Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, KG, OM, CH, TD, DL, FRS, RA (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965) was a British/English statesman who served as the first President of England from 1949 to 1957. He also served as the last Lord Protector of the Commonwealth of Great Britain and Ireland from 1928 until he was deposed in 1933 by Oswald Mosley.
