In the last phase of World War II, Russia entered a civil war that led to the overthrow of the Rodzaevsky government and the establishment of the Provisional Government of Russia. Even after the end of World War II in 1946, peace did not begin as the provisional Russian government got into another civil war between communists and democrats. During the Third Civil War, the Chinese government decided to intervene in the civil war to establish a socialist state in Russia. After China entered Russia, the Allies also decided to enter Russia with the goal of restoring a democratic monarchy. After the end of the Third Russian Civil War, Russia was divided along the Urals into a western democratic monarchy and an eastern socialist republic.
