The Xīnshídài Emperor (Traditional Chinese: 辛石戴, Simplified Chinese: 心石戴, born December 5, 1960) also known by his secular name Yuan Xiǎo Dān (元小丹) and his courtesy name Dēnggāo (登高) is the current Emperor of China.
The first son of the Chaoxiang Emperor, prior to becoming an emperor, Yuan Xiǎo Dān served in the Imperial Air Force, and was avid supporter of the Chinese space program, using his wealth and position to fund astronomical sciences in China. He was blessed by Buddhist monks in both China and Russian Empire, and was proclaimed to be a reincarnation of an ancient deity "from the heavens".
During the outbreak of the Sino-Russian conflict, against the Zhanhou Emperor's will, he went into battle against the Russians, and commandeered a Lieshen-13 against 3 Russian Sukhoi Su-9s over Manchuria. He took two of the planes down, however his was shot down, but he miraculously survived, and was able to convince his Russian captors to return him to safety, after they revealed to him of their sympathies for China. After this accomplishment, he was given the courtesty name Denggao, meaning "Ascend". He also continued to serve in the Imperial Air Force, in missions to support the monarchial governments in Korea, Vietnam and North Japan.
In 1996, after the death of the Chaoxiang Emperor, he succeeded. He was given the era name "Xinshidai" meaning "New Era", and was recognized as the "New Era Emperor". His coronation was attended by the emperors and heads of states of many Asian and European countries.
