The time is December 31st 1942 And The world is a bastion of Democracy. Hitler was executed for treason in 1924 after the storming of the government house in Munich. He was made a martyr and a Saint to the remaining people who supported him, who fled to the Bavarian wilderness and secluded places by the end of that year, effectly ending nazism as a coherent ideology. The party was unable to gain any steam after this but pockets of supporters still remained. Through the hatred of the government for "Murdering" their Fuherer, they resisted and kept on until the current date. After this however, the Weimar stabilized and no further revolts occurred for the next couple of years until the stock market crash of 1929. This hit germany hard as the government, while stable was quite weak in its policy and economic measures. In thus timeline, The Entente realizes that Germany wasn't a co-beligerant in the war. And that Austria was to blame. So they ended up further splitting up austria into 3 separate states. With this in consideration Germany had no allies to depend on for Imports and exports. Which made the Great Depresion for Germany even more worse. Mass Starvation occurred despite the government trying to distribute bread and fruits to the people. But there wasn't enough due to crop fields being infected by a unknown disease. This disease occurred in the Eastern Pommerenia and other regions near Poland. Where xenophobia againist polish farmers cultivated in the 1930 "Pink Cleansing" which were carried out by Nazi Sympathizers who killed many polish farmers and were later arrested for these actions and put on trial. This became a worldwide event and were Controversial. It brought into question that if germans couldn't feed themselves, how could they let others into their country to take what's was theirs. This lead to a small revival in the Nazi Ideology, with Hermann Goring finally taking the reigns and unifying the movement. The parry, although Offically banned, started having secret meetings again in Munich to discuss the future of Germany
Italy is the sole torch of Facism in this world in 1942. The tensions with the rest of Europe run high as Mussolini Sucesfully supported a Egyptian revolution against the British in 1937, who quickly allied themselves and became a Jihadist Theocracy under (-Insert Future Ruler name Ideas-). It was after this incursion that the UK and France Embargoed Italy, stopping them from all trade via Gibralter. This angered the Italian nation who locked the suez canal for an entire week to all travel except for Italian ships is what has been known as the "Suez Denial Crisis of 1938". Rather than weaken italy, it meerly forced them to trade with other partners, such as the United States, who with the help of the Saudis, tracked in oil to Italy. This put a tension between the USA and the UK, whom the UK saw the USA's behavior as "helping the Facists ", while the USA saw it as purely economic oriented. But as time went on and nearly a year of Embargos galore, the UK needed a new source of income. This came out as the purchase of Senegal from France in the "January Agreements", in January of 1939. Where senegal would be developed as a British Stopping point for refueling of ships going around africa. This made France very rich, stuffing the pockets of the already corrupt government, which by this time saw much internal turmoil due to the constant Communist uprisings and demonstations. The Soviet Union also knowingly supported this, with the help of the Spanish Republic as well. It wasnt until late 1939 when after months of the French government getting fat off its trade deals and sale of senegal to the UK, that the 4th French Revolution occured on September 9th, 1939. It exploded when Jean Fonseca, a wealthy french politician in Orleans openly admitted to a crowd at his house party while very drunk, that he had "made himself the richest man by sitting back and letting others break thier backs for him". This triggered a Communist partisan to shoot him point blank in cold blood.
This murder then turned to a riot as many people joined the unknown killer, and it was soon that nearly 300 thousand Communist supporters stormed all the French government buildings and overthrew the government. The Army, who was mostly right wing affiliated, tried to crack down on this. But thier brutality only caused center and even some right wing people to jump in on the side of the Communists. All around Paris the words "Nous ne serons pas gouvernés", meaning "We shall not be govorned" could be heard. It became a warcry by the revolutionaries as it took days for the crowds to leave the capitol, which was left in a mess. The aftermath of this revolution caused the UK to alarmingly stop trade with the French due to economic concerns about the instability and the new Communist regime in France. This initiated blowback from all Commitern nations who promptly shut off thier ports to the UK. With both Egypt and France gone, the UK stood alone. It wasnt until the German Prime Minister (-Insert name-) approached the UK to give a formal declaration of an alliance and partnership between the nations. The UK readily accepted this and the Alliance of Democracy (AD) was formed. All of this came to a head when Italy decided to invade Tunisia and Algeria while France was unstable. The UK, Germany, Poland, Norway, and Portugal, all being members of the (AD), formed a coalition to stop Italy's expansion amid the French Revolution. This culminated in a war that occured from December 4th, 1939-October 18th, 1941. The war lasted 2 years and was brutal, with the North Africa Campaign being the main spotlight as Polish Hussar rangers fought on the Atlas mountain alps in Morocco, and the British Marines storming Tripoli and Benghazi. The war only changed against Italy when Benito Mussolini fell into a coma in July 1941 due to a brain disease. The central leadership of italy focused on Mussolini had broken, and Generals began to act independantly of one another.
The next battles of Tripoli in August 4th, 1940, and Oran in October 2nd 1940 both dealt major blows against the Italian war machine. It was around this time that Germany had fully mobilized, and crossed the alps to confront Italy. They were assisted by the Alpine Republic who provided local terrain knowledge that saved many lives while troops crossed dangerous mountain terrain. The first battle occured on Febuary 7th, 1941 when a Slovenian brigade of Auxilary troops guarding the border noticed the 83 thousand German troops barreling through Tyrol. The Slovenian troops were poorly trained and were not able to reisist. The Alps mountains which Italy had thought couldent be crossed, had been. It was all thanks to (-Insert future general-) who had proved himself via the next upcomming battles of (insert 3 battles), as he captured the northeastern section of italy and pushed towards Tuscany. At this point, Mussolini had recovered from his coma only to see his empire crumble as the Germans took both Genoa and Milan on June 6th, 1941. As the Germans advanced towards Bologna, the last stronghold of Italy before the road to Rome was open, Mussolini knew something had to be done. With his head still bandaged (famous shot of him with bandage on head insert), he went in person to Bologna and ordered his Generals to stop retreating, and to dig in for a defence of Tuscany. This staggered the advancing Germans, but did not stop them. This all resulted in heavy casualties on both sides, with the nickname of "The battle of the Tuscany Slaughterhouse", which lasted from August-September of 1941 being attributed to this siege. Many of Mussolini's experianced Generals died in the British/German joint artillery fire and he was forced to evacuate to Rome. Not very long after this, Mussolini was forced to sign a unconditional surrender to the AD as they reached Rome not long after the Tuscany Sieges. He said that "I will not let Rome fall, not an enemy boot come within, for it is ours"
