Vichy is a city in France, and a major spaceport in the country. After the arrival of the Zheronians, Vichy became the largest city in France due to the newly installed space docks, eclipsing even Paris.
In 1951, the French Resistance under Charles de Gaulle stole a government ship, the Revolution Nationale, and made off with it into space, rechristening it the Free French Ship Georges Clemenceau. This was an embarrassment for Pétain's regime, who proceeded to make Vichy one of the most heavily defended ports in the solar system.
