World War II was a global conflict spanning the world over.

The war began in 1939 with the Invasion of Poland which forced Britain and France to declare war on Germany. Germany and the USSR had signed a peace pact known has the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact which was meant to keep peace between the USSR and Germany for a decade. Germany, in 1940, quickly and swiftly invaded Scandinavia and the Benelux countries in order to have control in the North Sea and to enact the Manstein Plan. France was quickly invaded and Germany formed a French State this left Britain alone and soon peace talks emerged. Hitler himself said that he didn't want to destroy the British Empire. In May 10th Rudolf Hess officially makes peace between Germany and Britain afterward, Neville Chamberlain resigns from the British Prime Ministry. The Reich declares Victory but for Stalin and his fellow Soviets it was time to take action. Meanwhile in Asia, Japan wanted to create itself an empire and Invaded British, Chinese and French territories. In 1941, Italy invaded Greece to fulfill its ambitions of a Roman Empire with stunning success in its opening weeks. In December 12th of 1941 the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in order to invade the Philippines and to gain access to the Dutch East Indies. Japan quickly invaded the Philippines installing a puppet Government while treating American P.O.Ws horribly. The Axis Powers were at their extreme power line.

The American War-Machine was awaken and soon on May 24th, 1942 the Soviet armies were ready for an Invasion of Europe and a Defense of Russia. The Soviets began the Invasion when General Zhukov attacked the border between the USSR and Germany. General Ivan Konev attacked Romania taking Lasi in Two weeks. In Poland, General Zhukov would be in a heavy fight as the Germans would be defending it with no surrender. Meanwhile in the Pacific, America was making perfect progress with the land-hoping campaigns going great. Mao Zedong and his Guerrillas were doing particularly great with the support of the Soviets and were even conquering back some land that the Japanese had taken. Soviet industry was with ,each coming day, creating more tanks for the Soviet war effort with tanks like the KV-2 tanks, T-28 tanks and the early versions of the T-34-85 tanks. General Vasily Chikov and General Mikhail Katukov would battle the Germans in the Second battle of Poznan only taking Poznan after a month of repetitive encirclement tactics and Guerrilla tactics. In the Pacific the Americas were ever so reaching the Japanese Mainland and with this the Japanese began to battle

to their deaths with the morale of Death or Dishonor. This was prevalent in the Battle of Okinawa when the Japanese battled for every inch of land taken by the Americans. General Nimitz was the head for the Island hopping campaigns. General MacArthur would foresee the reconquest of the Philippines which would be one of the most brutal campaigns in the entire Pacific Front.
Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria would surrender when all their respective capitals were captured by the Soviets while in France General De Gaulle would rebel taking Paris after a month of battles allowing the Americans and Canadians to land in Omaha beach and Normandy. Italy would leave the war after making peace with the Allies. The Americans would kick the Japanese outta all islands in the Pacific and as a response all Japanese forces in Asia were recalled for a defense of the Mainland. The Soviets were soon to reach Berlin and if that were so all of Eastern Europe would be Under Stalin's Feet so in order to have some type of Influence in Europe the USA made an offensive into Benelux taking Potsdam in four months. Soon Germany had no way to fight back effectively. In April 16th 1944 the Soviets reached Berlin and made an offensive into the Reichstag. Hitler committed suicide and without a leader many Germans just fought to defend Germany and for their families from the Soviets. German Commander Helmuth Weidling would meet with General Georgy Zhukov to make unconditional surrender on the 2nd of May.
Aftermath[]
After the war Europe itself was divided between east and west. The Cold war had started with the Iron Curtain.
