in Southern China. I had to invade Ming whether the Ming under Guns had invaded Manchu in 1538 or not. I am afraid I cannot just sit idle for fear that it would hurt other's feelings. Hey, could I talk to you on chat whenever you have a chance?
Re: Chat Ban
Yank, simply put, you were being an ass and generally disrupting chat. It doesn't matter what Lx did in some other game, that game is over and no longer relevant. Keep your vendetta from that game out of other games. PMIII is not PMII or PM and if you're carrying over a grudge from those games then you're just metagaming, which, may I remind you, is against the rules. So basically, get over it and please refrain from being an ass. Thanks.

Hey, I might switch to Japan in PMIV. Russia's kind of in a terrible position for any fun to be had lol. You want to work together in an East Asian power bloc like old times?
When you get the chance, could you meet me on chat at some point? Got some PM things to take care of. Alternatively, you have me on Skype, so feel free to message me there instead. Whatever's easier for you.
