Vernall Varnado (born December 13, 1949, in Magnolia, Mississippi), a Vietnam veteran, singer and record producer who was part of the Motown collective, Varnado had 2 sons, rappers noop Dogg and Tim Dog (who after an examination of DNA had actually discovered that he was his son from a later relationship) Varnado was responsible for giving success to several artists on the Motown record label and became president of the collective until his retirement in 2006.
